I am packing a hospital bag and made a comment about how just like with DD, there's no way this cute newborn hat will fit DS. MH asked me how the ultrasound results from 35 weeks with this baby compared to DD's. I hadn't thought to look at that because in my head, they've both been classified as LGA, so I assumed they were basically the same.
You guys, no. I mean, DD was also large for gestational age, and she was measuring 42 weeks when she was born at 38. But this new one is FREAKING HUGE.
DD: measuring 37 weeks overall at 35. Estimated 2932g/6lbs 7oz. Head circumference 13".
DS: measuring 39 weeks overall at 35. Estimated 3118g/6lbs 14oz. Head circumference 13.5".
MH's response: "Jesus, you make big babies. Well, I hope the doc can patch you up."
I guess I'll dig out some 0-3 month clothes to pack too... just in case...

misskilljoy, I'm right with you with big babies. I'm dreading what the docs going to say what DD's estimated weight is on 37 week scan Monday. Midwife yesterday estimated her (based on the 34 week scan) to be around 9lb already.... now I don't fully believe that, I'm think more 8lb 5oz (hoping) I'm not packing any 0-3 clothes though lol. DS didn't need 0-3 clothes until 3ish weeks, maybe he needed the vests right away, but not the sleepsuits because frog legs and all. If she needs it I'll get H to bring up 0-3 vests as they are all washed and ready in her wardrobe

This baby better fit in the NB size for at least a week or two. I'm used to my early kids swimming in that size, I have no idea what to do with a real sized/large baby.

We went to the pumpkin patch this morning and had a lot of fun! They made a lot of upgrades this year, so it was cool checking out all of the new activities and things. We made sure to get a tiny pumpkin for the baby since she'll be with us on Halloween! I think I won "Most Pregnant at the Patch."
I'm now biding my time until DS naps so I can eat my giant bag of kettle corn in peace.

Ran (okay, waddled) out to get DS new sneakers. Found a ridiculously soft top at Nordstrom Rack for me post babies). Also managed to work in a trip for donuts. Donuts for lunch? Yes, please. Only 1.5 weeks more of the "pregnant with twins excuse" 😉

And DS3 is sleeping on me, poor baby is still sick. I was able to get downstairs first. I’m like a turtle on their back without a sleeping 2yo on me. I just would like to shower. Instead I’m binging Are You The One and cursing the MTV app for never playing the next episode and always playing the previous episode. ::insert the shame lady from GOT::

Well I've cleaned the main floor of the house. Mostly. Organized a few cupboards. (Only because I knew my pump and monitor were in there somewhere (or so I thought!). Now realized it's 12:45 and I should probably feed my children before they turn into wild animals. lol They are both still in pjs. I wanted to go grocery shopping but i have no energy left. It's raining so Dh isn't on the field so I may cross my fingers really tightly and send him with the kids. Which I'll probably regret doing. But I can't see myself going anywhere today and our grocery stores are closed tomorrow.

All I've done is pull out the nursing tank I wanted to pack so i don't forget. And that is only because it was right in front of me when I was putting away clothing.

I have no energy, ugh. I had a nice unisom sleep, though, which helped. I need to clean my car out so that H can switch car seats around and so I can get it cleaned on Monday after getting the maintenance done.
I did meal plan and order groceries for the week this morning, so I was sort of productive! I also have laundry going.
It is really nice not to have any plans for the day. DD seems content playing with her paw patrol. After lunch I think we will put together the gingerbread haunted house we got at Trader Joe's.

Okay, join me to the BH club, I have noticed these past 3/4 days that the BH have kicked up a gear.
But it makes me wonder that DD's position/size isn't helping with them feeling stronger and more frequent. It's ridiculously tight when they come, and I am getting one about 1 an hour... and have done for 2 or so days. They aren't painful, just so tight and hurts to breathe. I'm hoping they are doing something though lol, would be great to be like 2cm gone when going in for the induction haha

Baby shower was great. The amount of gifts was overwhelimg. I will AW pics once I get them uploaded. I did get a great gift of two bins of stuff mostly for me like wine and chocolate, sleep masks and nail polish I need to look through again because each tag had a really cute saying on it.

I meant to post this sooner, but better now than never. If you haven’t heard of the magic hour and know the stages newborns go through, it is pretty interesting. This is the only thing on my birth plan. www.magicalhour.com/aboutus.html

I was nervous I would go into labor while my H was out of town so I decided to stay with my parents. I got maybe 3 hours of sleep because my back hurt so bad.

Threw in a baby hat I had found while washing blankets and then I decided I was done. Lol I need to go buy nursing tanks. None of my local stores sell maternity/nursing stores so I have to go an hour away. I can't find any of them from last time.

Ahh, hell. Headache all day so I finally took my BP because I've been sitting down chilling out for 20 minutes and it's 143/98. It's below the hospital threshold (just barely) so I am not making a phone call yet, but I have essentially done nothing today so this is not a great reading. Glad my OB decided to be proactive and book one bajillion appointments to keep an eye on things.
This is fine. Everything is fine. I will not have a baby before my birthday.
In unrelated news, I have my last-hurrah board game night with friends tomorrow! Super excited about it. We are playing an ultra nerdy Lovecraft-inspired game.

Recommendations for tote bags for a pump? I got the medela in the tote last time, but I'll need something for my new spectra. I do have an extra school tote I'm not currently using, but it'd be so big. I don't want anything huge.

I used a LeSportSac tote for awhile last time, until I got sick of lugging it and just got a second pump. It was really sturdy and easy to clean...but not an obnoxious “this is obviously toting baby stuff” bag

If I have better luck with the spectra it'll travel to work or where ever else with me and I'll keep the PISA at home.

bazi, thanks for the suggestion of the Whisps. I got some at Costco today and am enjoying them right now. I am such a salty snack person and these totally work in place of chips! I needed these in my life.

The Medela in its own bag was so convenient.
