Really random, but thinking of making beef stew in the crockpot tomorrow (haven't gotten the instant pot ready yet). Anyone have a favorite recipe? Must have carrots, as DS is obsessed with cooked carrots.

cnf one of my cats puked right in front of our door. So if anyone were to open it, it would drag through the vomit. Ugh. So gross. I love my animals, but they are disgusting sometimes.

Does anyone want to tell me how awesome (or sucky) their high chair is? We are considering the Ingenuity 3-in-1 smart clean or the Oribel cocoon. I know we won’t need one for a while, but gift cards and a completion discount are burning a hole in our pocket. We have THIS chair that clasps on to the table. If your table allows for it, they are awesome. My 2 year old (34in and ~30lbs) still uses it for every meal. We have a booster for him but he prefers this one still. It is nice to have him right at the table with us and I know he prefers that to being off to the side in a high chair. It is nice to be able to take it with us when we travel and stuff too. The big selling point for us though was the space savings. We don't have a large house so trying to find space for a traditional high chair was nearly impossible. This stays clipped on to our dining room table, at the head of the table, and takes up basically no space. We will definitely use it for #2 and switch #1 to his booster when the time comes. ETA: it gets pretty dirty but can be washed in the washer and comes clean easily.

Morning everyone. For a high chair we were given one of those 3 in 1 booster seat kind of things. We have space for 4 chairs around our table, but not a lot of extra room for a high chair, so I think it'll work well. I had a crappy sleep last night. I somehow sprouted a hemorrhoid even though I've been having good luck in the bathroom, and it was super painful all night long It's still uncomfortable today, but hopefully improving. Baby must just be really pushing down for it to happen because my prunes have been so successful! TMI, sorry, but I think everything that's happening is basically across that line now.

I was looking through my old post partum supplies while packing my hospital bag last week, and came across a couple of chux that must have been from the hospital last time. So I packed them in my hospital bag in case my water breaks. LOL.
This time around is so different. I've been having real contractions, not timeable, but getting more intense overall. I had one that woke me up last night. I had absolutely no contractions before my water broke with DD so this is completely new territory for me. I have no idea what I'm doing. I am just trying to keep an eye on them and if things get close together or too painful, then I guess I will call?

Also keep in mind that water breaking only happens to about 10% of women, so it actually is not super likely to happen to one of us! I think my chances of it happening this time are a lot lower because I don't have the extra fluid.

My sinus headache is back. OB said I could take Tylenol Sinus so I'm leaving work shortly to go get that and take a nap. However, I have a feeling that when I get to CVS, there will definitely be more than one type of Tylenol Sinus and I hate that - I always get so overwhelmed trying to figure out which one my doc actually meant. I'm also swelling up which doesn't make me happy.

I think my chances of it happening this time are a lot lower because I don't have the extra fluid. I was just telling my husband yesterday that I should probably start looking out for other signs. Because my water broke with DS1 before anything else happened, I just kind of rolled along assuming that would be the start of things again. Then it occurred to me that my body might actually do things in the correct order this time and go into labor on its own before my water rupturing. I have definitely started paying closer attention to my contractions. Basically, I have no idea what I am doing.

I saw this and love it!!! I've considered doing it but I have a lot of fabric left over from making DS a crab costume so I'll probably just turn my belly into a crab too....

Maybe a uo but I'm not planning on doing anything to prep if my water breaks. It didn't happen with dd. By the way tomorrow is the gestational age of 37 weeks that I had her but I was induced. So, I don't really have anything to go on with if I make it my rcs at 39 weeks or not but I'm guessing I will. I haven't done much, to be honest. The waterproof pad for our bed hard been wedged under our hall gate for a week and I don't own pads. As someone who had what seemed like never ending gallons of fluids pouring out last time, you'd think I had something in place.

Doesn't stop me from frantically checking myself for a leak once an hour though.

Totally different pregnancies, very similar labor & deliveries. So #anecdote but it could go down in a similar way

I used my Amazon completion discount today to buy the second camera for our monitor, a bunch of random stuff we need, plus some nursing tanks and bras. Now I'm all antsy for it to get here so I can start putting it away. Definitely have kicked in to nesting mode.

I went to carters at lunch and bought some fall/winter clothes for dd. I had accidentally neglected her while shopping for new baby and the cooler days are starting to arrive. Whoops pregnancy brain!

Question: I have some friends that want to make food for us after my mom leaves. DH and I are both picky pandas in our own ways and don't really like people cooking for us. I've already said that I appreciate the offer, but we will be fine, however, they seem insistent.
What do I do now? Would asking for them to just pitch in for a restaurant gift card be weird/rude?

I've been on my own all day. I literally have laid in bed all day minus when I had meet my son off the bus and bring him to the in-laws.
I have to go get them in 45 minutes. I should really get up and quickly run to the store. But I'm so comfy.

You could always claim that fridge/freezer space is tight. Or give them a few dinner ideas that you know the kids will eat. If they are good friends I don’t think saying “honestly if you could just bring us a pizza from <insert local place> we would love that” is rude.

I went and bought new yoga pants today. I know I have like 2 weeks left but my jeans are too tight and I have one pair of black LLR leggings that are looking worse for wear. I can't go out in them. The ones I bought aren't maternity and have a fold over waistband so hopefully they will still fit post partum.

I wore my maternity ones with the fold over post partum last time, honestly they don’t even look like mat pants.

I am an emotional crazy pregnant lady today. I rarely cry, and today I teared up listening to Kesha’s Praying. All of the news stories about sexual harassment have been kind of getting to me and making me angry about stuff I thought I was over. But crying at Kesha? Pull it together Bazi.

There is a frost advisory tonight and tomorrow might be a record low. DD and DS were also born during cold fronts. It's all coming together.

Ok, so it looks like I lied about the record low thing, but it's still going to be pretty chilly and I think the universe should just let me have this one.
