I am an emotional crazy pregnant lady today. I rarely cry, and today I teared up listening to Kesha’s Praying. All of the news stories about sexual harassment have been kind of getting to me and making me angry about stuff I thought I was over. But crying at Kesha? Pull it together Bazi. I'm pretty sure that song is about her legal battle with her manager who sexually harassed her. My details on the case are fuzzy, but I'm thinking that's why it's being played a lot lately.

Ok, so it looks like I lied about the record low thing, but it's still going to be pretty chilly and I think the universe should just let me have this one. It was cold here this morning. 23 F when I walked my son to the bus. Brrrr. Winter is coming.

Yeah it is, I read an article about that song and her latest court battles. Thus all my feels.

This song makes me cry too. I read "this is your brain on music" a long time ago and remember something about certain chords/melodies and how they trigger the emotion centers in your brain. It's so cool. It's also why some people will get goosebumps from certain songs.

My feet are officially swollen sausages. I'm hoping they're only so bad the past two days because I've been stuck at my desk training the temp who annoyed me today. Only 2 weeks left of work fortunately.

Omgggg all the pain and pressure in my vag 🤤 why lol I sit here as well. It's awful. I told myself I wasn't going to ask for a sweep until I was overdue at 41 weeks. I had 3 with both pregnancies and they did nothing except cause me pain. However, I think I may change my mind by Friday. I'll be 39 weeks. I did not have this much pressure and pain with my other 2 kids. Not like this.

+1 to the pressure. But she needs to hang out for at least another week.

I had to tell MiL that I do not appreciate her lack of seasoning, especially on a turkey. She tried to tell me I was just as picky as BIL’s fiancé, who is a vegetarian.
Nope. Sorry. We appreciate flavorful food. We do not appreciate your take on certain baked goods and whimsical ingredient substitutions. But most of all, we have seen you cook and lick utensils or your fingers and then reuse those same things. It is gross. Your boys may not care, but we don’t want to swap spit with you.
Which is why I took over all of Thanksgiving food 6 or 7 years ago. So we will see if she can redeem herself with a flavorful and (pushing my luck) even warm turkey this year. And for the love, NO stuffing in the bird. 🤢

+1 to the pressure. But she needs to hang out for at least another week. Ideally me too. Only because my husband will freak if S/he comes any earlier. Lol And my MIL is working this weekend (at the hospital) and a)I kinda don't want her to be working and b) I need her to watch my kids. Lol

cdnfarmgirl my sweep is scheduled for the day before my induction. I don’t want to get carried away, but if I can encourage things along and ensure that induction date, that would be wonderful. I’ve chickened out any other time I’ve thought about a sweep.

clucky, hork. Both the utensil licking and stuffing in the turkey. No thank you. I just can’t. It is even worse to watch her lick her fingers and then go right back to whatever with the food. Future SIL insists on bringing something, so that helps, because I was always turned down or made to feel like a bully for bringing something.

I need to catch up. I had my follow up about the growth scan and I have mild oligohydramnios. I have to do NST's twice a week and if I don't have this baby on my own by the 1st we will induce. Unless of course the NST's show otherwise.

Also, I don't think I ever spell the word right, haha. I might work from home tomorrow if it doesn't cool it, although I don't know if it's any more comfortable here really. But less awkward.

My due date is the 3rd so it's not much sooner but for some reason it feels so much closer!

Foldover yoga pants are the best ever. Those are what I packed in my hospital bag.

My contractions are getting closer together and making me nervous. I really just want to make it to my appointment tomorrow morning. Oh hi again, twin. I’ve been up for the past hour timing mine. They are 8 mins apart and lasting 4 mins. I also have an appt later this AM. I’m only 36w5d though so I hope they fizzle out and don’t really mean anything.
