I'm starting to get concerned about M's rash. I thought it was heat rash but it keeps spreading. If it hits her legs I'm going to take her in. I thought it was gastro but the bad diapers/throwing up only lasted a day whereas the discomfort and fever lasted three and a half. The rash didn't show up until after the symptoms (and sweating) subsided. One time DS1 had a random rash on his arms and his knees. He had a slight fever for one night and the rash showed up after the fever broke. The pedi said it was probably a viral thing like HFM. Is that a possibility?

Between the eczema, MSPI, allergies, and being generally sensitive to everything she has a rash All. The. Time. I'm sure it's viral and not serious. But playing "what's this red mark" is getting old. What will fix it this time? Hydrocortisone cream? Benadryl? Cornstarch? A rain dance facing the north while a southwestern breeze blows across her bare bottom?

The rain dance is probably your best bet here though. You probably need to learn how to play the harmonica as well, you know, just to be safe.

I ask because when I took B in for his weird rash, the pedi said *generally* if they are acting fine and not bothered it's not something to be too concerned about. But I know with the allergies and the sensitive skin it's hard not to worry. If it will give you peace of mind I think you should take her in. I did!

So DS1 did a ton better in the afternoon class. Drop off was still rough but she said it didn't long for him to calm down and he was fine the rest of the day. He did recess, snack and art all without issue. She even put some stickers in his folder as a reward! Hopefully this keeps up and he keeps doing well in the afternoon class.

Thank goodness you're ok kleigh! Glad the babies weren't in the car! You will need to replace AV's car seat. We replaced O's when my H got into a wreck.

Omg kleigh! I'm glad you're ok! If you are a little sore today, you will probably feel it more tomorrow. It might be useful to go get checked out. I assume by now you've talked to yours and/or their insurance company so hopefully you have that figured out. That is so so scary. I hope you are taking it easy now. Also, what kind of douche goes on the highway with anything unsecured in a truck!!?!

Omg kleigh, I'm glad you're ok but please get checked out if you think you need it! tgrimes, I can't... too much cuteness! TTMA your "tribe" I feel like outside you ladies, my BFF (and L's legal guardian should something happen to DH and I) and my mom! I don't have a circle of IRL mom friends. I did in Seattle but not here!?!

Her ears are fine, her throat is clear. Last high temp was Monday night. She has been incredibly sweaty the last few days and we load her up with cream to keep her eczema in check so maybe it's just blocked pores? So I guess that'd be heat rash. Idk. I have her coated in calamine and sleeping in just her diaper. If it's the same or worse in the morning I'll be taking your and tgrimes advice and bring her in.

Thank you for this. Just read through. Called my insurance and filed a claim but his insurance hasn't contacted me yet. So I'm debating what will be the fastest and easiest in terms of my needs: car seat replaced, rental car, car repaired or replaced, medical bills paid, possibly $$ for lost trip if we don't go tomorrow (hotel was prepaid in advance and no refunds given),

I did in Seattle but not here!?! Same here. I had them back in PA but no such luck here. M's music class is especially painful because it's mostly toddlers and the moms all know each other. There was a new family there today and when the mom said something to me I actually looked behind me to see who she was talking to. And then I turned bright red and died inside. Making friends as an adult has proven to be next to impossible for me.

starbuck and hangry It's hitting me now. I'd say about ~4hours after I started with headache, pain between my two shoulder blades, and an achy jaw and shoulder. I think part of what's gonna affect me is hat I "braced" when the pallet came flying off and I couldn't get in another lane, so I tensed up and hunched my head and shoulders- so I wasn't in a fluid position when I was hit by the pallet or other car. Oh btw. They weren't pallets. They were MFing solid wood fence panels. I googled this guy and he owns a fence company in our town. So like, not a one off mistake that the average joe made coming from Home Depot. This guy has transported these things since 1982... MFer. I can deal with the physical discomfort at the moment. Emotionally, thats another story. I used to have crippling anxiety/panic attacks/mild generalized depression back in 2007/2008. I worked really hard to break through that and did with both a therapist, medication, and self help/behavioral work. And just like that I feel the panic coming back, I don't want to get in another car, or on the highway like ever again. I need to find a therapist stat so I'll be doing that first thing in the morning.
