I'm eating speculaas biscuits. I don't think it's a flavour you girls know, but know a lot of you girls would love it. ETA I just checked amazon, you can buy the cookies and the spices to make your own there, did not expect that! ETA 2 I just finished my 5th cookie somebody stop me. They sell them here, so yummy! Have you ever had cookie butter? That’s made with those cookies.

My grandma got her results for last week's catscan. Not good. She has 6 months if this new treatment works. But likely less. My mom is a wreck. She has new tumors and her existing one that had shrunk last time, is 400% bigger. It's only been 3 months since her last scan so it grew fast and aggressively.

I survived back to school night but barely. It was so hot. I don't think I have ever been that hot in my entire life. Now I have big fat swollen toes that feel like the weigh 100 pounds each. The only question parents asked was "is it always this hot?" DH was kind enough to say the dress I wore made me look like the baby was due yesterday. His thoughtful of him.

Are you allowed window air units or fans? Window units have to be installed by the board. I was suppose to get one 2 years ago when I had a child who had 4 open heart surgeries. I'm still waiting. I have a fan but it is not enough for the size of the room. Even once outside cools down, it takes weeks for inside to catch up.

Hi. The trampoline park was...not open. Despite their website saying 10-9, they open at 3 on Tuesdays. So we called an audible and went to a nearby inflatables/bounce house place, where my friend proceeded to buy a week long pass...and then her child refused to go on any of the structures. :sad trombone: I think we were both surprised b/c she is normally a very...ahem, spirited? little girl. I felt bad bc the whole thing was my idea, and B was having a ball while my friend just sat there trying (unsuccessfully) to coax her kid into doing something. Dude would totally do this. The slightest change of plans and his attitude nosedives. Yeah I think it was more that she was scared(?) Her mom kept trying to get her into the various structures and after going only a few feet, she'd flip and insist on getting out. She's really not a timid kid so we were scratching our heads a bit. Oh well.

The town i work in is in a big levy battle over rebuilding the schools to add air. It's insane the people that are fighting it.

One elementary school was built about 10 years ago and has full AC. Most buildings are 75 years old or olde. I work in an addition to one middle school that was built in the 90's so there was really no excuse for my wing not to have air. Last winter I had no heat for 6 weeks.

There has to be laws that state when it's not safe to be at school. Ours had 90 degrees and/or humidity % and they sent us home.

I kick the idea around once in awhile. I might decide to do it in 2019. Unlikely, but not completely out of the question. I feel overwhelmed as it is, I don't know how I will manage with another baby. My primary hesitation is that are even though we'll be paying for daycare for two (Dude will be going to Transitional Kindergarten) I still clear another $1,300 take home each month after paying their tuition. The other concern is that Pete could do PPO, but he really prefers HMO for himself and the kids. If I quit carrying my own insurance, I can't go to HMO because I'll lose access to the specialists I have now. I don't want to start over with new doctors.
