clementine I had to show my H that sandlot sign, it's one of his favorite movies and I know he'll die to have that in the nursery! Meanwhile, I'm dying for this sign to hang over the crib- Aaand I'm crying. Saaame. Why do they grow up so fast??

mintyblueair too bad he vetoed navy, I think like a cobalt blue maybe on one wall would be fantastic with that rug. It looks like a really fun color scheme! If navy is dark, I guess o well we'll have a dark little cave of a nursery. It's pretty dark gray and we're putting navy on two walls. My cousin is coming in a couple weeks and he'll help me get a bunch done in there and I'll feel a lot better about it.

Your nursery sounds like it'll be lovely. I talked my husband into considering one wall navy, so that's still an option at this point. Now I'm just trying to narrow down the number of paint chips I have... I found two navies I like but omg it's hard to choose a white!

But I'm already dreading the trip to Joann to pick out the white for Jehoshaphat' s crib quilt. This is my inspiration:

I'm bumping this because we are finally starting to work on ours. I've decided to do gray walls with mint and coral accents. Right now the room is gray with a purple accent wall that we will paint gray. I just need to decide if I want to keep the gray the same or change it to a lighter one. Mh is going to hang these curtains today and I ordered these from Etsy that will be here next week. I haven't decided on bedding yet or what else to put in the room. We have an espresso crib, dresser, and cube storage with teal cubes.

I'm impressed that you're making the quilt yourself.

this is the state of nursery as of now...this is all ordered, just waiting for stuff to be delivered. also putting shallow shelves on wall for books. still need to get curtains, white cube shelves at ikea, and cart for diapers, etc. i put a deadline to be done at 36 weeks so that gives us 2.5 weeks

We hung curtains yesterday and I like the gray with it so we are going to paint the purple wall this weekend and rearrange the furniture in there. I have these coming this week and I'm going to order this decal to hang above the crib. The prints will be coral instead of pink in the picture. I also have mint and coral storage bins coming in this week too. I can't decide on a rug or if I want to get a glider this time. I didn't get one with DD1 and used the recliner in the loft but I'm worried if I use that this time around I'll wake DD1 since her room is right by it. I also need a few more things for the walls but want to see how it looks with these things first.

cp3 i had the same dilemma about a glider. i always did motn stuff in the living room last time, but i didn’t want to have to go up and down stairs this time around. we just ended up going for it and i’m hoping it was the right decision.

Yeah I'm leaning more towards getting one. Where did you order yours from?

cp3 wayfair. it’s on a few different sites, but i had a coupon code and got free shipping. the one i was eyeing from land of nod was $$$ and i couldn’t justify it especially since the ottoman was sold separately

cp3 I recommend getting a glider. It's so nice to have it all centeralized in their room- plus there's less chance of disturbing sleeping older siblings! I got a recliner one from Buy Buy Baby (20% off coupon) so didn't have to worry about an extra foot rest or anything. It's in my room currently but will move to the nursery when we get it all set up

I'll have to measure but for space wise I'm looking at ones like this because they seem to take up less space. They mostly have good reviews but I'm not sure how comfortable they are.

If the debate is between buying a glider and buying a rocker/recliner, for me the recliner was a way better choice. I am always pulling my knees up on chairs or sitting sideways so the only time a chair like cp3 posted would work for me is when I was sitting bolt upright which I'm sure I will be for nursing at least some. But I would never want to sit in the chair otherwise. We find a La-Z-Boy that wasn't papa bear size, I can rest my feet on the floor to rock it. My other criteria for a recliner was that it had higher supportive arms since I want to nurse in it I didn't want to flat wide mushy arms that some recliners have. I'll see if I can find a pic of the one we have on layaway. ETA pic. Ours is a bluish grey. Not the most modern style, but I'm thinking a crisp slipcover would be a good idea.

Also I'm starting to actually be inspired about the nursery. This is the week my cousin comes so we'll at least get the office furniture moved out!

I didn't love gliders and instead used this old lazy boy that belonged to my grandpa that my parents had at their place. It was perfect and I spent a lot of nights sleeping in that chair. Its in my living room now but it'll make its way back to the nursery. Plus it had the added bonus of feeling like my grandpa was around. Man he would've loved my kid.

alwayscheese we have a recliner similar to that one in the loft. This is why I'm torn. I don't want to spend the money on a glider if I'm not going to like it and it won't get used. Maybe I'll wait and see how things go with this baby and order one if needed.

cp3, We got that glider when DD was a baby...I liked it. I did use a throw pillow to prop my arm up when I was feeding the baby, although my sister apparently told me I was strange about doing that. I don't really use it much now, but my cat thinks it's the best place to sleep. I think I would have had trouble getting up from the lazy boy since I had a c-section last time.

I like our glider. We got it with the oldest almost 7 years ago. I’m actually sitting in it right now with my feet up rocking. It’s comfortable enough that I’m comfortable for feedings/rockings late night, but not comfortable enough that I’m falling asleep with a babe in my arms in it.

+whatever to the La-Z-Boy rocker/recliner. I loved the extra soft support and comfy-ness for nursing and snuggles. It was also super comfy to sleep in...which may or may not be a plus, ha. My only complaint is I hate the color we ordered. I'm terrible at picking from swatches.

And our nursery is finally done. My mom ordered a coral quilt that will match the sheets that arrives today but I love the way it came out. Not the best pictures due to the lighting.

Finally put up the dots for the confetti wall in the nursery. Crib is set up and has crib skirt but no sheets. 🤔 we also have a recliner, a carseat and a pile of clothes and many other piles of random decor and stuff. I actually have a collage to put on the confetti wall yet, but still need a couple pieces. I am too perfectionist to make the confetti truly random lol.
