Also, I am thankful that our new state (of a year, so newish, I suppose) just has so many free and super low cost summer fun options for the boys. We serioualy have so many fun new experiences on our calendar.

I need this today as I head out to my first of 2 pre op appointments for my mastectomy next Thursday. I'm not ready for it and every day closer to it is worse and worse.
I'm grateful for Lexapro. And for my three healthy rockstar kids who are my reasons for getting out of bed every day to face this shit.

I'm thankful that we are financially secure.
I'm thankful for Lexapro and Wellbutrin as I would not be functioning without them.

I am thankful for MH and the fact that he's such a good dad. I am also thankful for my job, as much as it pisses me off lately. It allows me to provide for my family and do things like landscaping projects and home renovations.
I am also thankful for my recent success in getting up early each day for yoga and reading. It had made a world of difference for me to have this alone time in the morning before the craziness of each day.

I am thankful for my mom. Since DD was 12 weeks old, except when I was unemployed, she has come up twice a week to watch DD for us and save us on childcare costs. Picks DD up on Tuesday, stays overnight two nights and goes home Thursday.

I'm thankful for an administrator who is understanding of my recent tardiness. I really appreciate her flexibility and understanding as I manage life after maternity leave.

I am thankful for husband who gets our little girls up every day and brings me coffee in bed. I'm thankful for our house that I love and my 4 amazing kids. When I was a newly divorced mother of 2 I struggled a lot, with finances and relationships and my own sense of self worth. I would never have guessed I would be lucky enough to have the life I do now.

I'm grateful for my amazing husband who works so hard and yet still gets up with our kid every morning, gets him showered, dress, fed, packs his lunch and takes him to school, while letting me sleep in. And, when he came in from walking the dogs this morning and found me getting sick, he asked that I didn't go to the gym this morning and suggested I take myself out to breakfast or go to the mall this morning. The man is very good to me.

I am thankful for the wonderful teachers that my kids have had every year, but especially this year. It's clear that these teachers really care about their job and the kids in their class and in turn my kids love going to school.

I'm thankful for a lot today. This morning, H was late for work (which was okay because he got called at 1 AM to walk someone through a job) and we actually got a minute to sit and talk before our day started. That rarely happens.
We talked about taking DS2 to the doctor for the nasty cold he's had for several days. I'm so thankful when our kids need care we can just call and take them in without stressing over copays, etc. As much as I bitch about tricare, I love that.
I'm thankful that this year has really been a wake-up call for us both as parents and as a married couple.
I'm thankful that DS1 practically bounced out the door this morning on his way to school when two months ago he couldn't walk.

She's on the fast track to sainthood. Yesterday, DS1 started first grade for summer school, and he was so excited he got the "good" first grade teacher. When he got in the car at pick-up, he said "Ms. D and Mrs. C in one year? How lucky am I??"

I love this thread.
I am grateful for my hardworking husband, my two little maniacs that make every day worth it, for my parents who do so much for us, for living a few minutes from the ocean, and for earl grey tea.

Great idea, zimmerframe. I'm grateful for two nights of solid sleep in a row. And, as cliche as it sounds, I truly am grateful for the heath of my friends and family, especially my daughter's.

I am thankful for so much right now. My H is the best man I could have ever asked for in my life. He has done so much for our family, while putting some of his dreams aside. I'm thankful for our daughter. She is 2 and brings a smile to my face every day I walk in to the house. My MIL is awesome and treats me like one of her own children, sometimes better than her own.
I have a job that helps support my family and has amazing benefits. My boss is very understanding and allows me to be flexible with my work when needed. She also helped me realize that sometimes, life gives you shit and you just have to find one thing you are thankful for each day and run with that.

I love this thread I am thankful I have something so positive to read to start my day. I am thankful that a scary medical situation a couple weeks ago turned out to be not-cancer. I am thankful that my husband has been amazing with me through it all and patient when my crazy shows.

I'm thankful exH and I have reached a place where we get along, are friendly, and willing & able to put DD's needs first. We had a rocky couple years post separation/divorce, but now all of us (exH, his wife, my husband, and I) all get along great. It's not always the easiest, but worth it.
Brought to you by a conversation overheard last night at the bar and I realized I was very lucky.

We moved to a brand new office this week and my commute is halved (now only 20 minutes including walking time), the office is gorgeous, bright, and clean, there's free apples and nice coffee, and I've been able to say hello to and socialize with so many more new people in the new free-flow layout. It's great.

I am thankful for our parents. They help us so much, especially with DD. I am also thankful for DH, DD, our health, jobs, reliable vehicles, roof over our head, food on the table, friends who always support us, and simply waking up every morning.

I'm grateful for the change in my job that's enabled me to WFH 4 days a week. The elimination of a 2.5-hour round trip commute 4 days a week has really eased my stress level and has made it so I can pick my kids up from daycare earlier and spend more time with them.

I'm also thankful that MH's career allows me to SAH, yet he and my doctor are supportive of me keeping my foot in the door of dentistry while I raise DD. I am home with her today and truly looking forward to a great day of just her and me.
