Ladies I love you all but I need.to step away from the board foe a few days. DH thinks it's slowly making me nuts along with googling and he s probably right. I'm going to spend the week just being a mom and loving my LO buy I'll be back soon.

addymac, M is the same on weekends when MH takes the motn feedings. She slept horribly all week then this weekend she only woke up once on Saturday night and last night. Now that I'll be alone again she'll probably sleep like shit again! It happens EVERY weekend. In fact, the two times ever that she sttn were both MH's nights! Awww damn lady this is just cruel! I hope she pleasantly surprises you tonite

So MH took M to his parents' house so that I could study for my test tomorrow but instead I'm online grocery shopping and on here. I'm so not focused on school right now. I also hate that whenever I have to study MH takes the baby somewhere for like the whole day. I know he's doing it to help me focus but I already feel like I lose out on so much time with her. I told him that and he basically just said you need to study and not be distracted but I feel more distracted when I'm constantly worried about what she is doing. I wish he could just entertain her here at home and I could take study breaks and see her. I just called to check on her and he said she's really crabby. I was just like please bring her home. I know he'll take forever getting back here. Ugh, sorry to complain, I feel like I'm never happy! First, I'm upset cuz I never have time to myself to study and now I'm upset that I have too much time alone to study. I just have anxiety when he's at his parents with her because I feel like none of them really know how to take care of a baby!

king26 Take care of yourself- googling definitely doesn't always help when the internet has 500 different answers to everything. Enjoy your time with your little one.

We had a couple of pretty good days here. Sure little miss D still fusses and cries quite a bit but mostly in the evening and we have gotten used to it some and have a routine between the two of us now that seems to work. I still take the majority of the load on -both with the baby as with house chores etc- even when MH is off work so there is def some work to be done there still but overall things are rolling on smoothly as can be with a newborn around. Phew!
I do recognize so much of what you all write when it comes to our husbands! Sometimes it is like I am reading something I wrote myself but somehow forgot (which totally could happen lol!).
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and will have a good week!

So I took D. out in the carrier earlier this afternoon for the first time. I had to run a quick errand, and she was fussy, so I hoped that walking her would sooth her. Sure enough, by the time I had walked to the store she was passed out. She was asleep (and quite deep asleep as well, all limp) when we got home and I ohso very carefully got her out of the carrier and put her in bed. Of course one minute later she was wide awake again?? How does that work, missy, do you have some secret extra sense? LOL It's the same when she's asleep either in her own bassinet or like napping with daddy. The moment I decide to lay down for a nap myself as well is the moment she wakes up. Without fail! I really needed to eat something though so and she wasn't crying or anything, just wide awake (and sometimes telling a story), so I kept her in her bassinet while I had lunch and puttered around for a bit. We're now an hour later and she's still in her bassinet. I don't think she's slept any, unless she took like 5 minute powernaps here and there. Hopefully she rested some anyway? I know one thing, I appreciated the time without a baby attached to me Even though I'm still like way behind on everything I'd like to do heh. Now I'm waiting for her hunger cues as it's been 3h since she ate so she must be getting hungry??

muscari that happens to me too, which is why I just end up wearing her most of the time. I know that’s an issue though. Now that the crib mattress is free I plan on trying naps in the crib, hopefully starting tomorrow. We’ll see!

I’m meeting up with a mom friend today to exchange clothes for our LOs. She has a DD who is the same age as DS and she had a DS 12 day’s before P was born, so I’m gonna get some girl clothes from her and give her some of DS’s clothes for her son. I’m also going to get my flu shot today since I still need to do that. DS and H already got theirs.

I don't mind carrier her but some things are just impossible to get done with a baby in front or you 🤗 and I just kind of like for her to sleep in bed too haha. D. spent an hour contently laying around in her bassinet - then just when I was going to pick her up she fell asleep lol. Slept another 40 minutes so I got to run another errand once MH got home too. I hope you will be succesful before too long getting babygirl to sleep in the crib.

jexxa how fun you get to exchange baby clothes with your friend this way. They will hopefully become playmates in time as well!? MH and I were just discussing flu shots earlier. We usually do not get them (tho the years where I had my heart surgeries I did) but with a newborn around I kind of really dont want to get the flu in the house so I want to get it again. MH doesnt tho which annoys me a little. If he does get the flu a. I dont want D to catch it and b. I really don't need to baby another baby with the manflu while already taking care of D!

I'm nervous to get the flu shot because last year when I got it I ran a fever that night and had the symptoms of the flu. That sounds like pure hell with MOTN wake ups. But, getting the actual flu would be much worse. I'll have to schedule it when MH is off work.
Anyone doing vitamin D drops? I thought it would come with a dropper, but it's an EO type of bottle and takes forever to get a drop out. I ended up putting it on my nipple right before a feed. Will he get enough of the vitamin that way?

@easilyunamused We do a multivitamin when I remember. It smells gross and stains. I hate it. We do baby probiotics with vit D included that I'm much better about giving him. I do think that if you put it on your nipple he will get enough.

Go to exchange it at cvs and cashier is like oh well double check this new one is ok. We open it and same thing! And she’s like what?? And then we realize it’s an EO type of bottle and you have to let the damn thing just drop out 🤣 I took my bottle and ran out of the store lol. So yeah, same thing here. I drop it on my nipple and assume he will get enough. 🤷🏻♀️

I'm surprised it's like that, since the chance of multiple drops coming out are pretty high.

jt2378 mine is showing signs of the second leap today too!! Very clingy. And this one lasts 14 days. Yikes jexxa That's awesome you got to exchange clothes. Hand me downs are the best. muscari I'm super impressed that D chilled alone in her bassinet awake for that long. She must be really easy going! Baby H fusses within 10 minutes. So, I feel bad now bc I assumed dh was giving baby H his vitamin D in his nightly bottle. He's not! Id better get on that. Mine has a dropper, though, thankfully-- the pediatrician gave it to me as a sample. I had one of the stupid no dropper ones with DS1 and hated it. We don't have time to wait for the drop to come out!! Two month appt and shots are tomorrow and I am dreading it. Poor DS1 was miserable after his 2 month appt, and I'm sure it will be the same for baby H. I made my first Target run since baby was born and bought more clothes than I meant to, but I couldn't try anything on bc I was wearing baby H. I just love fall weather when it's normal to wear boots, jeans and flannel!! I might cry if none of the pants fit bc I went 2 sizes up from my pre-pregnancy size.

So N is in his second leap i guess. But he is being awful at night sleeping the last two nights- and it’s basically 1pm over here and all he has done today is eat and nap. He was fussy until 4am or so, I finally put him in his rnp and he slept til 7. I fed and we snuggled and slept til 930? And since then it has been wake up, snack, sleep. Repeat. Like snacking at 1040,12,1240, and napping in between. Barely keeps his eyes open. Woof. How am I supposed to get anything done when he freaks if I am not snuggling him while he naps. I am just going to enjoy our cuddle session I suppose. Lord knows I will be crying for them when I’m back at work in two months. But I’m so hungry

We just started the vit D drops 2 days ago. The pedi mentioned it at her 2 month appt that we should be doing it. With DS we did the concentrated ones that you do one drop per day, but then I read if you accidentally do too many drops at a time (which I know is easy to do with the way the thing dispenses) that that can be an issue. Like I guess there’s a thing as too much vitamin D? I dunno. So now this time we’re doing the 1ml dropper which is nice because you just do it once a day, but the stuff is really strong smelling and can stain.

Is there a specific reason to give vitamin D? My pedi never has mentioned it and now I'm curious if I should ask her.

I keep forgetting about being consistent with the vitamin D drops ugh. cwbh928, it has something to do with baby not being able to get in from breastmilk, not sure why. I tried the crib once yesterday for a nap, she lasted 5 mins lol
