Question for anyone: if you had a chance to meet with a medium, would you do it? A friend is hosting a thing I could go to next month. Not sure if I "believe" but I am intrigued. Goooooo! I love that kind of shit! +1 I would totally go!

It's ok. I don't put in a full 40 hours so that's good. Getting used to the work still though. There's a lot of moving pieces and "unknowns" but I'm starting to feel like I'm getting things organized.

FFTC: I don’t think the glucose test is too bad. I mean, I would never choose to drink it, but it doesn’t make me gag or anything.

I know zero about this kind of thing but I went to a psychic in college (not sure if they're the same thing but am thinking they're different?) Anywho, my roommates arranged it for my birthday and it was all in fun. She gave very vague predictions (you will live in a city further north, you won't marry the guy you're currently dating, etc). Safe bets, considering I was living in FL and was all of 20. IIRC she did say the man I'd marry would have brown hair and blue eyes and she got that right, too. So yeah I'd probably go just for fun, unless I had to shell out a lot of $.

My mom fed us some crap called scrunchy punch which was an even worse version of kool aid and I think that's the same stuff in the glucose drink.

I have to ask her to look up what the lady told us. Extra interesting is that friend was dating my now DH that summer.

Carter's school lost power at 9 this morning so they sent out an email that we could pick up our kids and it would be excused. Adam went to get him at noon. He had to use his phone flashlight bc it was so dark. And it was sooooo hot. As soon as they were about to leave the power came back on. Lol. His teacher said the day was going to end up being a blow off day so we just brought him home. He was so happy to be home at 12:30.

joelies and others whose jogged/ran while pregnant...did you wear a band or something to help support the belly when you ran? I still plan to run/jog throughout this pregnancy but want to do it without hurting.

RSVP question: Twins in Josie's class are having a movie birthday party. The mom sent out paper invitations and asked for RSVPs via a Facebook link (that she provided) or phone number. The Facebook link didn't work, so I texted her. I didn't hear back, so does that count as my RSVP or do I need to actually call? We're not going, fwiw.

chrisy01 - I didn't use anything for support. I ran straight through so the changes were gradual, plus I'm a bit long waisted, so I probably protrude less than average. Sorry, that's probably not very helpful.

I still plan to run/jog throughout this pregnancy but want to do it without hurting. I ran with both and didn't use anything. A belly band probably would have made it a bit more comfortable at times, but I didn't like the feel of them. I just listened to my body. Sometimes I'd go out and get 2 blocks and know it wasn't going to happen. Most of the time I'd feel pretty good doing 3mi. Really the most annoying thing was feeling like I had to pee the entire time.

Re: psychics - ivebeen to a million of them. Some good, some not so good. But I always enjoy the experience. Never been to a medium though.
Re: glucose drink. I didn't mind it either. Not like I'd choose to drink it but it wasn't so terrible.

I didn't hate the glucose drink but I wouldn't want to drink it just to drink it.

C had a 101.7 fever tonight. He was acting off but when he crawled into my lap and said "mom, I love you" I knew he was sick😉 Dh is going to stay home the first half of the day and I'll do the second half. I have to deal with the bitches at work though because someone else will have to cover the front desk in the afternoon. But it is what it is and hopefully since we've all been getting along lately, it won't be a big deal.

FFTC: I don’t think the glucose test is too bad. I mean, I would never choose to drink it, but it doesn’t make me gag or anything. Same. I actually liked how my OB office in FL did it; they gave me the bottle in advance and told me to refrigerate it and drink it really cold. It was clear--not the orange stuff I had with B--and basically just tasted like flat Sprite.

chrisy01 I was able to run without support till about 30 weeks with landon, and then earlier each additional kid. With this one I stopped after my bleeding episode with this one and switched to inclines on the treadmill Or the elliptical. I’ve always had to stop because I get intense pubic bone pain each pregnancy. I’m not sure what the medical term is, but is basically feels like my pubic bone is cracking in two. Pregnancy is so fun!
