Heading home from the beach now. DH made a special stop at Fresh Market to buy the soft peppermint sticks I love so much! I think I'll keep him.

I tried on maternity jeans at target and they don't fit well (yet.) The full panel ones bunched up under my belly and looked awful, and the under-belly ones were way too big on my hips. I ended up buying a belly band to keep wearing my regular pants a bit longer.

bethkate I had the best luck with old Navy maternity jeans. I'll be getting at least one more pair. DH went for a run and I'm laying down while DS is napping. First nap in the toddler bed wasn't as smooth as bedtime has been but pretty much on par with normal naptime fuss. I ordered a puddle jumper for DS and I'm looking forward to going to the pool sometime next weekend! DS is a fish and I'm a fan of cooling down. It's already over 80 here and at least 50% humidity.

They have a ton of sales right now too. I just checked out their shorts. I'm always hesitant to buy stuff online though.

I've worn my maternity jeans a couple of times already. Based on current temps and previous summers, I might already be done with them. Which is a bummer because I like the way the full panel shapes my bump and also the melting in the heat thing.

I put myself in time out upstairs because I'm being a Grumpy Gus for no reason.

I agree AnnPerkins, I like the full panel for bump rounding purposes! But I also bought a bunch of stuff at Old Navy this weekend, a few $10ish dresses, a pair of shorts, some stylish prego tops that aren't just tshirts. I should be okay for the summer now. I was surprised I had to size up in a few things though because usually Old Navy makes things huge!

Maternity jeans and I are nemesis. I am very much a jeans and t-shirt type gal and I've searched endlessly for a pair I love. I had one last time and ripped them. Got them from thredup and never could find another pair. I bought a pair from target today, but they're medium and a bit tight through the legs and not as boot cut as is like, so they might go back. But the pair I'm currently wearing are a large and they're way too baggy and falling down. My search continues. Also, target has only this color teepee on sale for $67 right now, normally $90, since it came up in the pillow thread.

I love the Gap dresses that I bought, but cheaper is always ideal. Especially if they may be temporary wardrobe additions. This shall be the summer of sundresses.

I don't have much of an appetite, but I wasn't nachos, a sundae, and fruit roll ups...I do not want to go to the store, nor do I want to cook.

Kohls is my next stop maybe after work one day this week. My local old navy closed, so it's a bit further away for me to shop there. That'll be a next weekend trip, I think.

Holy pregnancy meltdown Batman.
I wanted Chinese food. I specifically wanted to go to Wegmans where I could pile and mish mash of things into a to go container. H hemmed and hawwed and waffles FOREVER about stopping by his parents house or not. I said let's swing by Wegmans first so I can get food to eat there because I'm very hungry and have a very specific food need right now. Went to It's first. Fine, it's fine. Get yo Wegmans at 630 and the hot bars are already empty and broken down for the night. Cue intense hunger induced meltdown in the middle of Wegmans. It took every fiber of me being not to pound on the counter and scream for a manager. And now H is all pissy bevause he thinks it's his fault and that I'm being a dick yo him, which I'm not. I'm angry and quiet, that's not me being a dick, thats me dealing with irrational, uncontrolable emotions. FUCK.

I hope you are successful with your next craving!

Not the same at all, I was very upset.

cnf pregnancy cravings are no joke. Sorry yours didn't pan out this time!!! We spent the weekend at our cabin and the mosquitoes were horrendous. I am so itchy! On the plus side, although DS has a few bites he hasn't scratched any of them and they don't seem to bother him at all- my H doesn't react to mosquito bites so hopefully DS inherited that trait! Happy short work week!!!!

My Kohls has zero maternity selection. So frustrating.
The Gap work pants and Gap jean shorts have been my favorite. I have two pairs of the work pants and just wear each twice during the week, and wear a dress once per week. Lol.

MH left a bag of milk out on the counter and I almost cried when I got home and saw it because I was preemptively stressing out about having to go get more this week when solo parenting all. fucking. week. So today has gone well.
I'm better now that I have eaten and DD is in bed.

I enjoy watching Tiny House shows. H and I just watched one with a couple building a sheepherder's wagon at 84sqft. There is no way.

I'd love to make a joke about it, but given America's current political climate and lack of maternity leave, I seriously want to live in Canada, so instead I'll offer hair pats.

"We're a family of 6 and want a 200 sq ft house where everyone will have their own rooms plus a dining table to seat all of us and full size kitchen appliances." lol

Milk bags are awesome! I know it sounds hilarious, but they're so functional. Instead of one giant jug for a gallon, it's split into three bags so you're not wrangling the same amount of weight. The bags can go in the freezer so you can buy it on sale and save for later. Bags can be reused in lunches, perfect width for sandwiches. I have strong feelings about milk bags. Clearly.
