I’m totally sitting here waiting for baby to move, lol. Dh made me chocolate lava cake for snack tonight and it’s amazing! We spent the day at the children’s museum, raking up the last of the leaves and putting up Christmas lights. I am zapped. I realized as I was holding dd1 at church tonight that at almost 6 she’s probably not going to ask me to hold her much longer and I’m probably not going to bed able to anyway. I bawled.

Welp... in the hospital at 2 am with G, who has Croup. I may have over reacted a little because I know it could’ve been so much worse but... it’s hard not to when it sounds so bad.

Ohhhhh whatsit, nope, I am firmly that when your sweet babe is having trouble breathing, err on the side of PLEASE GIVE MY BABY THE STEROIDS. I really hope G is okay and that they can help or give tips. Ugh. Croup is scary! (I took my M to the ER with it when she was about 11m old.)

The steroids take a bit to work so they ended up giving him epi (through the mask). That didn’t do anything so they tried ventalin.... which did nothing as well. So they gave him the full dose of epi - which meant that we had to stay for 2 hours to see if it got bad again after the epi wore off.... now we’re waiting to see what the dr says. Luckily H was able to leave work. And since he’s on night shift, stayed awake with G while I cat napped in a reclining chair.

And last night it was my mom with her hands on my belly all night. She’s in town for the night and has been dying to feel baby move but of course he was being a stubborn, lazy bum and barely moving.

whatsit I hope everyone is ok. I hit my snooze a few times, but I'm up and drinking coffee and working on paperwork for the bookstore I run at our church. I had an order come in yesterday so I need to get invoices for today for the people that ordered. Except my printer doesn't work so I guess I get to write out sticky notes.

Dh and I went out for dinner Friday and he had this amazing vegetable hash with his chicken. I’m going to try making something similar today. Rutabaga, sweet potato, carrots and butternut squash diced super fine and served along side herb roasted chicken. I’ll probably bake biscuits or something to go with it. My big girls wanted to go help dh volunteer at church today and wanted to stay for Sunday school so dh took them and stayed. I managed to clean bathrooms, dust and tidy up a bit. I’m feeling very accomplished at the moment. And tired. Always tired.

BEST. See also why my baby is due "toward the end of March". I would have to look up what my official due date is, honestly don't know which day of that week it is for sure. PS quoting you here because I don't want to clog up your very useful thread with discussion.

Thanks ladies. We didn’t get home until almost 6, so Gs still sleeping. But he’s sweating so at least I know the fever broke.

whatsit sorry for the long night - glad you made it home...i hope he has a quick recovery and you get some snuggles out of the deal. woodenshoes hope your test went alright and you passed with flying colors! my sympathies to all you ladies who are still dealing/dealt with morning sickness. i literally spent all day on the couch yesterday. h worked all day, but my mom was able to help out with dd. i think it was just really bad indigestion (tmi - i projectile puked in the am and just had awful epigastric pain all day to the point where i couldn't eat or drink anything - anyone else ever experience this? i feel like she is just positioned really weird and is cutting off my stomach or something). anyways i feel mostly better today and we went out to breakfast with my family this morning. came home and got bathroom and kitchen cleaned. dd is napping and i'm on the couch watching holiday baking championship. mac and cheese is the plan for dinner - boxed. i'm doing the most.

polson I'm having that issue a lot this pregnancy. If I eat it even a bite too much at one meal, I usually can't eat and can barely drink the rest of the day and end up throwing up. It's hard because I'm not even eating large quantities when it happens. No really suggestion for how to avoid it though.

dizzycooks, let me know how your hash comes out and if it is good, will you share the recipe? I'm thinking about making something similar for a Thanksgiving side.
