cali sending hugs! king26 we didn't baptize DS1 until 6 months. It was hard for to plan everything, plus we had to take classes for it. My family was pushy, but we did it when we were ready. This time around we need to find new church since we moved. So again it will probably be after the holidays. There is just too much going on this time of year. For DS1 we had immediate family and rented our our local Italian restaurant. This time around I'm not sure if we head to a restaurant or just head back to house.

king26 We baptized DS1 when he was 11 months. His godparents couldn't take the classes before then.

king26 - yay for going out and not texting! Small steps! You've got this! cali oh man I'm sorry. That sounds really tough lately. If you ever want to bring her to campus so you can (sort of) spend more time with her, I'd be happy to meet you there and watch her while you're in class or a meeting or whatever. She and N can stare at each other 😂 thinkchocolate05 that is so sweet you want to do stuff for your H but don't stress- he will understand if you can't. jexxa - hope shots go well - Ns face when he got them was heartbreaking but after like a 10sec cry he was over it. I just kissed him all over his face after each shot and it calmed him down haha. I hope your DS doesn't get sick jt2378 hope your LO does well today while you're on the trip and sleeps better tonight. Fx it was just the shots. muscari - don't worry chica, we will be here when you are ready to come back. Funny, today at the infant massage class I went to there was a mom that looked SO MUCH LIKE YOU I did a double take. I was like MUSCARI?! <<obvs not>> haha.

Today I went to an infant massage class at my hospital. It's a month long series of weekly classes. of course N cried almost the entire time and wanted to eat even though he had eaten not even 2 hours earlier 😣 So I just sat and listened and watched while I fed him and did about five minutes of massaging instead of an hour. Thanks kid! At least he wasn't the only fussy one but geez oh Pete kid! I was proud I made myself sign up and go to it. I have issues with following through on things and going to things alone, but I know I need to get out more for my sanity and for Ns sake. Then we were able to see DH for lunch! I was very happy and they got to snuggle. How adorable is this picture: N was asleep and his hand fell on the table so we positioned his hands that way. I died of the cuteness.

P did well with her shots. She screamed for a few seconds but then was fine. I was able to nurse her immediately after which I think helped. She seems to be a little fussy now, hopefully she’s ok tonight. Otherwise I’m sending H out to get infant Tylenol. She weighed in at 12lbs even (up 1.5lbs since last month) and 23.5in (up 1.5ins).
DS is definitely coming down with something. He’s got a really wet sounding cough, he says his throat hurts, he barely ate today, and I haven’t taken his temp yet but he feels pretty warm. Ugh 😔

jexxa If you have children’s Tylenol, there is no difference with the infant except it comes with the syringe. ETA We’ve saved the syringes over the years, so now we can buy the larger children’s bottle. We haven’t tried using the cup yet.

We realized that when DS was a baby and just started buying the children’s because it’s way cheaper.

I'm not at all caught up so my apologies.
E hasn't slept more than 15 min at a time since this morning. My toddler is a monster. My husband isnt getting home until after bedtime tonight.
I need a drink. Or just some peace and quiet with no one touching me for an hour or so.

We’ve been trying to get T potty train for over a year, but she’s had no interest. I’ve sort of had it, since nothing motivates her. She has a toy sitting on a shelf in her room that she gets when she’s out of diapers and she doesn’t even beg for it.
So, today she said she was interested and I didn’t put a diaper on her. An hour later she wanted a diaper and I refused. She went from like 7am to 2pm without peeing. She refused to even sit on the potty most of the time. She started crying because she was in pain. I finally got her to pee by putting a diaper opened in the potty. She’s peed a few times since. I hate to be hopeful, since she has gone on it before - but, she hasn’t had an accident today and she’s now initiating sitting on it.
We will not wait to potty train R.

bsouls I feel you on the PT struggles. DS has been pretty good with peeing, but he absolutely REFUSES to poop on the potty. He’s been wearing underwear for a few months now and will just poop in his underwear and not care. It’s so frustrating.

The effects of the shots kicked in hard a little while ago. P is so incredibly miserable. I’ve never heard her cry like this before. It made ME cry. I gave her Tylenol about 1.5 hours ago and she’s settled down a bit. She keeps drifting in and out of sleep and randomly whining/crying. It breaks my heart. I forgot how much shots suck.

@starzia I would. We gave him a little bit of Tylenol right after his shots. He barely took any- did not want to suck it down but we tried. A few hours later I gave him a little more and I think it really helped him not freak out so much that day.

king26, fyi, at the baptism class tonight everyone went around and said the age of the baby and mine was one of the youngest. Most were 5 or 6 months and one was 10 months.

jexxa. I'm sorry she's hurting. Hopefully the medicine will help. cali thank you, that's good to know. J is up already. We've had such a good week of nighttime sleep with a long first stretch but here it is 1130 and he is up already. I hope that doesn't mean he will be up all night. I've gotten spoiled with the longer stretches and this one was only 3 hours. At least DH is up and feeding him while i made bottles

@starzia I didn’t give R any Tylenol. She seemed more sleepy, but didn’t seem to be bothered. I remember T whimpered off and on after her first shots. I don’t think it matters much and I’ll probably do it in the future as a preventative measure when we get home.

Ugh! We r up again already this is so not good. I'm already exhausted. When he woke up DH asked the time. He says oh man he only slept an hour..he then riled over and went back to sleep while I'm up with him. Thanks for the fricking observation.

DH said he's do the first feeding of the night but he's ready for bed and N is still asleep. And I was asleep but got woken up when he came to get ready for bed. So now what's the point in DH staying awake when I need to either feed or pump regardless. And N is fussing around but hasn't opened his eyes. Sigh. I just wanted more than a theee hour nap since I didn't nap all day and DH doesn't do any MOTN feedings. I'm so jealous of you people with babies who are STTN.

I'm right here with you king26 and addymac, we had two good nights of sleep this weekend and I was so hoping she was going to start sttn but nope. Those were just a fluke. The last two nights she's slept like 3-4 hours total. Right now she's wide awake even though I fed and changed her over an hour ago. I've tried everything to get her to go back to sleep but she's determined to stay awake. I'm beyond tired.

addymac I love the N typing pic. So cute! jexxa Oh no! I hope the affects of the shot wear off soon. We have ours on the 18th and I am so dreading it. There's nothing worse than seeing them in pain. DS1 had his flu shot yesterday and the poor little guy was limping and sobbing at bedtime. I felt so bad. king26 That is so frustrating. It's annoying how one can start to feel like there's a routine and then one sleepless night can knock you out of the water. Hope he goes back to sleep soon. Thanks for the well wishes for DH's bday. I was able to make a pot roast and peanut butter brownies and we cleaned the house a little before his family came over.

I left DH in bed this time because I can't deal with 2 grumpy boys. We had 1 3 hour stretch initially but then it's been every freaking hour since. I think I've had maybe 4 hours of horribly broken sleep. I can't imagine being this tired and having to work or go to school so you have my sympathies
