Did board short daddy scare everyone away? Did day 48 this morning, and I had the German embarrassment for them. Their son was cute helping them out though.

Ouch. I think reducing the weight is a good idea. Do you think there's a certain move that causes the tweak? The reverse fly and the lateral raises. I felt it in my neck when I was doing them on Friday and knew I was going to pay for it. I tried so hard to keep the weight in my arms and not my neck or shoulders, but it just didn't work. I clearly need a lot more time with the lighter weights. I have to do both those moves with the lower weights. I use 5s. I tried this week to bump up to 8s but my form sucks when I do that, so I stuck with 5s.

Hello ladies! I am a solid week behind, but I am back from Europe and ready to jump back in.
My body is still on Europe time, so I was wide awake at 3:30 AM this morning and then when I still hadn't dozed off by 4:50 AM, I thought "fuck it" and got up to workout. I opened my laptop to kick off week 7—it was labeled lower strength, but the description was talking about cardio. I noped right out of there and went for a 4-mile run instead. It felt AMAZING and it was farther than I had run without walking in months.
On a side note, our trip was fabulous and we walked a total of 102 miles in 8 days.
Back to BBM tomorrow and hopefully I can double up here and there to catch up eventually.

Ok. Boardshort Daddy is a dumb name, stop trying to make it happen. That workout was messy AF. You keep saying it's free but people do pay for it and you are making money off it, so get some order in your videos, get someone to watch your kids and if you're going to repeat the workout video multiple times a week, try to make the workout a good one and, you know, actually do the workouts.
Your husband's full time job is BBM. As in, those 3 20-minute workouts you film once a week. And he doesn't know the format of your cardio routine. He sucks at his job.
Absolutely, no one was excited to watch you and your husband workout. No one. Except you. So stop giggling and do the damn workout. I'm here to lose weight, not find out how you and your husband met.
That shit was a hot mess.

I am hurting. I think I need to go back down in weights for the arms, because every time I do it with the heavy weights, I tweak my neck and end up with monster headaches. I had a headache from Friday night through this morning. So, I took 3 days off and will jump back in tomorrow morning. Hey! Me too! Fun!

I skipped 48 and hiked instead.
Today I did 51 and 53 (I think they were swapped in my journal).
I'm going to do whatever strength and cardio in doubles tomorrow and Wednesday and then do a big hike with the dog on Friday and hopefully run a couple times this weekend.

I did 25 today and I actually really liked it. It’s the week 4 cardio and I find it really challenging but doable. I didn’t do my elliptical cardio on top of it this time because I started at 9 pm and that’s already past my bedtime. I fell asleep on the couch yesterday so I probably should have doubled up today but I did not. I will do strength tomorrow and fit in and extra workout. I’m pretty excited to be at 25 since this is literally the first workout program I’ve stuck with this long. Cher I am now looking forward to that particular workout so that I can have context for your open letter.

I did 4/6 days this week (I did 2 upper, 1 lower & the fit test). But I also ran a 1/2 marathon on Sunday so I'm counting that as 2 cardio days.
ETA: I may have to go back to the cardio this week just to see the hot mess everyone is talking about. (I'm probably not gonna do that)

I use 2-25's for legs. Also, you don't need to be sore from your workout. As your muscles get stronger, you don't need to be sore after every workout.
