Oh and I woke to at least five false alarms. Little boy keeps farting like it's his job, two days now and no poop. When it comes it will be terrible!

J has gone 4 days without a poop twice and it was monstrous both times. Also I'm sorry you keep falling asleep foe motn feedings. Can you and your H switch off during the night? I'm working on 5 hours of very broken sleep a night because of all our night feedings and it sucks so I feel your pain

+whatever to allergies. I first got them when I moved here 9 years ago, then the last couple falls I didn't get them at all, which was wonderful, and this year they are back full force.
Also, I play on my phone to stay awake. But then Half the time I can't fall asleep after I've put him down! Bc of reflux I hold him up for half an hour after we finish eating so I try to relax but not fall asleep and I end up being awake for a lot longer than a quick feeding. And he snoozes away and wakes up in three hours to eat but that means like an hour of sleep for me. Ugh. He's doing one good stretch for us but it's been in the late evening lately - sleeps from like 8/9 til 1. Well we use that time to make dinner and so then I usually end up going to bed not before 10, closer to 11, and then only getting like 2 hours. Last night DH sent me to bed at 9, I woke up at 12, and it was 3 glorious hours.

It sucks

Holy hell. J has never been a good sleeper but the 6 week sleep regression/growth spurt is kicking my butt. I'm looking forward to my parentsbeing here just so they can hold him while I get some work done.
I officially put in to take off 14 weeks instead of 12 and I may go 16. I can't leave DH with a cranky baby like this.

I never cared so much about bowel movements until I had a kid.
We took T for a PT evaluation since she seems to be weaker with her right leg. Her doctor didn’t really want to give me a referral at R’s one month appointment, but it was the plan for T at her three year appointment if she didn’t improve over the summer. She’s going to start weekly PT, so I feel vindicated. I’m pretty sure H thought it wasn’t needed, but the therapist recognized all the concerns I had. So, now we have to fit that into our schedules, plus she wants us to do home exercises for five minutes every hour. Hopefully, H will be more on board now that the therapist said what to do because I was the only one doing them after her three year appointment.

My husband is amazing. He saw how tired I was and took j for an hour long drive while I slept. I needed that hour so badly and didn't think I would sleep but I dis. I slept, woke up, had 10 more minutes so did dishes and cleaned up the house a bit. Dh said J slept the entire ride which is awesome too. J needed the sleep as much as I dis. I feel bad because #su needs sleep too but he said he got around 6.5 or 7 hours last night and I only got 4.5 or 5 so whew. I'm glad he did that for me
Tomorrow is my 6 week p.p appointment an hour away. I think we are all going. One of us will drive up so thebotjer can sleep then we will switch foe the way home so we each get an extra hour of sleep . I think that's a good plan. Maybe sleeping longer for this nap will help J too.

Do you put baby downasleep or awake? When they wake up soon after being put down do you get the immediately or let them cry a few minutes? Should I be letting j cry to see if he falls back to sleep? When do you try to put baby down awake? I'm struggling withbthese 1 hour naps guys . There has to be something I'm doing wrong or something I can do better. I wish he would sleep in cribor PNP for naps but he won't. He's also eating sooooi much food the last 2 days.

Well she has been napping a lot in the swing so essentially putting her down awake but still with a rocking swing so not great. My plan is to start trying for naps in the crib but after she has her shots because I want to see how that goes first. I do let her fuss for a few before getting her because sometimes she does go back to sleep. We do have days here too when she barely naps but then other days where it's like sleeping more than ever so no real rhyme or reason it seems Do you have a swing? I wonder if he would like the motion

bsouls I’m glad T is getting the PT. What were the signs you noticed? When filling out the ASQ for her appointments - she can’t walk up stairs alternating feet and she always uses her left leg to lead. She also was late at learning to jump. And, we notice that compared to other kids she can’t run as fast or jump as well. She has pronation of the feet (feet tilt inwards) and her PMD said we’d wait until age 5 or do to be referred for orthotics, but they’re going to address her weak ankles in PT.

I wish he would sleep in cribor PNP for naps but he won't. He's also eating sooooi much food the last 2 days. Maybe he's going through a growth spurt - which could explain the fact he's been eating so much more and is fussy and not sleeping long? We used to put D. in bed asleep but that is no longer working as she doesn't fall asleep while/after nursing as often no more. We're sort of struggling with the same as you do (at least during the day). Last week I read somewhere it was "better" to put baby in bed while still (half) awake. Something about falling asleep in one place then waking up in another startling them and making it harder for them to fall back asleep for another sleep cycle, so they'd only sleep for one sleep cycle at a time instead of make longer stretches. Made sense to me in a way, I would freak out as well if I fell asleep on the couch but woke up in bed? Anyway so now I usually wait till she's sleepy then put her down, put on her white noise and/or music box, and hope for the best. Unfortunately even if she does fall asleep she wakes up and starts crying 5 minutes later. If tis just some wimpering I'll wait and see whether she soothes herself but usually it goes from a peep to screaming for real within half a minute. There haven't been a lot of naps during day time as of late...

king26 We put R down awake. Does J take a pacifier? If R is fussing or crying then I put the pacifier in and put white noise on - I will keep popping the pacifier in as she tried to fall asleep. I’ll pick her up and see if she needs to burp (if I think that might be it) and then put her back down. We leave the white noise all night long and mostly for naps. We move between the swing and crib for naps. If she’s not happy in one, then I move to another. If she don’t settle and she should nap, then I put her on her belly with the pacifier and pat her back until she sleeps or until I move her to try something else. T liked to nap in the snugga pup which is more upright or on her belly - she hated the swing. So, every baby is different. Maybe your parents will be able to find something that works or at least validate that J is fussy (and, give you guys a break) and you’ll know you’re doing your best.

Add me to the constant pooping club. At least 4 a day, minimum. Today I took her to the grocery store just to grab a couple of things and the second we got into the store she had a huge blow out. It was so bad that she had to get a bath when we got home and I had to wash the infant insert from her car seat. Right after I bathed her and got her dressed she pooped again. Ridiculous.

king26, M is not a very good napper either. She tends to nap for 15-20 minutes at a time. It's super frustrating because it does make it so difficult to get anything done. Today she napped for an hour and a half and it was great, I got so much accomplished. But then she did not sleep for the rest of the day, so...🤷

This happened to me too yesterday, huge blowout through her clothes and all when we were out lol. I need to start keeping track of how many a day but probably 6 or so. I'm starting to worry she might have milk allergy or intolerance but everything I have googled says it's pretty rare

That helps with getting thru the day more or less in one piece.

Ugh we are in the middle of yet another crappy autumn storm with loads of rain. Poor H who has to bike to work heh. Good thing there is something like raingear.. I am disappointed too tho cause I had wanted to take D out for a walk later. I have a rain cover for her stroller bassinet but with this heavy rain and gusts of wind I doubt it will keep her dry for real..
