I'm so tired of having contractions without labor. It's to the point where kids are asking if I'm ok at school and my one guest speaker who's an emt told me to cut it out because he doesn't want to deliver me. I've been having them all day. They hurt tonight, but as usual I'm only having like 2-4 an hour. Bodyyyyyyyy, why do you hate me so? I feel your pain. I had 6 weeks of prodromal labour last year. The contractions and BH are pretty frequent and are forcing her bum to stick out with each one. 3 year old DS can tell when I'm have a "cotaction" because my belly is literally at a point. I had six weeks of this last time and I'm heading into my seventh with this one. I get the shoves out butt too and it leaves the spot on my belly where it happens so sore.

I don't even have a regular doctor this time around. It's been a change since my last pregnancy because I only saw my OB ay every visit. She didn't even have a PA so she guaranteed you would see her for every appt and delivery. We live in a different state now so I didn't even have the option to see her again. The hospital I go to now has us rotate between midwives and doctors each appointment so we meet them all. I can see positive and negative for each way. My office rotates doctors too. Last time I went early enough that i.missed meeting two of them. Thankfully the one who delivered me I had met, and loved. I've met them all now at least.

I'm only 36 weeks tomorrow, so I have a very long month ahead.

Who is due around Thanksgiving? I don't know if my doctor will be around for the holidays. He usually delivers the babies. Me! The 24th I'm not sure who will be there when I deliver. I love my OB so hopefully her. She was there for ds3. But honestly, the nurses are with me way more than the doc.

I only see two doctors at my clinic because I like them best but it could be one of about 15 delivering. I don’t care much who that is because they are pretty much just in and out, the nurses do the majority of the work.

Wanted to pop in for a quick hi. I haven’t been around here at all really but wanted to check in. Seeing the birth stories and thread is so exciting. I will try to be more present. My due date is 11/26 but at my scan at 32 weeks to check fluid resulted in us finding out that baby boy was measuring 4-5 weeks ahead. We have a repeat growth scan on Monday at 36 weeks to find out more. My ob mentioned c section if he’s still measuring huge. We will see!!

I'm on a snack rampage. Nothing is satisfying me and I'm kind of getting nauseous from the sugar.

The heartburn is started this morning today, so that was a lovely development. Pretty sure if I had diarrhea, I would die.
My parents leave for Mexico in the morning, so this baby needs to stay put until they are back in 11/4.

I don’t care much who that is because they are pretty much just in and out, the nurses do the majority of the work. +1 to this, especially if delivering vaginally. With DS, I remember the nurse who helped me through labor, but have no clue who "delivered" him. They came running in after I pushed out his head and I had no interest in their names. That hospital had a "laborist" system - the dr could be from my practice or someone whose job was to be at the hospital and deliver babies. With the twins, I went to a different practice and a different hospital. Being a planned c section, I was really hoping not to have a certain doctor from my practice (I had to see everyone at least once, and he was my least favorite). I scheduled with one of my favorites who was available on my date. When my water broke, I was really nervous until I got the call and my favorite doctor- who also delivered one of my friends - was the on call doctor at the hospital that night. I felt so good having her operate and DH was impressed by how much she knew about me (not just about the twins). However, one of my favorite people in the OR was the nurse anesthetist- he was really informative and soothing.

I picked up DS to snuggle him once he was all swaddled up after a change. He was deeply asleep. As soon as his face got near my chest, he madly started licking my boob.
That's not how those work, buddy.
Can't blame him, though. He hasn't nursed in two days. Makes sense he would forget how. XD

Fingers crossed my daughter's fever stays away overnight. Finally got her to take some Advil at 5pm so couldn't quite give her another dose before bed. It came out if nowhere. She hasn't been acting sick or anything so not sure. I noticed she was a bit warm this morning and her eyes had been watering but didn't think much of it. Hopefully it passes quickly whatever it is.

We may be nowhere each other lol but last weekend we went through both kids having similar symptoms. Fever, watering eyes but no other symptoms. The fever was on and off for two days, then disappeared and now they both just have a cough. It was a cold that's going around our area. Not sure if thats whats going on with her. Hope she feels better!!!!
