I watched the first episode last night. I'm not a fan of the journalist so far.

Bumping because did you see James Renner has changed his working theory and lobbed some serious accusations at Maura's boyfriend? mauramurray.blogspot.com.au/

Bumping because did you see James Renner has changed his working theory and lobbed some serious accusations at Maura's boyfriend? mauramurray.blogspot.com.au/Want to know a great way not to ever get laid, Bill? Telling women that the people you've slept with before have died. I don't know if I buy the this new theory but I really don't think Bill is a great guy. He sounds like an asshole to the nth degree and I'm sure he did sexually assault all those women who have accused him. I think he is probably also an asshole and using Maura's disappearance for power and control through fear. I'm just not convinced he killed Maura because he didn't use his phone for 4 days.

I'm still deciding how I feel about James Renner.

But why did he call her phone for four minutes after she disappeared?

But why did he call her phone for four minutes after she disappeared? I'm guessing long voicemail.

Voicemail. She answered. Someone else answered.
If he did leave a voicemail, though, wouldn't that be recoverable remotely? Dial number and punch in code?

He was on base very far away and that's been verified though. James Renner is weird and the show made him look dumb. He has to change theories because his was so thoroughly debunked.

I’m going through the podcast pretty quickly as I’ve been driving a lot, so it’s been easier than watching the show. At this point I don’t think it was a serial killer or abduction. I think I’m team she wandered off drunk.

I've decided what happened. I think the scenario where she gets in a car is most likely since the dogs tracked her to the middle of the road and there are no footprints in the snow. However, she had internal injuries from the crash and died later somewhere else and is a Jane Doe somewhere. It is so sad but better than happening upon a serial killer.

I do think she could have been involved in the hit and run before she disappeared.

And I think her drinking likely made it so she and whoever picked her up, didn’t realize the seriousness of her injuries.

There is some question of another hit and run that she may have been a part of. Her car was also disabled, so if she wasn't wearing a seat belt, it may be possible that she was injured more than it appeared.
