dizzycooks, that would really frustrate me, too, if DH did something like that. nellieoleson, nice to get that time!! DD3 is not saying a whole lot. Well, she does say a lot, mostly "MAMA! MAMAAAAAA! MAMAMAMAMAMAMAMA!" all. day. long. But I guess I should say she doesn't have a very big vocabulary. Mama, Papa, yes (yeah), nein (no), woof woof, baaaah (sheep), choo choo, kitty, and meow. I think that's about it. Oh, and bye bye. She screams it through the DC/preschool building when I pick her up. It's kinda cute. And kinda loud.

So, I dragged the kids to sephora today because I needed a few things. I ended up buying the Benefit Boing brightening concealer, and it is awesome. www.sephora.com/product/boi-ing-brightening-concealer-P419714I look about 4000x less tired. I may never get a good night’s sleep again, but at least I’ll look good while I’m doing it.

Lately I have been using Dr Jart Premium BB cream. It’s basically a tinted moisturizer with SPF. I do under eye concealer over that, then a little dusting of powder over T zone. Slap on some blush and mascara and call it good.

I never buy expensive mascara, because I like to replace it every two months max and Maybelline Lash Sensational is on my Amazon subscribe and save and is pretty legit - BUT I made an impulse purchase of Diorshow mascara because I read such a glowing review of it the other day. I will say it is superior, and I like it very much, but it costs 4x more than my old trusty, so I can’t see making it a habit.
Also, my eyelashes now smell like roses. I can’t tell if I hate it or feel fancy.

Lesson learned: Don’t leave an unsupervised bundt cake in reach of toddlers. Just walked into the kitchen to this scene:

S asked to go to bed an hour early tonight. We let him, because he was up at about 4 30 and then again around 6. And we're taking him to an indoor amusement park tomorrow afternoon as his (Very late) birthday present. My sister is going to watch M so it's just him and us.

lollipop sounds like fun! We are going apple picking again, probably swimming and meeting my dad at Crayola experience. It’s kind of a busy weekend here.

My apple eater. I woke up to this earlier this week. They were so proud of getting her a snack and out of her crib while I slept 😂

I’m in a mood. Trying to snap out of it. But I can’t seem to. Ugh. That sucks. I hate those days. Are you PMSing? Or coming down with something? Sometimes if I can pinpoint a reason it helps cope with that feeling, even if it doesn’t make the feeling go away.

I’m in a mood. Trying to snap out of it. But I can’t seem to. Me too. DD3 was really whiny all morning and DD1 was acting like a spoiled brat. I was snarling some and just needed everyone to leave me alone (DH was gone for the morning).

I’m sorry for the sour moods. I hate being in a funk like that. I’m kind of the same in the evening lately. So done with the day I just want to go to bed. I’m pretty sure I’ve been in bed before 9 everyday for the last week.

Definitely not PMS’ing. But nellieoleson after reading your comment I did think more about it. I think it’s the fact that our vacation is over and I’m headed into a very stressful week. I’m very anxious about it and trying to make myself step back and get through one day at a time. My dad is having surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm on Tuesday. I leave that night for a work conference (provided he comes out of surgery ok). Come home Friday and going to my friends wedding rehearsal and then the wedding on Saturday night. DS is the ring bearer so it’s a pretty big deal. Still haven’t decided if we will bring DD or get a sitter.

On a completely different and more light hearted note, I took your suggestion for dd’s costume, theoprah!! Since DS is going as a policeman for Halloween I found dd a donut costume! 😂 it came while we were gone so I haven’t tried it on her yet.

I'm leaving for a week on Monday and feeling anxious about it. I've never been away for a whole week. We just had a new nanny start on Thursday and I wish I was going to be around to supervise her more. LO has been having some rough days lately - I think maybe the nanny transition is tough for him, and he has also started to sometimes become really fixated on something he wants. The other day he lost it over a brownie. I feel bad for him, it's hard learning to regulate those feelings. MH pretty much only sees him for about 2 hours on weekdays, so I hope he makes it with the new nanny and without me. I hope I make it too. I've been starting to have waves of nausea and am exhausted. Also, my hand pump is packed away and I'm not sure if my boobs will make it a week without exploding. Sorry for the brain dump.

I have the tired. Both kids have colds, and per the norm, S has that croupy cough to go with it. I got home at 12:45 last night and he was in bed with H hacking away. I gave him his inhaler, some vaporub and put him to bed, and ended up sleeping in there with him.

scorpioscuba - yessss!!! Please share pics later!! Also I hope that the funk ends soon! tinydancer - GL on your work trip. I always know that I will be ok but I am always worried about how things are going back home. I hope it goes fast for you. I am still seeing my fertility acupuncturist and peeing on all of ovulation sticks. I am only 36 - I should have at least ONE good egg left, right?? :/ sorry but TTC is such a head game.
