How's it going, ladies? A gem from DD2 (4.5) today: She stepped into the bathtub and went: "mmm... delicious" I laughed: "Did you just say the bath is delicious?" Her: "I mean *warm* delicious." And actually, that kinda makes sense. So here's to deliciously warm baths - may your week be full of them Also, we don't have an adult-sized bathtub, so you'll have to take one for me.

crimsonandclover they make small bathtubs? lollipop how was mini thanksgiving? We are having a quiet day and I am ok with that. I have oil a nap with dd2 and I’m sincerely hoping she continues to sleep another hour. Apparently we are on the potty training path. Dd3 has had two accidents in her pants since Saturday. Otherwise as long as I ask her, she goes on the potty. Maybe I’m the one that’s trained. Either way, I’m happy!

A plastic baby tub DDs 1+2 still bathe in it bc we don't have anything else and they love baths. We want to finish the current upstairs storage room next year and a tub is #1 on the priority list

We have beautiful, sunny weather today so I took the girls to the pumpkin patch. We didn’t actually get pumpkins, just walked around and looked at the farm stuff, climbed on hay bales, checked out the animals and stuffed our faces with kettle corn. Now we are taking a little break at home, then off to the park!

dizzycooks my mom ended up doing the whole shebang after all. It was good. Both kids "helped" with the cooking. We brought home leftovers for H. My sister and BIL didn't come, but it was short notice.

Our weather is straight up kooky. Yesterday was warm enough that S was playing outside in just a shirt and pants. Tomorrow it's supposed to snow. And people wonder why some of us get headaches all the time...

Im exhausted. Dd2s class has a case of strep. How many days does that incubate? My pile of dishes is ginormous and my bathroom need cleaning. I am coming to the conclusion that getting anything done when my day is broken up into one hour segments is almost impossible. I cannot get the ball rolling. Recommendations?

dizzycooks, do you have any days where you just hang out at home and you can do it while the girls entertain themselves? That would be hard. The other option is after they go to bed but I know for me I'm exhausted by then and the last thing I want to do is clean.

DD, the dog and I hiked this morning while the boys fished. Our friends are up here too so that is making things interesting. They go go go and I need to break up my day. My kids cannot survive on 20-30 minute cat naps in the car. And hers are always tantrumming (is this a word?) so... I dunno. But the kids are having a blast. They leave tomorrow and then we'll be able to do our own thing at our slower speed.

I think it's about time to bust out my shoe warmers. I just have to find my slippers. My feet are always cold.
S is mad at me. He was hitting his friend, so I made him come inside, and when he started screaming like a toddler I sent him to his room. I can hear him grumbling up there through the baby monitor in M's room, which means he's being pretty loud about it

nellieoleson perfect silence and a drink sounds amazing. I understand. This no dishwasher thing is getting old, but I’m determined to pay off a few bills before buying a new one. I’m going to post some bunk bed ideas later. Anyone seen any room designs they love? I’m getting a big to redo the big girls room with dd3s stuff.

I understand the desire to pay off a few other things, but dang. You have three kids and are pregnant. If anyone needed a dishwasher it’s you, lady. If you guys really can’t swing it financially, I understand and sympathize - but don’t try to tough it out for the sake of being tough. Bunk beds sounds exciting for the girls. My dd1 is completely obsessed with them right now. Are all three girls going to be in the same room soon? I forgot how you have their sleep set up now.

I went to bed at 10 last night, which is semi early for me, at least on H's game nights, but I couldn't relax and fall asleep until after H was home and asleep. So I'm super tired. I'm so glad S is able to walk into the school on his own, it means I don't have to put real clothes on until it's time to pick him up

lollipop keep practicing. One of those days you’ll get use to it if you keep trying. I use to be up for the day when dh left at 4:45am and now I can fall back asleep most of the time. nellieoleson we’ve just had so many house things this fall it seems frivolous. I also have no idea what I want. Currently the big two have a bunk, but I’m planning on an okra Kura bed for dd2 and putting dd3 on the bottom of dd1s bunk and making a reading book under the kura bed. There are so many cute ideas on Pinterest. I wish I’d known about the Kura bed when we bought the first bunk bed.

dizzycooks a dishwasher, for you especially, is most definitely NOT frivolous! But I understand how things add up and sometimes you get tired of spending money. I think there should be some good sales on appliances coming up so I’d at least start researching so you are ready to pull the trigger when the price is right.

DD’s new favorite phrase is “Oh, man!” She uses it a lot and I crack up every time. Any time she drops something or something doesn’t go right. I think it has replaced “uh oh!” 😂

We are still waiting on words over here. Us too. We have a lot of sounds that come with gestures so she can sort of her her point across, but the only words she really has are mama and Dada.

We have a words/sounds combo going on over here. Today dd1 was stringing some wooden beads and dd2 reeeeeaaaaalllly wanted them. She kept calling them “Bzzzz” - she must have thought we were saying bees instead of beads. Haha.

Ok I’m going to vent. I fed the girls dinner, knew we needed to leave by 6:15 for church and then decided to attempt mowing the lawn in less than 30 minutes (ha!) it’s 90% mowed. I get inside and dh is eating and says “let’s go to Costco” while the big kid is at church. Me: blank stare. Seriously?? Ok fine, my list is on the counter, baby needs to pee, and I have to go NOW, but I’ll be back and we will do Costco in less than one hour (said no one ever! What’s the fun when you can’t browse??) so we go, I get everything and then st the checkout he cannot find the gift card we were using to pay. Like he freaking lost it. It had almost $200 on it. He got lucky bc it was on the counter at home, but what is so hard about putting it in your wallet and getting two kids ready to go?? So none of the other stuff I wanted done got done tonight and everyone is just now down for bed and the dishes are finally done. I am going to bed.

So our friends who were up north with us went home today. She just texted me that her daughter (almost 2) came down with a fever last night and the school she goes to had a breakout of HFM. 😡 So what are the chances DD gets it!?!? We just got over that scary croup. My dad is having major surgery next Tuesday and then I go to New Orleans for work. I don’t have time for HFM or any other kind of sickness. 😩

For the first time since it started a month ago, dd2 is taking a nap while dd1 is at school. I have a quiet house! In the middle of the day! I have no idea what to do with myself...

Shutterfly is having a big sale and I just finished dd3s first year book. I may order Christmas cards so I can wrap up my order with free shipping. I also have coupons for free placemats so I guess the girls will be getting those for Christmas I love puzzling a good order together! Oh and I found the photos. It’s going to be a pain to recover them, but it can be done. Thank goodness!

We head home tomorrow. It’s been an awesome week. We’ve done so much between fishing and hiking. I love watching DD hike! It’s so fun to watch her explore, check out a flower, pick up rocks, and she’s even learning about wild animal poop. She loves to tell us to pick it up like she does at home with the dogs poop. 😂
H and DS got up early this morning for one last fishing jaunt so I’m taking DD and the dog for one last hike later on. Then we might go for an afternoon drive to see more fall colors.
