ap21ril - awesome response!!!! Good luck today! Keep us updated! orangehibiscus - FX that you're growing some beautiful follicles! I've been having hot flashes this cycle (which is a first), and man - these drugs can really create some nasty side effects!

Just finished our ultrasound. One follicle at a 21 on the left side (and 1 at like a 12 on my right). Going home now to trigger and then IUI tomorrow afternoon. I'll start progesterone Saturday night since my levels were low 7 days after O last cycle. This time, I am NOT testing until 13dpiui. Seriously going to make my husband hide all my tests...
Due to my DX, my RE would really like to see at least 2 mature follicles, so we will switch up the protocol a bit if not successful. Maybe a switch to clomid since my endo should be under control right now and I don't have an issue with lining.

Thanks wisco! Yay for a 21! Good luck with IUI tomorrow. Do you know what the protocol change will be? FX you won't need it!

wisco Crossing everything for you tomorrow! And I wish I had started the acupuncture at the beginning of our IUI treatments. Itβs a little bit like a last ditch Hail Mary for our last attempt, but Iβll take it if it could help.

Yay wisco ! Fingers crossed for you! I'm trying to wait until 13DPO as well, so maybe we can help each other? My self control is lacking quite a bit. jacks can you tell us what you think of acupuncture once you've done it? I've thought about it, but it's just one more cost in all of this so I haven't gone through with it, it would be nice to hear a first hand experience. IUI went well, I had ovulation like cramps all morning so should be good timing wise!

I had my monitoring US today, and I have 3 decent sized follicles: 2 on the right, and 1 on the left. They are measuring about 16.6mm, 16.3mm, and 15.5mm. They want to know if we want to trigger with 3 follicles. The two should definitely be ready to trigger, and the third is questionable, but may be a mature follicle. If it was just 2 follicles, we would trigger without hesitation. The possibility of 3 though makes us a bit nervous. I think the possibility of that third follicle being behind the other 2 is leaning is towards triggering. Even still, if we trigger, it doesn't mean that all 3 will fertilize. We have until tomorrow night to decide if we want to trigger or not.

Thanks ap21ril! Thanks jacks! Trigger is tomorrow evening 8-10pm. I asked if there would be another US, and was told no. H wants to do the trigger, so I imagine that's what we'll do. I might call the RE's PA and talk to her tomorrow.

orangehibiscus - Wow! What a response! It must feel great that things are definitely working after your previous cancelled cycles! Did you you trigger? I imagine it can feel like quite the dilemma. My doctor is always hoping I'll have two follicles, but has been clear that she would let us move ahead with three if we are comfortable with the small chance of what that could mean...but she's always like, "It's your decision!" Ahhhh. Sending your ALL the positive thoughts!

Yes wisco! Thank you. It does feel so good to have such an awesome response! I did trigger tonight, and I will start Progesterone on Sunday. I'm going to test out my trigger to see how long it lasts. I'm feeling very optimistic about this cycle!

orangehibiscus Wow that's so exciting! Having 3 mature size really increases your chances of success this cycle. Will you just keep testing after trigger is gone? wisco and ap21ril So glad IUIs went smoothly as planned. I hope you both have plenty to keep you distracted, just 8 days to go...

After years of IUI and IVF with the ex, it's so foreign to me that sex --> pregnancy.
We were humming along blissfully in our first month of TTC, until yesterday (CD 14) I had an almost positive OPK and some watery CM, and it got real. A tiny little disagreement messed with my head because I felt this pressure to make up and DTD in service of TTC (which is silly because in normal circumstances, we'd get past the argument instantly and have sex happily). DH also saw I felt that way so he rolled over to sleep and avoid pressuring me, I rolled over to stew on it. Feeling, among other crummy things, that if we don't DTD right then it means I am destined to be childless forever (not a terribly rational thinker late at night). At 2am I woke him up for an hour of hashing out our feelings and some mediocre sex.
It is even possible to TTC with TI after IF and not freak out about it? Is every FW going to be like this?? I want to keep things fun and light especially for him. Thank you for any insights you may have!

Thanks sunshiney! Yes, I will keep testing after my trigger is gone. I typically start testing at 10 DPO, so if the trigger is gone before that, then I will take a break from testing until 10 DPO. To answer your questions, I try not to think about sex for TTC purposes. I just want to have sex with MH, and it just so happens that he ejaculates inside of me instead of somewhere else. Try to get out of your head and just enjoy sex! Yes, it is possible to TTC with TI and not freak out, but that's up to you. You have to decide that your FW isn't going to be like that. Again, just try to enjoy the sex and not dwell on the fact that it is for TTC. Can be easier said than done sometimes. Good luck!

orangehibiscus Fingers crossed, lady! Sounds like everything is lining up!!! sunshiney I've definitely been there, and my level of anxiety is different every cycle...but long gone are the "we're making a baby and it is so magical" feelings during sex To be honest, I feel like this situation is harder for my husband since it is his time to "perform" so...without the risk of being an over sharer, I try to make it it a little more exciting for him during FW. Then he responds positively and it makes the whole thing feel more fun (like the good ol' days) and less business-like. I'll admit that we feel less pressure now that we also IUI...so intercourse just feels like the back-up plan.

I'm testing out my trigger, and the lines aren't very dark. Should they be? For those who have triggered, how light or dark were your lines?

orangehibiscus Thank you, you are so right, it will be what we decide to make of it...it's encouraging to hear that yes, people are able to just enjoy and not make a thing of it. Lol "instead of somewhere else..." wisco That is awesome advice. DH will appreciate it. At the risk of oversharing...recently when his pain meds really kicked in (he's recovering from back surgery) he shared something he'd be into that he had been too shy to tell me, well I am so down for it and spicing up FW is the perfect excuse to get over inhibitions and try something new!

orangehibiscusThe day of/after my trigger I get a medium dark like then it fades super quick from there. I usually test out 8 days after but the lines are all super faint from about 3 days past trigger.

Hey Guys- haven't been around to much to show support. I'm sorry. Last IUI was not successful and then my SIL announced she is pregnant. There is so much baggage and toxic family shit that goes along with that situation. Logically I know all the whatever's but have been paralyzed by my feelings lately. IF is such a shitty thing and I'm so glad I can lurk on you guys. π

You're welcome sunshiney. Have fun making your FW more enjoyable! Thanks wilmaroo. I was expecting a dark second line, but it was significantly lighter than I thought it should be. I'm so sorry your IUI wasn't successful and to have an announcement on top of that. That's so tough. IF sucks so much. Big giant hugs!
