Since our children are starting to turn 4 I thought we could update their stats from their well checks.
Height Weight Any shots? Things the dr. noted. What are you looking forward to the most about them being 4? What are you not looking forward to?

We had ds’ done a few months ago (logistics etc) so I’ve rounded things up a bit.
Height: probably very close to 40inch Weight: 28lbs Any shots? Nope Things the dr. noted. Advanced speech. Keep an eye on vision, it was fine now, but he needed to do it twice. We need to do a weight check in a year (iso two). What are you looking forward to the most about them being 4? Him growing even more in to his own little person. He is such sweet boy and such a joy to have around you, I love spending time with him. What are you not looking forward to? Sharing him with the world, him dealing with kids not wanting to his friend etc. I was bullied as a kid. It has affected me a lot and I never want my kids to experience that.
ETA I read that he did have shots in his reports, I just forgot 🙄.

Height: 40.5inches Weight: 43# Any shots? Yes- flu, MMRV, TDap. He did super good and didn't even flinch.
Things the dr. noted. His height isn't progressing as it was before. He's 50th percentile vs 70th and he's 90th for weight. She isn't too concerned but wants to recheck in six months. She said he will for sure be taller.
What are you looking forward to the most about them being 4? Being able to do tball this summer and soccer in the fall.
What are you not looking forward to? Nothing really. I enjoy him being more independent as he gets older.

Height: 40.4 inches Weight: 35 lbs Shots: yeah 5... flu, tdap, chicken pox, polio... and something else. He was not a fan! He kept yelling at the nurse (through tears) “hey that hurted!!”
Anything the doctor notes: all looks good! She noted that he was cute and had a strong personality, lol.
Looking forward to them being 4: I️ just love seeing this little person he is growing into. And hopefully his attitude and tantrums chill out as he gets older.
Not looking forward to: I️ think it’s just always bittersweet. The baby that he was is fading everyday and that is sad to me, but I️ love who he is becoming.

I actually didn't have it scheduled, so it's a good thing this was posted so we now have an appointment! I'm waiting for my sitter to make her son's sleep study appointment. I'm taking a half day that day so I'll try to get it on the same day. Although, I can go negative in PTO since I'll barely need any next year lol.

Height: 44 inches Weight: 39 lbs Any shots? Going back in 2 weeks for them Things the dr. noted: He's tall and thin. What are you looking forward to the most about them being 4? That he can do so much independently. So helpful with the baby on the way. He recently learned to buckle himself in the car seat and zipper his own coat. What are you not looking forward to? Him not being my baby.

For some reason I thought that she's good on shots till kindergarten. I should probably call her PED and check. These stats are from her tissue incident, so close enough....
Height: 39.5in
Weight: 41.5lbs
Any shots: I know we need a flu shot..
Things the dr. noted: ears have dry flaky wax lol
What are you looking forward to the most about them being 4: improved behavior 😂😂😂 and t-ball or soccer next summer.
What are you not looking forward to: Nothing really in the next year. I hope her constant stream of consciousness doesn't stop anytime soon. I like knowing every thought in her sweet weird little brain.

Height: 41 inches - 78% Weight: 39lbs - 79% Any shots? 3, including flu. She says she is never going to the dr. again because of these shots. Things the Dr. noted: she gave us a referral to a pediatric orthopedist to make sure her tiptoe walking isn't a tendon issue and to see if she needs pt for it. What are you looking forward to: just another fun year of new experiences Not looking forward to: well, if this oppositional attitude continues, then that.

Dr didn't note anything. He answered all her questions and wouldn't let me talk.
3 shots including flu. He was a champ and didn't cry, flinch, or get sad. He almost wanted to watch.
Looking forward to: I feel like overnight he matured. I am looking forward to understanding his feelings and pains more as he comprehends how to express them.
Not looking forward to: him learning to lie and being sneaky. I hope he stays inoccent and sweet forever.

Height: 41 inches Weight: 44lbs >> today was Thanksgiving AND birthday cupcakes at school, so it's a bit inflated!!
Doctor had no concerns though he was nuts about his shot and toe prick. Cried on and off for ages!!
I'm looking forward to slightly more sane behavior as he gets older, but I hope he doesn't lose his sweetness or his love for his Mama.

Height: 39"
Weight: 36.2 Lbs
Any shots? flu shot plus 2 others that I already forgot. He cried, but was instantly side tracked by the toy closet they let them pick from
Things the dr. noted: Everything looked fine, I brought up some concerns about how OCD he is seeming and she said that was pretty normal at this age, esp if we are big on routines in our house (which we are). She asked him so many questions and I was impressed at how well he answered them. He only lied 1 time (yes, I eat all my vegetables..)
What are you looking forward to the most about them being 4?: Added independence. Hopefully growing out of the "threenager" stage and being able to reason with him better.
What are you not looking forward to?: Added independence. It's such a double edge sword. I love that he's exploring his surroundings and learning so much. I miss my sweet little baby so much.
ETA: She also noted that 4 yo are deep in the oedipal stage and not to be concerned if he is obsessed with mommy and marrying mommy and not so nice to daddy. This happens often at my house, and hopefully will help MH to not take it so personally.

We finally went today. Height: 42" 96th %ile Weight: 45lbs 91st %ile Poor kid gets her height and weight from me... Any shots? Yes, 3. Proquad, Quadracel and the flu shot. All the regular boosters Things the dr. noted: I had her look at a flesh colored mole above one of her eyes that she occasionally scratches at, so I'm waiting for a dermatologist to contact me for that, to see if we should remove it. Mentioned her side bite that the dentist brought up and wondered if that is effecting her speech. What are you looking forward to the most about them being 4? Hopefully less attitude, didn't inthekitty say the attitude should calm down some??? Please. What are you not looking forward to? I'm not really sure...

Height: 38.5 inches 24% Weight: 36lb 3oz 61% Any shots? Yes, 2. She immediately told me she never wanted to go there again. Things the dr. noted. She's curious what the GI will tell us on Thursday. What are you looking forward to the most about them being 4? Her wiping her butt. What are you not looking forward to? Me still wiping her butt because she keeps telling me she's still 3.

She had 2 shots- combos of dTap, MMR, chicken pox and polio. It was bad. She gets so much anxiety and was crying and pulling away at just the alcohol swab. Even worse, she was overdue for some lab work and that was a complete and utter shit show. She was going so crazy and flailing so much after they got the needle in, that the lab tech decided to stop. They were able to fill enough for one vial but she will have to go back for one more. MH is going to take her.

Height: 40.5 inches Weight: 32.5 lbs Shots: MMR-V. She goes back for the DTaP in the spring. Things the doctor noted: They bonded over the fact that they both like anchovies on their pizza. She told me how common it is for kids not to be night trained even as kindergartners (which shocked me) she said there are some new studies that link constipation to difficulty night training, but there was nothing conclusive and clearly varies based on individual situations. Looking forward to: I like watching how she processes the world and her place in it. I hope she'll keep asking questions Not looking forward to: The possibility of kindergarten (either this coming September or the following one) ETA: they asked her to per in a cup which she found hysterical

O
Height: 41.25 inches Weight: 40.5 lbs Shots: flu and tetanus booster.
He needs two more shots before Kindergarten.
O cried big time about the shots. He said he never wants another shot again. He also said he never wants to go back to the doctor again.
They tested his vision and hearing. He passed both. Then the doctor asked him a lot of questions and had him do a few physical tasks. He also checked various body parts and he told O how nobody should ever pull O’s pants down like that except mommy and daddy. And only a doctor if mommy and daddy are there. I never even thought of telling O those things. I guess i need to.

Just got home from Ns well visit.
Height- 41.5”- 84% Weight- 40 lbs - 85%
2 shots and very traumatic. Did we just preform an exorcism?? Good grief. She never wants shots ever again. When we finally left, she saw the nurse in the hallway and said “there SHE is”
Looking forward to: continuing to watch her grow and learn. I’m continuously amazed at what she know and how fast she picks things up.
Not looking forward to- her outsmarting me. Lol

We finally had our appointment today since N was sick for our original appointment....
Height - 42.25” Weight - 34.4lbs Any shots? He got two, one in each arm. He was okay for the first one but then he seen the blood (she hit a capillary) and he cried from there. By the time we got to the car he was fine. Things the doctor noted: he was straight to the point. No hi, how are you or hello, as soon as he saw her “do I get a needle today?” She noted his vocabulary and asked how he is doing in kindergarten. Looking forward to: being able to do more things with him and make memories. And watching him grow and take in the world around him. Not looking forward to: the world taking away his innocence. He loves so deeply and wants everyone to be the same and I wish it could stay that way.

Height: 42.9 inches 95% Weight: 44.5 lbs 95%
Shots: 2 and he wasnt happy about it. Doc said he doesn't need anymore until 10 besides the flu shot though!
It wasn't our regular well visit doc, but she was glad he's slimming down and to keep with skim milk for him. He didn't pass his eye exam completely but will keep an eye on that and reassess later. I'm sad about that, MH said he was just saying the alphabet for the line he couldn't see.
Looking forward to: be more independent and grow out of some of his 3 year old ways of handling life.
Not looking forward to: his eventual out growing of things. I didn't even notice when he stopped sleeping with his "nest" of swaddle blankets, now it's just his puppy. Also exposure to more big kid things and hard conversations about bad guys and such. He's my innocent guy that will say he can fix any problem with his truck.
