Sorry to keep you ladies waiting! We got to the hospital at 10 central, it's now midnight and I'm finally feeling settled. It's just been a parade of medical people through here, already on nurse #2 so had to re- answer a bunch of questions etc. Also we've already had a dramatic episode where they couldn't find baby's heartbeat on the monitor, nothing like 2 doctors quietly looking at an ultrasound to freak you out....turns out she's just as far back from the monitor as she can be. Thanks, baby!
They started me right on pitocin an hour ago, that's a change from last time when I had cervidil (sp?) for 12h so fx this goes quicker than DD1's 24h induction! It's actually decently quiet here too -- no screaming neighbours -- so I'm going to try to doze before the contractions get worse.
I totally cried putting DD to bed before we left, it's weird being away from her but I'm trying not to think about that too much. I hope she's not too much of a pain for MIL in the morning, hopefully the novelty of grandma being there will help.

GDI, i hate being asked to rate pain on a scale of 1-10. I said 5, nurse seemed surprised, so now I'm like...IS it a 5??

seventythree So excited for you! Love the last bump pic! I'll be checking here for updates while everyone else is sleeping  I also hate the question of putting pain on a 1-10 scale. I'm really bad that for some reason.

Oh and I was totally emotional putting DD down last night too. I miss her so bad already. Ready for this baby to arrive so I can hold them both in my arms!

6.5 hours into pitocin, and the epidural is in! Wheeeee, I can't feel my legs!
Nobody has done a cervical check yet, which seems a little weird....they said it's because I was 2cm at my appointment and I don't feel an urge to push. I mean whatever, not like I'm wanting people to be up in my business, it's just different from last time.

I was finally checked at some point and was 4cm. They just came in to see if they could break my water and baby is still too high. Said they would check again in a few hours. Ugh, I am miserable. This kid keeps moving off the monitor, I tried to sleep post-epi but I was woken a LOT. My head hurts, not sure if it's lack of sleep or food or both. I'm a little anxious that things seem to be going slowly, nobody seems concerned though. /end rant
On another note, MIL texted H this am asking how to turn off the baby monitor. I just....wow. There are 2 big buttons on the front, it's really not that high tech.
