Grilling burgers and having an easy night. It's so hot out but the kids are happy playing in the sprinkler. Tequila is being had!

Today was busier than I expected it to be. I mulched the garden, finished patching a hole in DD's wall and inventoried all rooms except my bed room to prepare for a garage sale.

I don't feel like cooking tonight. DS is feeling crappy so he's not hungry and DD just declared that she really wants Special K for dinner. Sure thing kid! MH is on his own tonight.

I have a Wawa hoagie and I'm teaching my kid how to sing an Eminem song for my entertainment. That's pure gold. I've been listening to the 90's channel and my 4 year old can bust out Eminem too. Amazing. Talented children we're raising. |

Nap was not very successful.... DD lasted an hour then kept waking up and whining and tossing and turning. Not sure what her deal is. I got maybe a half hour out of it all.

Ugh, need drinks. I know people don't like Sad stuff in the drinking thread, so here's your warning. This weekend was so awesome and I felt really good about the time we have left with my mom. Then she came over tonight and looked awful again. And was really down. She and my dad listened to some pancreatic cancer podcast that makes her think there aren't any good times left and that chemo will make her sick and that she'll be in more pain than she can bear. And I know I said all the wrong things and I feel awful.

Wasn't there some gross story about a MIL at a beach house leaving a ham out on the counter, unrefrigerated all week, eating it then trying to pass her food poisoning off as a bug?

I made it to Costco but they didn't have the wagon I wanted 😔 Got a tower fan and a picnic blanket instead. And holy busy, I've never been to a more crowded costco, why so many people at 2pm on a Monday??? You're in Canada too right? Are you looking for the collapsible one? They still have them online, just back ordered. I ordered one last week and it is supposed to ship June 5-9. I also have the picnic blanket that folds up with a strap to carry it and 3 of the tower fans. Solid purchases. Yes! That's the one I wanted but I really wanted to have it for the ILs to use this week. I got a camping one from Canadian tire but I'm not sure it's OK for a 3yo to sit in. |
