Had R's 18 month appt today. Four shots to get him up to speed on the US schedule. We talked about his language, or lack thereof, especially because he seems to have stopped saying the handful of words he had. Pedi said sometimes that happens before a big linguistic jump, but in any case if he doesn't make progress in the next two to three months we should have him evaluated :/ Basically, nothing I can really do at this point is positively or negatively affecting it -- she says it will develop on its own timeline. I'm not sure if that makes me feel better or worse. The important thing is that you and your pedi have a game plan. I know this is next to impossible, but try not to spiral on the what ifs. *hugs* my friend. This is the shitty part of parenting.

butlerfan , from my (limited) understanding of potty training, day training and night training are two separate beasts, so I think you're ok to train her during the day, but do diapers at night. My almost two year old will pee in the potty sporadically during the day, but we 100% are doing overnight diapers still. He's also still in the crib, and since he's actually sleeping right now, there's no way I'm messing with that until absolutely necessary. This. My 3.5 yo has been day trained for about a year but still isn't night trained. He still always has wet diapers overnight (though they are getting less and less wet... so hopefully we are getting closer to working on night training). I would probably just focus on day training first, so you don't need to worry about the crib side yet. ( butlerfan) On a related note, our 22 month toddler is apparently a pro climber and can climb out of his crib even with the crib mattress all the way on the floor (but still inside the crib so it's like a cage). He only climbs out once in a while, but we probably should be switching him to his new toddler bed very soon. I'm dreading that.

It was month end on Friday which means I have the credit card to tie out and invoices to go up on Thursday of this week...however, since we were closed yesterday it is an even shorter time frame to get it all done in. And I have to wait until corporate sends the credit card statement to me so FX I get it soon. We have month end happening week of july 4th. It sucks because everyone gets an extra day except me. I may complain this year, dnw to work on a Saturday.

So I have a monthly plan for a massage....which I haven't had a chance to use since January so I have a few stored up. I finally feel like I can try to get one in next Thursday evening. My back is so tight.

I am absolutely livid. We went to the little playground in our development (not sure if this is the responsibility of the HOA or the developer but it's definitely privately owned by our community and not a public park) and it's in abysmal shape, there are fallen branches, mulch all over the paved path, a ton of weeds and poison ivy everywhere, the ground (mulch) is super uneven... and worst of all there are wasps living all over the play gym. I got stung like 5 or 6 times, fortunately LO did not get stung and I got her out of their quick but WTF, take care of our stuff!!! The neighborhood is still under construction/for sale so from that perspective it looks terrible but it's also not safe to use!

jewel that is ridiculous! Hopefully with the weather getting nicer they will get someone out there to take care of it. I know if I was moving with kids, I would be checking out the amenities offered.

My husband was off today so we took a nice family day out. We got food, went to the zoo, and then stopped for ice cream on the way home. Both girls had a lot of fun and now om just hoping it's an easy bedtime for everyone

After the units are sold, the developer usually has to over all rights to the HOA.

I think it's the HOA, but our development is only half sold, and H reminded me, even if it's the HOA the builder still owns the HOA until all the units are sold...

I had a lawsuit where that was my argument and the opposing attorney kept insisting that wasn't the case. (They were arguing the HOA gained control the minute the first unit was sold)

Gotta love when insurance covers one kid and not the other. Not. #twinproblems
We just got a big bill for their 12 month shots. Hashtag was covered, Hashbrown was not. I've been dealing with fighting insurance since I was pregnant and was charged for an "extra fetus" at every scan and ultrasound. Then in the hospital, Hashbrown had to stay longer for jaundice so they kept Hashtag since he was a twin and they were monitoring his levels too. He didn't get covered so we got a big bill for three out of the six days.
I foresee a lot of angry phone calls in the next 18 years.

I don't have twins so I can't commiserate with all of that, but every year at review, insurance screws up DS2's insurance. Inevitably he has a dr. appointment and they tell us his insurance lapsed and I have to get it all straightened out. They even messed it up when he was first born. Pisses me off. I'd lose it if I were you.

My children have hidden one of our chargers and it's a total mystery as to where. You'd think since it was bright orange it would be easy to find, but we have searched the entire house to no avail. This is my house always. Have you asked where they put it? My little guy usually remembers. Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you posted this. I asked DS(2.5) and he told me his sister's closet. Lo and behold... We now have the charger again 😁

I bought some new sheets that make my bed feel that much more comfortable. We have been using some okay sheets that we got as a wedding present (that weren't actually on our registry) for the past 8 years. I finally bought some sheets that I actually wanted, and it's like a whole new bed. Soooooo comfortable. Sooooo much harder to make myself get up in the morning... We got a new mattress in April and now have the exact same problem in the mornings.

So we spent the evening at urgent care after DS1 went face first into a concrete step. He ended up with two stitches. It was a blast <sarcasm font> Aside from that, we have a lovely weekend filled with milestones for DS1: took away paci, pooped on the potty three times, went out without pull up and didn't have accidents, and got his first set of stitches. Hooray! Sorry about the stitches and the urgent care visit, but sounds like the rest of the weekend went incredibly well!

Knock on wood, but my students weren't too bad today considering we had a three day weekend and there are only a few weeks left in the school year.
I'm sure they'll make up for it tomorrow.

It was a regular old spring mattress that was H's from childhood. I love our new pillow top. Ours is a firm memory foam. I have fibromyalgia, and had done some research to find one that would be more supportive and leave me less sore in the morning. When V lets me sleep, I have much more restful nights and I feel a lot better in the mornings. It's amazing what a difference it makes!

A dear friend of mine has that and it seems so difficult. I'm glad you have found something that seems to help. Isn't the memory foam hot though? Anytime I've slept on foam I get overheated.

Mostly so I can stop worrying. He seems pretty content most of the time.

I'm raging for you. This is ridiculous.

If I'm honest with myself I wouldn't even volunteer if someone else was organizing... We pay HOA fees and there are not a lot of amenities is out neighborhood, actually it's just this park and like general lawn maintenance of part of the street that isn't owned by anyone, so where is the money going if they aren't doing this.
