Part of my job is assisting the sex offender specialist. I've always been careful but feel I need to be more careful. In the spoiler below is a warning but I know it can be triggering so I didn't want to just post it. ALWAYS go in with your kid into public restrooms. Even older kids and don't just wait outside the door if it's communal. We have a number of offenders that expose themselves to kids in public bathrooms. One will wait until they come in and basically come out of the stall with his pants down. I hate putting this stuff out there but this is one of those things you don't think too much about and I want all of our kids to be safe.

Idk what age it is, but once the boys are to old to go in with me and A isn't with us, I'll be seeking those out for this reason.

Even just for me! Peach, I've been wondering what we'll do as the kids get a bit older and there are no family restrooms. Like, at what age do I cut C off from the women's room? Or L in the men's room especially?

I remember a couple of years ago I sent my then 9yo nephew to the mall bathroom by himself because it was just me with the boys and I didn't think it was appropriate to bring him in the womens. Looking back I should have just brought him in the womens rooms. Its a conundrum for sure.

**trigger warning regarding public restrooms** {Spoiler}My coworker's son was attacked in a men's restroom at church. He was 14 and he's huge for his age. The bathrooms were not in the sanctuary so he had to walk to the next building. Everyone else was still in the sermon so he was by himself.
Once he was in the stall he heard someone come in and then they tried opening the door, telling him to unlock it, etc. Then he tried crawling underneath the door so the boy began kicking his face as hard as he could.
This went on for several minutes. He finally heard the guy leave and he ran out of the bathroom towards the sanctuary. Luckily his friend's father was walking towards the bathroom at the time and saw the guy leaving the bathroom right before he saw my friend's son running out.
They caught the guy that did it. It was a homeless man that had some drug arrests previously. There was a trial, my coworker's son had to testify and the guy is in jail. But talk about freaking scary and traumatizing for awhile.

Family bathrooms are pretty common now though and I hope it continues so there's one everywhere.

Just got the paperwork from appoint since C took him on Thursday. Height: 39in Weight 37.7 lbs 2 shots His skin rash has come back so they are trying a stronger cream. He said his weight is healthy and I shouldn't be concerned (unlike his last check in). He was impressed with his communication skills. He would like him out of night time pulls ups before next years checkup (me too doc, me too)

For O’s eye test they had him stare into some camera and it took a picture of his eyes. No reading off the chart. I was kinda mad though because the nurse had this red light pointing into his eyes for a really long time trying to get the camera to work.

I really don't understand eyeballs, so interesting how they work and the tests they perform.
