There are so many things that Charlie does that make me feel like a brand new parent:
- he immediately takes his diaper off if he doesn't have pants on. -if he gets into the bathroom, he flushes the toilet multiple times and pulls the toilet paper off the roll -he climbs up onto the couch and sprints from one question to another (usually resulting in a fall on his part, or sometimes on mine while I try to catch him) - he immediately opens any cabinet or toybox he has access to and empties it of everything.
I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that Josie did none of these things. I think the first time she flushed the toilet was when we started potty training in January. Had it so easy, and I only sort of knew.

Morning! We’re on the road heading up north for the weekend. H fell asleep and n is watching Moana so hopefully we have a quiet ride for a bit. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend! Be careful and let us know when you arrive. This is why I love this board.

I barely childproofed for S b/c he listened so well and didn't really get into much. every 2 minutes I am pulling B away from the TV, pulling him off of something he climbed up on, pulling him away from trying to turn on the stove. He is much more adventurous than S was at that age. And more mischievous.

Question... the past few days S has been asking me what girls pee from. I explained it and he immediately asked if he could see one. I told him I would find a book or something.
Anyone know of any age appropriate books to explain male vs female anatomy?
What's funny is at school they don't let boys and girls in the bathroom at the same time (there's a shared bathroom between 2 classrooms with 2 toilets) but the door is always open and kids are always walking out while slowly pulling up their pants/underwear. So if he paid attention, I'm sure he's seen it. Plus he never leaves me alone while I pee. But I try to stay fairly covered up to avoid any questions.

The annoying thing is that C will purposely open the door to the bathroom or the gate for the stairs for her when he knows I'm not looking.

tgrimes sounds a little different. Maybe we were just lucky but I don't think we saw hardly any discharge at all. Dude was literally 100% a different baby and completely fine the same afternoon as surgery.

All of you seeing your insides freaks...count me in. I had jaw surgery when I was 19 and really wished I had it on video. Although mskatiep the blackhead videos and whatnot are a step too far for me.

Maddie was my more naughty child. She would not stop getting into the cat food when we lived in an apartment. Luckily during that phase since we were in such small quarters there wasn't much to barricade. She was also the one with all the nasty diapers. Cass only had maybe 1-2 massive blowouts, Maddie had them a lot. She also would take off her diapers, make a mess, and pee all over the crib. Good times. Cass is my vomiter though. Maddie didn't throw up until she was at least 3, maybe 4. Cass has had several puking in public incidents.

Thanks for the commiseration! Josie was physical, but I can't keep my eyes off of this boy. I know s big piece of it is that he has to keep up with Josie, but he never stops moving.

Hi from the doctors office. Waiting my turn. The only appointment they offered me was at the medical offices I don't like. The waiting rooms are so small and I feel like everyone is on top of me.

Hi girls, sorry I was a little mia yesterday. This work/family/building thing while trying to breathe is getting the better of me! We’re finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel, but is going to take longer than expected unfortunately.

The nurse took me back for my vitals. Apparently if you drink more then 4 drinks a day one day a year your an alcoholic. I want to be honest with them but if they are going to keep printing out this stuff I'm going to stop being honest.

guster dd is like that, my goodness this girl will get me in shape if it’s the last thing she’ll do. Plus, the silver lining of ds’ eating problem was that he wouldn’t put anything in his mouth. We now realise that this was also very handy, I’ve gotten snails out of dd’s mouth to many times (snails are her ‘thing’).

"How many drinks do you have a week?" Oh, um... 3.
