Gaston was my favorite part of the new version. I'm not sure what that says about me. He's an awesome character. Like a terrible person lol but so much fun.

Guys ... DH keeps buying Halloween candy. It wasn't bad when he bought stuff I didn't like, but now he's buying chocolate. I've been doing ok with weight gain; however, not sure I have the self control for this!

Have we discussed the Owlet? I was hell bent on getting it, but now I’m waffling. Anyone have it? I’ve done so much research and it’s not helping me make a decision. We just got one last week. H desperately wanted one because he's the world's biggest worrier. No other advice, sorry.

fancy I've heard mixed reviews that it gives a lot of false readings. I'd be afraid that it would worry me unnecessarily. It used to go under th3 mattress. There's a new version out that wears like a sock. We got the newer one so hopefully that's not an issue.

As soon as I do I will be nonstop grazing as I walk by the kitchen pantry.

That's the only way I don't eat it all every year. This year we have a good excuse not to buy any- we moved to the country and get zero kids. So I think I'll save my $$ and not buy any.

It's only 630pm and I can barely keep my eyes open. I'm so exhausted. I want juice badly too, and we're out. Maybe I'll go raid my.moms fridge.

So DS3 is allergic to dogs (which we have), cats (not an issue), and mold (also not an issue). So now we have to work on removing the carpet in the bedrooms, doing a deep clean, getting HEPA air purifiers for every room, figure out how to keep the dog out of the rooms (not an issue during the day, but it is at night), and a whole new skin regimen. I don’t have the energy for this and my body just can’t physically handle all that labor. I’m tired just thinking about it all.

So H does stories at the beginning of bedtime and then I sit with her the second half for a bit. He's notorious for snacking while I'm with E at that point. He made himself two big bowls of chips. I went to grab some, asking if there were some left. He said there's another bag in the pantry, because of course he left the empty bag on the counter six inches from the garage. I open it and it's all crumbs. I grumble at him and don't get anything else because I'm mad about my lack of chips and cheese. He responds with "well this is mostly crumbs anyways" while trying to show me the bite he's about to take. Uh, that doesn't make it any better that you had two helpings and I had zero, ass. He did the EXACT same thing last week with ice cream too. I'm implementing a no snacking rule until we're both downstairs because he's clearly using his ten minutes to eat whatever snack leftovers we have without having to share. Bro, I'm mutherfuckin nine months pregnant. GTFO with being a snack thief who's intentionally not sharing with said pregnant wife. I'll fight you.

Did our hospital tour tonight (very last minute, haha) and filled out baby's birth certificate info which was exciting. Guess we aren't going back on the name now!

librarylady I am way behind so I apologize for my late questions. Will your DD not be able to visit you in the hospital? We are keeping DD on her school/day care schedule but she will also be able to visit while I'm in the hospital. Yeah unfortunately she won't be able to visit while I'm at the hospital our hospital doesn't let anybody under 12 visit from October to march because of flu and rsv. It's just going to make an already difficult transitional time even more difficult, but I get it.

It never occurred to me that they may not allow DS to come to the hospital. I probably need to check on that. I will be sad if he can't come visit and meet his brother. Apparently my hospital usually starts the ban on December 1 but this year flu and rsv is popping up so early that they are starting it October 1.

bethers this is why I haven't bought us any candy yet. We would 100% eat it all before Halloween, so it would be pointless. I'll have to wait until like the day before to get our stash.

Oh also. I had an nst today and the nurse and midwife we're just freaking out about how much baby girl was moving. She is very, very active. They called her a "wild child" I'm so curious to see what that means about her when she is born. DD1 wasn't that active and was breech, and then she didn't end up crawling or even really rolling until she was 12 months.

DS was VERY active in utero and only stops when he's asleep. He's a good sleeper though so eh lol. I routinely heard "this is the most active 3X weeker I've seen all week!" It's a good time though

I missed a few steps climbing down the tractor ladder this evening (it was dark) and now my crotch/pelvis/lower back is killing me. I am so sore. I must have severely over stretched it. I want to take a bath but having one so late at night always throws off my night sleep ( not that I really sleep anyways!). I think I'll try a heating pad first.

Rant warning
So I help admin a local BF group and the amount of inaccurate information and responses without reading or having enough information is unreal.
Today there was a post where the poster tried 8-10 (I can’t remember) bottles with their 4mo. Every single comment was about a different bottle to try. 30+ comments about a different bottle for her to buy and hope her kid would take. I tried to ask questions to get guidance from the OP, but bottle recommendations kept being posted, 5 in maybe 2 minutes. So I tried to stop the comments by asking everyone to stop with the bottle suggestions until she came back but they kept coming and with links for bottles. I finally had to shut off comments when things were being suggested that go against the 1st guideline in our group.
Some gal measaged me about how I was taking away her freedom of speech. ::facepalm:: Fact based group run by a group of ladies with actual credentials and training for coaching different breastfeeding situations. I had to direct her to the part about how sometimes we have to moderate posts when they are getting derailed.
Seriously though, her right to free speech was being taken away by mean ol’ me. I wanted to reply “who cares about your feelings. This baby isn’t eating for 7-8 hours a day while Mom is working and your feelings are hurt. STFU”
If you made it this far, you deserve a cookie or 15g of carbs of your choosing for the GD ladies.

bubbles I'm sorry, I know how hard it is when older adults stick their ground about living independently. Are there independent living facilities around where he lives? Its not the level of assisted living, but he will still be checked on daily and there are activities/amenities. His local meals on wheels is another option for at least someone to check on him daily if he is completely unwilling to move. I've worked with homebound older adults and FWIW, most do better (live longer, healthier, and happier) living independently as long as they are safe in their homes and have accommodations (nursing care, food, companion phone calls, transportation, etc) set up. It's more complicated for the family but there are definitely organizations that can help walk you through the process. Look into his local area agency on aging. They usually can send a case worker out who will do an assessment and provide resources. Thank you for the info. We had social services in today and will have an assessment set up in the next week or so. He has mentioned wanting to move closer (he's currently 3 hrs from me) so I think that may be our end goal. As persistent as he has been about not leaving his home, he has also expressed some anxiety about staying alone. Either way, I support his wishes as long as he is safe.

We have a bird feeder sitting on our back porch that needs to be put back up. I can hear a raccoon desperately trying to figure out how to get the bird seed out. I caught him last night in it too. I think he just pushed it down the porch stairs lmao.

I'm so over dressing myself for work. I wish I had a shirt for my current school so I could get away with wearing a frumpy t-shirt on Fridays. I'm wearing a polo with the name of the high school I was at last year on it. Fun fact though, that school recently discovered bed bugs and everyone is crapping their pants over it. So I'm fully prepared to have kids try to tell me I have bed bugs today. But I'm comfy, so I don't GAF.

This has been one of my favorite things about working from home - not wedging myself into dress clothes and shoes every day. Last time, I worked until I was overdue - and it was winter, so I was wearing maternity stockings and tights. so I feel your pain.

And I just wear plain maternity Ts since I can't squeeze into a scrub shirt to save my life.
