Good morning ladies! I need to be better about catching up in the evening and not in the morning. All of yesterday’s Halloween candy talk has me sitting on the couch eating candy corn and it’s only 7:45 am.

I have my appointment with the new OB today... H is going, he hasn’t had the opportunity to go to many appointments since his commute was 1 1/2 hours (or more) each way. We realized the other day the new one is 2 blocks from his work, so he’s happy to finally get involved. When I was pregnant with DD2 he was able to go to anything and everything (he had 5!weeks of vacation plus sick time) and he even got 12 weeks of 100% paid leave when she was born. He changed jobs so that we can afford for me to stay home and he’s miserable in every way possible. The company only gives 2 weeks off a year and a few sick days... even though he’s been trying to save his time, he only has 8 days to take off when Jack is born. (Another reason if really like a VBAC). I think this post is proof that I have ADD, I find it hard to stay on topic.

+1 to wearing the same work outfits all the time. I had to make sure I wore something different this week for my pic so I wouldn't have to hear it from my mom lol

I think I might have already worn the shirt I have on today earlier this week but I honestly can't remember for sure. At this point, I am calling just being dressed period a win.

Yeah, my husband keeps joking I'm going to be in a Homer Simpson muumuu any day now. Shirts are okay, pants are not great, I still don't really like dresses because I don't want to/can't actually sit like a lady.

Nothing really fits anymore, so I've mostly been wearing t-shirts with a sports bra and sweatpants or leggings. The t-shirts ride up and show my belly halfway through the day. Honey badger don't care. I'm exhausted. I had contractions all night long and am still having some lighter ones now. I may ask my OB to do a check on Tuesday so I'm not paranoid for the next few weeks (or am paranoid lol). Overall, I have had more hours of contractions with this child than I did during labor with DS. Not cool, kiddo/body. ETA GBS came back negative, which is good because I have feeling my labor & delivery is going to be speedy. Also, we got our new dishwasher installed today! So exciting

Wowza grumpycat, probably a good idea to get a check, although it doesn't reeeeally mean anything, still worth knowing if your contractions are doing anything! Yay for GBS negative, one less thing to think about. Also yay for a new dishwasher! My mom just told me that my aunt's family doesn't have a dishwasher, and I was totally baffled, they have two great paying government jobs etc, and two teenagers, how do they live?!

Had a nice day.
Couple hours at this massive soft play area with H and DS. Very surprised I didn't get any "oh wow when are you due" comments from anyone as the place was quite busy at one point. Had a nice hot chocolate with sweeteners because of the 'mild' GD.
We tided up our bedrooms dressing table which was full of crap when DS napped, then we both squeezed in half an hour snooze before my Nan woke us up by knocking on the front door. Luckily it was time for DS to get up (and us) so I didn't mind. FaceTimed with my parents.
And just finished a little snack while DS had tea as we are having Indian food take out after he's in bed.
New season of modern family tonight, wooo
We are going to take a walk in the morning through the woods (I will waddle slowly behind) and then mainly do a lot of cleaning in the afternoon, like things that I can't reach so I'll ask H to do lol

The teenagers wash the dishes probably! My in laws do not use their dishwasher all that often. Yea, the check is mostly for peace of mind. I've mentioned the contractions at my last few appointments and I also have increased movement/pressure by my cervix, so I think it's time for a peek. I was going to wait until 37 weeks, but these contractions are making me batty.

We don't have a dishwasher either. DH's main priority when we go to renovate the kitchen is to install one since he does all the dishes.

grumpycat, snuff9861, I know I'm pretty spoiled talking about dishwashers, but you think at some point in the like 20 years they've been in their house they would have gotten to it. I've also heard people say they like washing dishes by hand too, so what do I know! I guess you just get used to it after awhile.

Did our hospital tour tonight (very last minute, haha) and filled out baby's birth certificate info which was exciting. Guess we aren't going back on the name now! You can fill out a birth certificate ahead of time?!?! Seems crazy! Yes! It's very convenient. They just wait to fill in the info they need for after birth and send it in for you.

I'm so over dressing myself for work. I wish I had a shirt for my current school so I could get away with wearing a frumpy t-shirt on Fridays. I'm wearing a polo with the name of the high school I was at last year on it. Fun fact though, that school recently discovered bed bugs and everyone is crapping their pants over it. So I'm fully prepared to have kids try to tell me I have bed bugs today. But I'm comfy, so I don't GAF. Scrubs for the win. I love wearing essentially pjs to work. And I just wear plain maternity Ts since I can't squeeze into a scrub shirt to save my life. No lie, I've thought about buying a few pairs of black or gray scrubs and wearing to school. No shame in my game.

Today is the gestational age DS was when he was born. Even though I've had no signs of preterm labor, I've been mentally bracing myself all day for the dam to bust, so to speak.
If I can make it past today, and make it past next Thursday (DD's GA) my brain has decided that I can definitely make it to 37wks.

So, I did a dumb thing today that almost resulted in tears. I decided I was going to get Panda Express for lunch, planned out my "healthy" choices and got in the drive thru lane. It took 20 fucking minutes to get up to order and as I am ordering I reached into my purse only to remember that my wallet was sitting on my desk, at work. Fuck fuck fuckity fuck. I wasted nearly an hour for nothing.
So I ordered take out from the WAY less "healthy" chinese place near my work. I plan to eat every bit of it. And when my blood sugar is high later, oh well. In four weeks I have been over exactly once. We're taking one for the team today.

I can't stop thinking about the chili and cornbread I have for lunch today. It turned out so good and I am probably going to make it again next week. The cornbread was just Trader Joe's mix, and the chili was this recipe. I added kidney beans because I am not about that paleo life. And fuck no to the fish sauce that was suggested. Fish sauce makes me want to die even when not pregnant. nomnompaleo.com/2017/05/23/2017052320170523instant-pot-ground-beef-chili

36 weeks today. Every week I think I'm going to finish up some final things for her arrival but yet I don't. Maybe this week will be the one.

So the raccoon knocked the bird feeder off the side of the porch, 7ft drop or so, but it doesn't look like he broke it lol. Also found a bird's nest that must have fallen out of a tree in our yard. Thankfully there were not any babies or eggs in it. I showed it to DS and he was very interested. We have a decent amount of wildlife where we live and I try to nurture an appreciation of it. thatgolfb, mmmmm cornbread. I am craving all Thanksgiving foods today since it's Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend! I make this cornbread casserole that is so yummy. My FIL does a theme every year for Thanksgiving and this year it's a "Southern" theme. Give me ALL of the cornbread, grits, mac n cheese, etc. I'll be breastfeeding so I will totally need all those calories

So my appointment was okay... the doctor was okay... I’m I felt okay when I got there... but I was nauseous within 5 minutes and barely made it to the restroom before I started puking. They have 1 bathroom... I asked for one of those puke bags since people are constantly in and out of the bathroom... it took almost 10 minutes for them to find one... I thought that was a little weird... pregnant women (especially 1st trimester) get sick. They already had my records so that was good. I was annoyed that the doctor came in, introduced herself to me, H and DD2 and then said “so I was told you’re interested in a c-section”. I got a little hopeful, I asked if a VBAC was an option and she reiterated what I had previously been told, that office does not do VBACs and I’d have to go to an office and hospital much further away. I let her know that while I wasn’t interested in a c-section, it seems it’s my only option, so... she then went on to discuss all the added risks with multiple c-sections and how it really better to avoid if possible. Fuck you. I’m just feeling super defeated at this point and I don’t feel well. Baby day is 11/14 unless I go into labor before then. I don’t have a time, just a day. I was supposed to get the whooping cough vaccine and flu shot today, but I was so nauseous I asked to wait. Leaving for Dallas tomorrow and I really hope I’m feeling better.

I’m 34w today. I want to get everything done this weekend so I can just relax for the rest of this pregnancy- I need to make a few freezer meals, finish finding/cleaning all of the baby gear, and fill out forms for FMLA and breast pump. We also have like 4 boxes from our move that need to be unpacked and organized. Should be doable, right? I just need to be careful because my back pain and contractions flare up with activity. I did too much last night and I was literally crying in bed with position changes because my back hurt so badly.

grumpycat I will need that cornbread casserole recipe, please. I love that stuff. I've made one with cornmeal, creamed corn, Greek yogurt, and I forget what else. Well, I know what is going on my meal plan for next week.
