katietopaz, Airline tickets are ridiculously expensive. I hope the airport isn't too bad when you are there...I've never flown during the holiday season, but I can imagine how busy it would be.

DD apparently decided that she wanted to sleep in my bed tonight. I heard coughing followed by Mommy. I go upstairs to see if she's ok, and she had puked in my bed. I think the first thing I'm going to do when I get up is buy a waterproof mattress cover. I put baking soda on the mattress and I'm really hoping that will get the smell out. Every bed in our house has a waterproof mattress cover. Full stop.

I just accidentally took my nighttime dose of diclegis (2 pills) instead of just 1. And I'm already so tired. I'm probably going to fall asleep at my desk, right?

I feel bad, like I should have spoilered my epi story. I don't want to scare anyone. My labor was bad (the epi part wasn't even the worst part) but is totally the outlier. Definitely not the norm at all! Focus on the good birth stories. I co sign this. And honestly those 13 hours with the epidural in were blissful. The bad part was just a blip.

Instead of going to the big kid's school's trunk or treat tonight due to weather & H's work schedule (he wouldn't get home until it was over half way over), I asked the big kid what he wanted to do instead. He said he wanted to dip bananas & strawberries into chocolate. Oh, okay. A & I ran to the store after he got on the bus and I pulled my fondue pots out. My mom and sister are going to come over (they were going to ToT with us, anyway) and I'm going to make quiche & salad for dinner, and then we're going to watch Cars 3 and have fondue. He's so excited. I'll be right over. This sounds delicious.

i'm sorry katietopaz , that sucks. we went back and forth for the last year with dd to see family and it really is just exhausting. hopefully the time you get to spend with family is at least enjoyable for you. I'm sorry you have to do the travel song and dance too. We've done it just about every year since we moved, since it's the only time we fly back each year, and it's exhausting but really good to see everyone. It's just hard on our kiddo to spend so much time on a plane and then in the car. Hopefully this year will be a little easier since he's a little older and we can try to talk him through the car time. Maybe next year you should "host" christmas and let whoever wants to, come to you. I would so much rather host than travel.

Welp, I gained 4 lbs in the last 3 weeks. Guess I shouldn't have indulged in that cheesecake last night after all ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I am being the laziest of lazy today. We slept in, then watched an episode of GOT (season 7, episode 4, almost caught up!). MH went to a friend’s new house to help them move in and I went back to sleep for a while. I feel a little bit bad, but I told myself I’m making up for all the days over the past couple months I spent nodding off at work.
Not much to do today, although I should probably go out and rip out my annuals and trim back the perennials bc it SNOWED this morning.

I have been telling myself I need to trim back the perennials as well. Maybe Monday since I work this weekend.

I’m finally almost over the plague I had and now I’ve got a migraine. Literally the worst part of pregnancy for me is not being able to take migraine meds.

I wish when my OB said my NT results were normal, I hadn’t looked at the actual numbers. It looks like my HCG was at the top of normal levels and my PAPP-A levels are on the lower end of normal - I ended up with 1:740 risk for DS. I’m trying to remember that translates to .0013% which sounds a lot better. I know this is not a big deal, especially compared to what other people have been through, but pregnancy makes my anxiety rage and I spiraled on google. I’m going to ask my OB about what other noninvasive tests we can do/what my insurance will cover. Hopefully she’ll just tell me to call the fuck down.

If you haven’t read Amy Poehler’s book Yes Please, pregnancy is a weirdly good time to read (or listen to!) it. She talks a lot about being a mom and pregnancy very candidly and it’s sweet and hilarious.

smilesp i hope your migraine goes away soon! Leaf 🌱 i hope you can get some reassurance from your ob soon. it's great that we get all this extra testing now, but i feel like the more info we get just creates too much anxiety sometimes it's been in the 30s the last 3 days here and the dusting of snow we got friday is still here. no idea when we'll get to finish yard work. also i'm pretty sure dd has hfmd, no idea where she got it but it's annoying and i'm hoping h and i don't come down with it too. we were supposed to make halloween sugar cookies at one grandma's this morning and have a halloween party with cousins at the other grandmas tonight, so that's not happening and i'm bummed. i got some laundry done, prepped dinner, and have apple crisp in the oven now. not sure what we'll do the rest of the day.

Leaf 🌱, When is your next appointment? I hope your dr can give you some reassurance. polson, I hope your DD feels better. Sorry your plans got canceled. I think we might take DD to the zoo today. It'll give her a chance to run around after being stuck in the house all week.

Leaf 🌱, before the genetic counselor reviewed out NT blood work with us, she showed us a chart based on age what the risk factor was. The factor in the blood work and NT u/s measurements, the risk just went down. And yes, translating to percent instead of ratio helped a lot.

I am feeling nauseous again. Ugh I'm so sick of this. I think I'm going to switch to the gummy prenatals and see if that helps.
It's been pouring all day so our parade was postponed until next weekend. I'm disappointed but at the same time, definitely did not feel like cleaning.

polson auri gldnbearz my next appointment is Tuesday so hopefully my OB is prepared for ten billion questions 😂 I’m just holding on to the idea that this is not diagnostic and if it was, I did receive a “normal/low risk” assessment. I also compared all the number to DD’s and her numbers were all high-normal but I didn’t even look at them.

My pregnancies tend to have three distinct stages: Terribly sick, Astoundingly enormous, both.
I’ve definitely gotten to the enormous stage this week. I already need help off the couch and the rude stranger comments have started. I feel like I look 7 months pregnant, it’s insane.

I want to know when this annoying morning sickness will be over. I'm 16 weeks and if I forget to take my zofran in the morning, I still spend the day vomiting. I don't remember it lasting this long with DD. :/

I'm jealous of all of you that "morning sickness" eventually lessens/disappears for. I've gotten it sooner with each pregnancy (7 weeks, then 6, & 4.5 this time) and it lasts until the baby is removed from my body 😞😭

I usually get like 7-10 better-ish weeks right in the middle but I’m constantly on meds and constantly nauseated. I usually lose a bunch of weight at first, it’s all exhausting. With my last pregnancy the last time I vomited was as they were doing my section. I’m on my third as well. I manage to forget how awful it is every time.
