My husband took DD for a walk during a break in the rain so I could have a short nap. I woke up drenched in sweat, but my swelling went way down, so... sorry, couch.
I'm sure when I get off my rear end it will start again, heh. Pregnancy is so gross.

My freaking dog has ruined 2 of my 3 pairs of maternity leggings. Idk if I should buy more, or try to make do with non maternity for after my CS. I figured they would be good because they were soft, high, and not tight. I bought spams leggings for awhile after, but am not sure those will work immediately after...

One of my friends shared an article on Facebook about how important kick counts are. It was kind of triggery and made me nervous enough to download the app. My little guy definitely moves around but I wouldn’t say as much as some of you describe. He passes every time I do a legit kick count though so I guess I should just make sure to do one every day. I saw the same article (I'm assuming) on scarymommy. It was very triggery and I see why people think it's important but I also think it can cause some fear that may not be necessary in mom's. I try to pay attention a few times a day and make sure baby is moving around. If I notice or think S/he hasn't then I make an effort to try to get it too. Yeah that was the one. You’re right- the fear is likely unnecessary for most. I still have my fetal Doppler so I can always double check with that if needed.

Thanks ladies. Miraculously, DD let H get up with her this morning without the usual 15 minutes of whining for Mom. So I am still in bed relaxing. Threenagers man. They are no joke. End of age 2 and beginning of age 3 were definitely one of DD's hardest ages. Threenager is sooooo accurate. Around 3.25 is when it calmed down for us.

Also crampy here. Definitely feeling the period like cramps more often, but definitely not too regularly. Today we are meeting my coworkers for lunch at PF Chang's and I am pretty sure it is a baby shower, so that will be nice. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

My son skipped terrible twos and most of the th teenager stage- till about 3.5 and then he started making up for lost time. He just turned 5 and is FINALLY starting to come around again. Sometimes. My daughter- holy hell. Terrible two's from the day she turned 2. and it's not going anywhere. Oh my word. She just flipped a switch one day.

DD and I are going to attempt a cemetery stroll this afternoon. I've never been before due to one reason or another, but I'm determined to go today. It's a self guided tour around a very old cemetery and there are people dressed up like significant figures that are buried there. They tell stories and I believe there is a scavenger hunt for the kids. Hopefully, my pelvic pain goes away in the next few hours so it can be a nice before-baby bonding experience for us. That sounds like a lot of fun! I wonder if they do that here since there's a pretty huge cemetery near us. Susan B. Anthony was buried there.

Re: kick counts. I also think they should call it movement counts. Kicks makes it seem deceiving. She's rolling around lots, but if I was counting actual kicks now I'd be concerned. Also some days I think she just gets turned in a different direction and it just feels different/less. And some days she's sleepy, haha.

Most of what I feel isn't kicks but other movement. I also read the Scary Mommy article and I think it is good information, but yes definitely scary.

Anywhere he'd be kicking would be right where my placenta is, which may explain some of that, but there also just isn't room for the same kinds of movements. I remember with DD, it definitely became more of a rolling/pressing/shifting movement at the end, not kicks. This baby seems pretty happily engaged in my pelvis, so I only really feel movement in the same part of my belly (where his butt is, basically) as he swings around.

I don’t even count kicks, all this kid does is twerk. His booty is bumping out of my side like 50% of the day.

Unfortunately, after much contemplation and a few almost tears, I've decided I wouldn't be able to handle it in my current state. There's always next year, I guess.

I was planning on going to the haunted hayride by me then realized that's probably not a good idea. Next year it is.

Haven't read further than this but I want to say I completely agree with this. It is so, so important to be aware of any changes. But I agree it's very fear inducing as well. Every baby is different and will not have the movements/number of movements as another baby. I don't even necessarily feel "kicks with this baby, it's more like seeing/feeling rolling movements. I feel feet in my ribs and hands in my pelvis but it's different than a kick count thing. Obviously if something is different I will be alarmed but those aren't my baby's normals either. The idea is good, the delivery is kind of meh

I don't do kick counts and my ob office has never mentioned it. I would if something seemed off but for the most part I just feel more of the rolling type movements, not true kicking.

After DD wakes up, we're going to go out for my birthday dinner. I just need to decide what I'm hungry for.

I took a nap a few hours ago but I'm still crampy, contracting, feeling pressure and exhaustion and nauseous. I've had a few loose poops today too. If I still feel like this tomorrow I may call my doctors for some monitoring. I just don't feel right.

I've been sipping water and tea all day. We just ordered some food so hopefully a good meal helps.

I was correct about my coworkers throwing me a baby shower. 😊 more of them came than I expected, and they were very generous! It was so sweet.
