Dragging here too. DD decided this morning she did NOT want to go to summer camp, so we wound up having it out. She reluctantly got in the car. I was late to work.

My SMIL is completely ignoring MH. He has emailed and texted her and gotten no response. He completed her job when she wanted it done even though it put a huge amount of stress on him, put up with all of her ridiculous add-ons, gave her a discount on labor, didn't make anything on materials or help... and now she won't pay him. So much WTF. Well that's shitty. What kind of job was it? |

Hey all. I'm home recovering from our 8 our trip yesterday and 8 hour trip Monday. I'm beat.
Dh is scheduled for back surgery in a couple weeks, so we will be making the trip again soon. We have to travel on the kids birthday, and I'm irrationally sad about it.

I haven't read (and definitely haven't kept up with randoms every day) so forgive me if this has already been discussed, but has anyone else noticed there is no longer a "Parenting" board on TCF? @bunny and mack are now listed as moderators for a board called "Life: Uncensored." bunnyfungo? I can't keep up with the bunny name changes. We were the mods of Parenting. She just changed the name of the board. |

I trimmed up the hair around J's ears and back of his neck, he sat so well for the scissors. Usually he only sits still if I use clippers so this was a nice surprise.

DD didn't want to nurse last night and I had to convince her to nurse this morning. I think we are reaching the end of this time and it's making me question who I am because I have feelings about it. Sad ones. My black heart typically is not emotional about things of this nature. I think I am lucky I didn't know our last time nursing was our last time. I still get a little misty when I think about how that part is over - even though in thick of it all it was painful and hard and sucked. And I am not the emotional type either. Going through these transitions as a mother is just crazy and time really does seem to zip by. I was not prepared at all for DD to quit nursing and I was so sad, which I was not prepared for. She nursed in the morning, we went to visit H's sister for the weekend, and that night when I tried to put her down for bed she refused and never did it again. I even tried to get her to keep going and it just pissed her off. I had been preparing to wean but her doing it on her own really threw me. |

The baby is finally getting over 2 1/2 weeks of sickness and it is AMAZING. He's just entered the really clingy stage where he always has to be touching me or he whines but at least now he is doing it without snot running down his face. Also hopefully naps will soon be a thing that happens for us again soon. I'm doing the last of the planning for a very last minute trip leaving on Friday. We'll all be flying out together and then my H and oldest will come back Monday night since it is illegal to miss school here. I'll come back with the two youngest Thursday evening. I'm excited! A ton of work on her house that she rents - mostly exterior painting and some other repairs, etc. He did it at the expense of other jobs/clients to suit her demand that it be done by the end of the month, which given the shitty weather we've been having was difficult. She wrote him all these absurd emails and lengthy texts throughout being like I want you only at my job site until it's completed, you can't leave to work on other projects, I don't want to pay for this that and the other thing, etc. and then she never pays him in a timely fashion - also the last check wasn't even for the right amount. It's ridiculous. |
