Ophelia? Poppy could work as a nickname. I also saw Josephine, nickname Posey, also very cute.

wineallthetime I️ like Arlo. I’ve seen the good dinosaur and wouldn’t have connected it to that, at least not right away.

Maybe it's because my nickname was Bonia...

tgrimes, not sure why but Sloan is one of my most hated names. I do love Alice though and it was my grandma's name so we have talked about using it.

Maybe it's because my nickname was Bonia... But, but why...? Because it rhymed with my first name. I never had a nickname until high school.

I love Nam’s suggestion of Amelie. Cute! I like Poppy as well. Persephone is nms as much as I love Greek mythology. But if that’s what feels best to you, I think you should go for it! Don’t let other ppl’s potential confusion and mispronunciations stop you. Ophelia is another one good one.
ETA. Oh, I see Nam just suggested Ophelia too. We are in the same wavelength today!

Pete's current favorite: Amelia. He also likes Lilith. I like both but Amelia has become very common and I don't know, neither strikes me as "the one." There are 3 Amelia’s on my other bmb (some are older sibs). One of them calls theirs Millie, and another Mia.

FFMC I'm not a fan of nick names. One reason we liked Clark was because it didn't have a nickname. Obviously I'm not opposed to nicknames though since we use them for L

FFMC I'm not a fan of nick names. I’m kind of in the same boat (sorry) I love nicknames, just not ‘official’ ones. I’m not a huge fan of “official” ones either. Like naming your kid William, when you really like the name liam and he’ll never go by anything but Liam.. why not just name him Liam, lol. But Persephone is so unique I️ feel like it’s a little different. And I️ like that we call Ryland ry or ry-ry, but those are more like pet names I️ guess?

I'm not a fan of when people call their kid by their middle name. Just name your kid that name then!

I love Poppy, so cute. Sloane is a good name too, and it goes really well with A and X.
Our name for N up until a few weeks before she was born was Veda. I still love it, but I'm just not sure it's right for us. Then our girl name for H was Vivian. I really want to have a V name. lol

Maybe it's because my nickname was Bonia... I think that’s different. Having a shortened version of your name: William to Will, etc is fine with me. Having a “make fun of you” nickname is highly likely no matter what your name is. My name isn’t easily nicknameable so I avoided it for the most part, but my sisters call me “Karl B” or will say my first name and then “e-lizard-breath”. And I think it depends on your family too. DH’s name is one that is shortened almost all of the time. All of his friends, etc call him by the nickname, but his mom and sister call him his full name. Some of his aunts and cousins do too.
