We are home and I'm off today thank the Lloyd. Today will be getting unpacked and my life back together.
But first, coffee.

Had a weird dream. It involved a Lost message board I used to post on and a rumor that Matthew Fox and Emilie de Rhavin has an affair. Dominic Monaghan joined the message board to let us all know about the affair.
Pretty weird and it also made me miss my old screenname.

I did last minute book myself mani, pedi, and brows this afternoon. All of the above are in rough shape.

My little guy was 12 weeks old yesterday. To celebrate, he slept through the night for the first time. (9:15-5:30!) Would have been even more awesome if I hadn't needed to get up to pump. I'm hoping (likely in vain) that it happens again.

I have to leave early for work to pick up a couple of things for a coworkers birthday present.
Since we are celebrating her birthday today we are ordering Chinese food for lunch. Can't wait. Need lunchtime to be here now!

I am at work, drinking all of the coffee. Have a not so positive review to give to one of my employees today. Good news - I get to leave at noon to go help at my daughters school for the Kindergarten picnic. Just 6 more hours to go.

I am off work for the summer (teacher) and therefore home with my 9 month old. I have absolutely zero ideas for things to do with her. Swim lessons start next week. We went to a playgroup at the library last week, but it was pretty bonkers. The conversation quickly turned anti-vax. The logic (if you can call it logic) was that there is nothing a vaccine can prevent that can't be cured with essential oils and chiropractic adjustments 🙄. We won't be going back.
Any suggestions for stuff to do so I don't lose my fool mind this summer?

Work is going to be rough today. And I'm only working a half day. I'm just feeling really anxious about everything.

hufflepug we go on walks, visit friends, play in the yard, and stuff like that during the summer. My kids are a little older but I actually end up scheduling so much stuff that they usually ask if we can just stay home sometimes.

I am currently at a trailhead waiting for a friend so we can run. It is freaking early. The 12 month old thinks it's ok to wake up every three hours. And will just scream for dad. Will need coffee after this.

They're usually hikes set up by volunteers geared specifically to those with kids. The schedule will tell you if the walk/ hike can accommodate strollers. When she's older and walking, they also have toddler led hikes designed to go at the pace kid the toddlers in the group (short distances, breaks, etc)

We had to visit all the city parks and playgrounds and walk all of the trails. It was silly but it gave us something outside to do, and we saw more of our city that we didn't know about.

copperboom our county does the same with the regional parks in the area. I found one of our favorite playgrounds that way.

My son is now sobbing because daddy is taking him to school & not me (I have an appointment early today) & it's breaking my heart. And DD keeps saying she doesn't feel well. 😩 Just remember ALL THOSE DAYS you're flying solo.

I need DS to be in school so I can start Handmaid's Tale. All he's doing is smashing his toys together. Too early! Got about 20 minutes before we leave.

She also turns 5 next Wednesday. Oof.

Today is my Friday because tomorrow my H and I are going away for two KID FREE nights. We haven't had a kid free night since the night I was at the hospital in labor with my DD almost a year ago. And I am pretty sure that barely counts as a kid free night.
