Maybe since there are so many of us expecting we can have a discussion here?
I know there is a BN board but it's slow and I trust your opinions more anyway.

My current favorite: Persephone, NN Poppy.
Pros: not common but has easy NN, I like the meaning, Atticus loves it and pronounces it perfectly
Cons: probably too out there for most people, near constant misspelling and mispronunciation, I'm sure.

I love Persephone and Poppy. I would go for it if you all love it.

I love it. Screw other people and their mispronunciation (people still call Cadence, Candice...)

Pete's current favorite: Amelia. He also likes Lilith.
I like both but Amelia has become very common and I don't know, neither strikes me as "the one."

Somehow juniper seems to be stuck in my head for you guys. And Amelie (like the movie) could also work, maybe a little less common.

I️ don’t love Persephone, but I️ LOVE Poppy. (And don’t worry I won’t steal it, I️ suggested it early on and dh shot me down!) I️ do love the uniqueness of Persephone though, and it seems very “you”. I️ like Amelia and Lilith too, but Poppy the best!

I really like Persephone and think it goes well with your boys names. Amelia is nice also. Lilith reminds me of Frasier/Cheers so I'm not a fan.

I just wish my H would open his mind the tiniest bit! He keeps suggesting names of people we know. Like really well. Like his cousins. No. I'm not naming my child after one of your lame cousins.

cagoldi, Lilith is too much like Lily - which IMO is too "common" for you with your boys' names. I love Amelia, and thinks it would go well. Poppy is so damn adorable. What are your middle name choices? Or would you use one of the other names as your middle name? xolastunicornxo, I love your top names the best.

We are loving Arlo for a boy, but obviously The Good Dinosaur is making me hesitate. I have not scene the good dinosaur. Don't torture yourself. It's as sad as Up. One scene Dh and I actually gasped at the sadness/violence of it.

cagoldi I like Wren more than Persephone. Are you opposed to just naming her Poppy? I'm not a huge fan of Persephone.

I like Wren a lot but not with our last name. It starts with "N" so it sounds sloppy and run together.
I'm not opposed to Poppy on it's own but Pete feels like she might want Persephone as a more "grown up" option. He's not sure Poppy ages well. I might agree.

cagoldi Of the three, I love Amelia. Very pretty. Yes it is 'popular' at the moment, but I tend to think it's kind of relative...'popular' now is not the 'popular' of decades past statistically speaking, KWIM? I like Poppy...could you just name her that? Persephone is pretty, although not my style, but I feel like inevitable misspellings and mispronunciations would drive me nuts. Penelope? Would "Poppy" work as a NN for that (I know "Penny" is more typical). Lillith makes me think of Judith, which just sounds heavy and like a washer-woman or something.

MH soooo wants a girl name that we can use the nickname Rosie. I think it's cute but it does NOT work with our last name. It'd be kinda cruel to the poor girl.
