They asked have you ever drank 4 or more drinks in one day this year. I replied once at a party a few weeks before I got pregnant. She didn't let me respond after that.

The nurse took me back for my vitals. Apparently if you drink more then 4 drinks a day one day a year your an alcoholic. I want to be honest with them but if they are going to keep printing out this stuff I'm going to stop being honest. Have they never hosted a holiday dinner for extended family? Because drinking 4 drinks is pretty tame. ETA: Just in case it's not clear, I was being TIC. And to be honest, I'd probably fall down around drink #3 these days. Obviously, they've never spent time at my parents' house...

I haven't even seen the doctor yet. This medical office is always running late.

I miss drinking. I can finally drink again but I don't have any wine at the house.

My father's doctors at the hospital say they take whatever # the patient gives them a double it. It was pretty accurate considering how many my father told them he'd drink in a day. That's ridiculous because when you get honest patients it screws then over. The question is, did you really have 8 drinks in 1 night or 2 nights a year with 4 drinks? You lush! I'd be interested in the lecture tgrimes or mwhip got from that nurse

He has told me things the hospital would not like him to say. So when I see him I will bring up this incident and get his thoughts.

I really wanted to go home sick at lunch time but i found out htat the 2 other people that were going to cover for me at a meeting are too busy to attend. I also have to leave the meeting early. I'm trying to think of something fun that i can do with E tonight to take our minds off things and get back into a routine. We took a nice bike ride/walk yesterday. I think we will do a trunk or treat tomorrow and the zoo on saturday

So I wonder if they believe me when I say I don't drink at all. I would think they would. Most people who drink and lie about it, lie about the amount not if they do or not.

Almost an hour after my appointment and the doctor spends 5 minutes with me. She's giving me an antibiotic for a sinus infection but can't do anything else for me. She told me to take Benadryl to help me sleep. I don't know how much I trust her

I couldn't watch the staple removal. She took the bandage off and cleaned it, so I looked and it turned my stomach. There were 37 staples to remove, I watched the last 10.
No way could I see something inside my body when I can't watch staples being removed.
When I was in the 6th grade, I stayed home from school sick with a stomach bug. I wanted some Sprite and we only had a 2 liter, which I couldn't open on my own, so I took a paring knife and tried to cut in between the lid and the seal ring. The knife slipped (because it was a fucking stupid idea) and I stabbed myself between my thumb and index finger on the opposite hand. My mom took me to the ER for a few stitches (literally 2 stitches). The nurse took out a big syringe to clean it up and my mom ended up passing out on the side of my bed, and being put in the gurney next to me, because she couldn't handle the blood and needle. Clearly I'm turning into my mother.

wow chrisy01, sounds like they met their billing requirement for the day. Can you take the sinus medication or is that the one not safe for pregnancy? I would leave that on a review for the offices/dr

The antibiotic is for the sinus infection but the cough medicine she wanted to give me isn't safe while pregnant. She wanted to give me something with codeine. I asked her if that was safe while pregnant and she then looked it up on her phone. Not a fan.

chrisy01 that dr sounds like an idiot. I wouldn't go back. Seems like she should know what meds can be taken during pregnancy, unless it is uncommon.
