Man cruise ships just seem like the ultimate place for things to never be solved. Several countries, international waters, open ocean. Lol makes me want to not cruise.

Buzzfeed Unsolved did a good video of the Sodder Children mystery. The case definitely seems fishy to me (as in, it doesn't look like this was an accident). Definitely going to read about the others this weekend!

I'm from WV originally and I remember hearing about the Sodder children a lot. I've also heard of the airplane one with the UFO theories. I'll have to read into the other ones!

I'm curious about the first story of the Boston-area lady who left blood and towels in her kitchen. And the fact that people reported seeing a bloody woman walking down the highway. Like, WTF!

Are we going to discuss Maura Murray? Does anyone watch the show?

The Disney cruise ship one happened while a girl from my son's BMB was on the ship for her wedding. They knew something huge had happened, since the captain was supposed to marry them, but sent someone else, but they didn't learn exactly what for several more days.

Are we going to discuss Maura Murray? Does anyone watch the show? We just started watching it. It's so weird. I've been doing some research too. The prevailing theory is that she was drinking and driving and walked off to avoid getting in trouble, got lost in the woods, and died. James Renner is a strange bird as well.

I watched one of the Buzzfeed Unsolved episodes that Mia posted before. Are they all on YouTube? Is there a new one weekly?
eta: I like them because there’s light heartedness to it and I get creeped easily.

Yes, they are all on YouTube - they should all be on a Buzzfeed playlist so one will conveniently start right after another (which is how I wound up bingewatching all of them while H was out of town...)

One of the first things that comes up when I searched her name was this reddit post. www.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedMysteries/comments/5yitmk/the_very_strange_disappearance_of_joan_risch/
WTF happened to her?? Where did she go?
At the end it says that her husband never remarried & refused to ever change his phone number in case she was out there & called.

And she checked a book out from the library about a woman who disappeared the same way? Like... what is happening??

I spiraled more on Joan Risch. TW - there are many theories that she had an abortion that killed her.

I'd forgotten about the Malaysia flight that went missing. I can't believe they never found the plane or bodies.

It seems staged, so maybe she did just get tired of her current life and disappear.

The OP was a list of cases that had never been solved. And Maura was mentioned here. Seems like as good of a place as any to talk that case too.

Definitely going to read about the others this weekend! I’ve listened to two different podcasts on that one and I just don’t get it. Especially the beef liver. W. T. F.

Should we pick one to discuss to death first and then move on to a different one after?
