Because I think 5:30 AM may not count as MITN, even if it feels that way!

I'm still awake from my dog puking at 3am this morning. And today was the day I finally planned to set my alarm back and start sleeping later. Figures.
I'm the exact same weeks and days pregnant today as I was when my water broke last time. I'm having a lot of feels about DD's birth and this baby still being snug inside of me.

Also, some random reflections from my labor/delivery:
Don't be me - have maxi pads in case your water breaks. Mini pads did not cut it for the initial breaking (although I lucked out and made it to the bathroom)
Trust your gut re: water breaking / contractions. As we waited for the return call re: going to hospital, I told DH we were going no matter what because this was too much pain to be nothing.
Double check what YH packs - DH did not pack enough. Thankfully, we weren't far from our house.

Thankfully, we weren't far from our house. I soaked through an entire package of adult pee pads when my water broke. They were given to my by a friend who had her waters break unexpectedly with her first two pregnancies. And thank goodness for them. I was literally putting one on, walk three steps to the bathroom door, then need to change it. I definitely agree that you need to invest in some good, absorbent pads of some sort.

I need to go buy some maxi pads...for either water breaking or post partum.
I am going back and forth between “omg just show up kid I’m ready” and “AHHHH I am totally unprepared”....it’s a minute to minute pendulum swing.

Just had last ultrasound appointment. Baby is weighing about 4 pounds 15 ounces (I'm 35 weeks 2 days) so I guess I still make little babies lol. DD1 was 7 pounds, DD2 was 6.9 pounds both at term. I go back for my doctors appointment at 930. Baby's head is wayyy down in my pelvis (had a feeling cuz I've had lots of pressure in my vag 😂). She had to ask me to move my pants down further to get measurements on the head

+1 for the water breaking prep. I've reached the point where I carry around two depends in my purse with me at all times, just in case.

bethers what did your husband not pack enough of? All I've packed for my DH in the past is a few changes of clothes, then remind him to grab his charger. We are like 10 minutes from the hospital so I'm not too worried. Depending on time of day baby is born (and how things are going), he might not even stay the night.

So tired. DS3 took way too long of a nap and was up late, so he was in our bed...attached to me all night. I was sweating so bad I couldn’t sleep, even though the house was 60* or less. Now he is whiny, because I had to still wake him up. I’m going to need a big cup of patience today with Cars on repeat, and a nap when H gets home.

I slept last night- I didn’t wake up until H’s alarm went off at 6ish... I think I was a asleep before midnight, so 6+ hours straight! asdfghjkl!!! I’m feeling in better spirits this morning too- I definitely think most of my depression has to do with lack of sleep.

After dropping off DD at school this morning, I had a bit of a moment thinking about how it was my last time taking her alone (my mom will be with me tomorrow so she knows the drill while we are at the hospital) before the baby is here. And also how wonderful she is and that I can only hope this kid is half as great.

Taking DD2 for a flu shot today. She’s been pretending to give us shots and H has been pretending to give her shots, we’ll see how this goes. It’s supposed to be hot again today and I had planned to walk to the harbor, which is literally across the street, but I think I may drive instead. I have a long history of fainting and I do not need to do that while crossing six lanes the street with my toddler. 😂 so we will walk around the harbor and maybe to the park that’s over there.

Maybe a uo but I'm not planning on doing anything to prep if my water breaks. It didn't happen with dd. By the way tomorrow is the gestational age of 37 weeks that I had her but I was induced. So, I don't really have anything to go on with if I make it my rcs at 39 weeks or not but I'm guessing I will.

catmom88- I’m not doing anything to prepare either. I had DD1 at 41+4 and they broke my water, DS was 36 weeks (which is what I am today) they broke my water, DD2 was a CS because she was breech at 39+3. I know there’s a chance my water will break, but I feel like I’ll likely make it to my RSC at 39. I also think of my water broke on it’s own, I might panic and not know what to do with pads anyway. lol

Socks, boxers, second shirt, deodorant, and a hoodie - he basically threw in pj bottoms, a t shirt, 1 pair socks, 1pair of boxers. We were going to be at the hospital a minimum 3 nights (and ended up being 4) because we knew I was having a c section.

Good morning! We have J's first doctor appointment later today. We also have a ton of things to pick up at the store that we realized we forgot (like lanolin) so we will do that after. DH is being amazing and I'm really glad he's home this week.
DD is having a blast with my parents. We're going down on Thursday to visit with them and my sisters, then bringing DD home with us. It's a long time for her to wait to meet her brother but I cannot imagine trying to entertain her right now.

I am having feelings today. The pictures from my shower with DS1 showed up on my FB "on this day" thing. He came 4 days later. Which means he is going to be 2 in 4 days. I am so thankful that this baby has decided to wait so I can spend a little more time with #1 as an only. I am now hoping he waits until after his brother's birthday so he can have one more birthday for himself.
I am also being kind of a bitch to H and feel a little bad about it. I wanted to spend all weekend just the 3 of us to celebrate DS1 but he was insistent that his parents come spend time for DS's bday. Now we are having all of the grandparents out for lunch and then to our house for cake and ice cream on Saturday. This isn't what I wanted and I am being a baby about it. I know DS will love it and it is good for everyone but I want to be a toddler hog. I don't want to share him!

The twins had been taking an epic nap in their pack n plays, but I missed them. So now I'm on the sofa with both girls swaddled on my chest. Luckily they made the transfer without waking up!

I’m feeling so much pressure today. I was so crampy last night that I had myself half psyched out that this was it. Silly snuff, you had 6 weeks of contractions last time, settle yourself. Still feeling tons of pressure so I’m snuggling in bed with DS while DD has a nap. I have a MW appt this afternoon

Does anyone want to tell me how awesome (or sucky) their high chair is? We are considering the Ingenuity 3-in-1 smart clean or the Oribel cocoon. I know we won’t need one for a while, but gift cards and a completion discount are burning a hole in our pocket.

DS2 and I slept downstairs last night. My couch is actually really comfy and he seemed to sleep better in the rock n play. DH pissed me off last night because he was like "well you can easily calm him (ds2) down" ... I responded that it was the easy way for HIM (dh) and that I was legit falling asleep in the rocker while holding ds2 aka really not safe. DH came down this morning and was like when did you go downstairs?! He apparently got a decent night of sleep so he better be less of a jerk tonight. Neither of us are great on little to no sleep.
I did tummy time with DS2 yesterday and he did well! Didn't immediately freak out like ds1. He also peed in his face during a diaper change so dh gave him a sponge bath. He loved the water flowing over his hair.

We started using it around 5 months old and ds1 still uses the booster/elevated seat part. DS1 stopped using it briefly but it's definitely worth it and he's back in it at 2.5. My mom got a seat that clipped on to her table/counter and that worked for her though. My only complaint about the graco one is that it takes up a lot of room.
