Columbus Day Week(end) Randoms

I even tried putting him in the bed with us which he loves and which I hate doing but he wasn't having any part of it. I guess it'll be lots and lots of coffee todah

We had a crap night of sleep here too. I didn't get DD down until midnight, and then DS woke up a few times between then and when he got up for the day. He gets up by 6:30, so with his waking and feeding DD I got very little sleep. I have a migraine right now too which is just great.

I have to take DS to the dentist this morning for our 3rd attempt at him letting them in his mouth. The other times he clamped his mouth shut and wouldn't have anything to do with it. The joys of toddlers!

DD smiled at me yesterday though which is a cute new development!

My poor guy. He is having a rough time. In the last 3 hours he has fallen asleep 3 times only to wake up after 5 minutes screaming and crying . I hope he is ok. He's finally sleeping in my arms, I'm afraid to put him down

And j has slept 25 minutes in the past 4 hours. He just fell asleep on me and I am not moving him for once. He needs some sleep

No sleep in the Easily house either. Well, I'm sure the dog and MH slept fine. 😆

Like cali, we had those 2 good nights and these last 3 have been the worst. There were lots of tears from the both of us so last night. I'm starting to dread bedtime now.

N was up at 2, fed, put him down at 3, he was up at 4,5,6... I pulled him in bed with us at 5 and he's been doing little catnaps. I'm so tired. He just fell asleep on my chest and I'm so hungry but fuck if I'm moving. 😞

addymac hope your night is better too. I've had 2 cups of coffee and DH got me a bento pumpkin latte and I'm still tired. I'm also starving but j has been sleeping on me for an hour and I'm not moving until he is up. Also I agree...dont move!

Sorry for all the crappy sleeping, ladies. We're on day 2 of only napping 15 min at a time and refusing to be anywhere but on me. Meanwhile we leave after nap for the weekend so I'm trying to do laundry, pack, and clean. Thankfully she's ok with being in the Ergo for now.

J slept on me for 1 hour 15 minutes, woke up, DH fed him, then he s been asleep.for about 49 minutes now....he is exhausted so hopefully this will help him catch up.and not be a crab. We've got a friend visiting in the morning so hopefully he is pleasant and rested

Thanks for asking! I was just getting ready to post. 😊

Once the Tylenol fully kicked in, P fell asleep for the night around 10. I was watching the football game (go Eagles!) so I stayed up until that was over and P just slept on me. Went upstairs around 11:45, got her changed and swaddled without waking her up. She wouldn’t even wake up to nurse (I always offer right before I go to bed). She slept until 6:30, I changed and nursed her, and she went right back to sleep until 10:15. Fell back asleep around 11:45, woke up at 1:45. It’s now 2 and she is currently dozing off while nursing 😯

I actually feel guilty typing that out while everyone else’s babies aren’t sleeping.

At least P doesn’t seem to be in pain anymore! I was a little concerned with her reaction yesterday.

R has been fussy today. Waking a lot, wanting to eat more frequently but not full bottles. But, she just started the fussy stage of the second leap.

He did pretty good! He let them brush and look at his teeth at least. Maybe because I told him if he let the dentist check out his teeth I'd take him to the "toy store" (aka Target). Bribery for the win.

After a sleepless night and morning j is now sleeping non-stop. He sleeps 1.5 hours, wakes up to eat for 30 minutes and goes back down . I'm getting a lot done but now I'm worried about his sleep tonight! I'm never happy! Lol

Woke up this morning to a huge crashing sounds in the basement. I went down there and found that the humidifier on our furnace had fallen off and broken. So had to call off from clinicals today and stay home to wait for the furnace repair guy. Aside from the fact that it's going to be super expensive to fix I'm so glad to have a day at home with M after this awful week. She slept horribly last night but then napped from 8:30-11, so I napped with her and it was great. Now we're up and snuggling on the couch and she's in a pretty good mood. Shes catnapping on and off so I'm not able to actually get anything done but I'm really enjoying my time with her because I've missed her so much this week.

J is on his 4th 1 hour nap....im hoping this is a good thing but I don't know. I really need him to sleep tonoght.

So P has continued to sleep al day, and now she had a fever of 101. I know fevers are common after shots, but they always say to call if a fever is over 100.4 so I did. The on-call provider made me feel so stupid. She just kept saying “a fever is expected after shots, just keep giving Tylenol every 4 hours”. Yes, I know that.

At least she’s still eating and peeing well, and the times she has been awake i’ve gotten a few smiles.

jexxa, the doctor shouldn't have made you feel dumb, I would have called too. Always better safe than sorry. I'm sorry P has a fever. I hope she's feeling better soon. I'm dreading M getting her shots in a couple weeks.

So J is already up. I seriously want to cry. We r going backwards big time. From 5 hours to 4to 3 to 2.5. I cannot do the every hour thing again tonight. I cant. I hope he sleeps at least another 2 or 3 hours here.

I hope this kid sleeps better tonight. It was better then last night as I got 5 hours instead of4 but I miss the longer stretches. Hopefully they will come back.

We've gone from longer stretches and 1 MOTN feed back to 2 or 3 MOTN feeds again and sleeping 2h stretches as well and it's so rough! She will take a longer nap (3h) during daytime now instead of just catnapping and powernaps during the day which is how it was these past couple weeks, also not ideal but as I don't manage to get any naps in myself during the day I much rather have her sleep some better at night cause those are the only hours of sleep I get myself as well.

jexxa TP to that lady on the phone! I would have called as well! Even if tis not too strange for her to get a fever after shots, this is a high fever so I would want to make sure as well. *hugs* I hope P will feel better soonest
