My house is a semi disaster and we try to get a few small projects done around the house. By we I mean H because I'm not really contributing much other than directions.
On the episode of the Great British Baking show that I watched last night they made churros which is pretty impossible to make well GF. 😢So that's what I'm craving, I'm probably going to make muffins this morning which is a poor substitute.

I'm off to get a pedicure this morning. But mostly because I can't reach my toenails to cut them anymore. Also getting a haircut because I assume it's probably going to be the last time for just a little while! May enjoy some shopping at target later too. Kind of nice just to have the day to myself. Might be the last one for a while!

+1 to the Great British Bake Off being a risky show to watch while pregnant! It's one of the few decent English shows we get over here, and I always crave baked good after watching it!
Super busy start to the weekend for us. DS had a school friend's birthday party today, which was super super fun. They did a safari/wild animal theme - complete with a treasure hunt and a tiger piñata. DS is the worst piñata hitter ever. He took the stick and basically just tapped it lightly on the Tiger when it was his turn 😂...then he totally lost interest while the other kids were going bonkers attacking the thing. He only grabbed 2 tiny pieces of candy when the thing busted open too. So funny!
After that, we had another party to go to, which was a huge potluck garden party. I sat that one out - too much action for this pregnant lady! DS and DH represented the family and are now exhausted. Both will sleep well tonight.
Tomorrow morning DH goes to the doctor to see if his burns are 3rd degree and require surgery. I sure hope not 🤞🤞I changed the dressings twice today and I really can't tell if it's a bad 2nd or a 3rd. Guess we'll find out soon enough. Now we're just joking that DH cooked himself 😅😅

Hi! I think we are going to browse Halloween decorations today. DS loves the animatronic monsters. Then I want to look at some houses for sale. We sold our house back in June and long story we still have yet to purchase.

IKEA shopping this morning to get a dresser, bookshelf, and end table for the nursery! We're stealing the crib from DS' room since DS has never slept in it, lol.
My little sister is taking the LSAT this morning! She's studied so hard for it for months and has been doing very well on her practice exams, so hopefully she rocks it today.
I decided last night that DS and #2 will be Mario and Luigi for Halloween. DS recognizes Mario because DH is a gamer, and I can mostly use normal clothes for the outfits (minus the hats, which I ordered on Etsy). Hopefully the stuff I got for #2 fits him come Halloween, because who knows when he'll be born and how much he'll weigh by then lol.

I'm in a funny limbo where I've felt the rush to get the nursery all set up for a while now, but because of the imminent move I actually don't really need most of it set up. Like, I can take down the crib, pack up probably most of the 6 month clothes that I had in lower drawers of the dresser, repaint back to a normal color (which isnt an issue because my walls are STILL 3 paint samples on the wall), the blackout curtains I bought I don't have to hang in the nursery since she wont be sleeping in there...ever. Its just odd to be packing it up before even using it.

danvers sounds like a lovely day! This morning we put together our double stroller and I had my oh shit moment seeing that. I am going to get all the baby stuff up from the basement during DS's nap time and finish hospital bags. My goal is to have everything done by the first week of October.

Good morning! I had a false labor alarm this morning. At 5am, I woke up with the worst cramps ever. They weren't coming and going like regular contractions, but more of a steady pain. And I could feel his head moving all around near my cervix. After keeping me up for an hour they finally subsided and I was able to get some more sleep. At the time all I could think about was the sink full of dishes I left last night so of course I'm doing all of the cleaning this morning...probably for nothing. He's been moving good the whole time and no more signs so who knows what it meant.

37 weeks today!!!!! I worked full time this week (normally I'm 0.5) to help with all the beginning of the school year paperwork and chaos. So so looking forward to my normal 4 days at home now and a regular week next week and until baby comes.
Plans for today are to make sure the birth centre bag and an overnight bag for DD are packed and ready, install the car seat base, bring up/wash the bassinet/swing etc. Then games night with friends tonight!

Morning. SIL nephew and niece are coming for a visit today. H and the guys are going to start moving boxes and furniture in to the new house.
The work was completed yesterday. I can't wait to see the finished product. I got a preview the day I was released from the hospital, but the floors weren't stained yet and there was still some painting that needed to be touched up.

I think I've been having Braxton hicks contractions recently (never really experienced with DD) and they're definitely not fun. I need to order more hangers from amazon for Sequel's room so I can start washing/putting everything away.
H and I are taking DD to my mom's later so we can go on a date and celebrate my birthday. Yesterday wasn't the best day for either of us (lots of things out of our control that put a damper on the day) so we're trying to make up for it today.

thatgirlrachel, I've been having BH contractions a ton the last few days too. Only, you know, when I walk anywhere. Like from my car to the front door of target. We got the rug for Little Bit's room and DH got the bed broken down and taken out of there so I have some room to organize things. MIL is supposed to be coming over to help with cleaning and organizing things. We still need to get the car seat installed too. I'm wondering if I have time to get my car detailed one more time before baby gets here. LOL

Well, IKEA trip was sort of a bust. I checked their stock last night before bed and everything we needed was in stock, but we got there about an hour after they opened this morning and they were sold out of the dresser we wanted. That was the one thing I wanted to have together this weekend so I could start washing clothes, such a bummer. Now we'll have to make another trip once it is back in stock.

I just realized I've been counting down with my pregnancy tracker to my actual due date and not the scheduled csection a week early. So I've one less week to get everything ready. 😱

First world problems: I was all excited to stock up on sleepers while Carter's has them on sale with a 25% off coupon. But they are doorbusters so they're excluded from the coupon ðŸ˜

racegurl87 I've noticed BH more this time around. I *think* I may have felt them with DD but I could never be sure if it was her rolling or actual BH. This time there's no mistaking them!

Well I've had a shitty day. DS has been such an asshole from the moment he woke up. And of course he didn't take a nap. It doesn't help that DH has a short temper, so neither of us is cool-headed. I'm usually the one to try and stay somewhat calm, but I'm too exhausted and just want to put my swole-ass feet up. DS is now in his room for bed, hopefully he falls asleep soon.
I'm just ready for Monday. I hate dreading the weekend.

Oh in other news, we went on a hospital tour today. It's actually the same one where DS was born, but I wanted to see if they changed anything in the last 2.5 years.
When talking about checking-in, she asked what we should do when we think we're in labor. I thought, "um, come here?", but then several others answered, "call your doctor". Boy do I feel like a dummy. That alone was worth it. I feel like a first-timer, not knowing what to expect or how you know if you're actually in labor. I'm really hoping I go into labor on my own because the pitocin sucked.
Oh and I learned that they have birthing balls now. So hopefully I'm not all hooked up to an IV and can use it.

cougarette my hospital had drastically changed their security measures in L&D and the NICU between DD's birth (2 years ago) and DS's. I was impressed. They still had Italian Ice available 24/7, which was my favorite part of the stay.

cougarette Sorry about your crappy day. When I was on pitocin and antibiotics with DD I could use the birthing ball, well until the evil pitocin contractions took over and I needed the epi. Then I was stuck in the bed. Just ate a delicious pork chop with a baked potato and salad. I'm going to watch Masterchef when DD goes to bed and decide on dessert then. Right now I'm dealing with reflux from all the delicious food I stuffed in me.

arimaythea Bummer about IKEA! Ours is the only one in the country where I live, and the stock issues are so frustrating. Things are always running out! Hope the dresser is available next time you go. cougarette Sorry for the craptastic day. Hoping your DS turns it around and is in a better mood tomorrow! And yes - I agree pitocin is the worst. Devil drug.

I had 2 strong fake contractions today that knocked the wind out of me (hours apart). I legit yelped. Never had them with DD. Anyone else feel like they just have constant BH? My stomach is always tight. Ok done complaining glad you all are having a good weekend so far!

Alright, I'm having a baby in 10 days (or sooner!), and I have finally reached that point where I am feeling done. Don't get me wrong, I've been miserable for weeks -- everything about this pregnancy, esp 3rd tri, has been harder than the last -- but at the same time it seems to have gone by so quickly, and I've felt more freaked out than excited about the prospect of having an outside baby. The same thing happened with my last pregnancy, too: I had a BP scare 2 weeks before my EDD and I was all NOPE, NOT NOW, NOT YET... and then my EDD came and went and I spent that whole week thinking "okay, any time now is good."
I spent today doing a ton of laundry, mostly because it's the one chore where I can stand up for 10 minutes and then sit down for an hour. But the covers to the RnP, bouncer, swing, BF pillow, etc are now freshly washed, so that felt really productive. MH is still coughing away, but aside from a lingering stuffy nose I feel much better (at least as far as the sickness), so hooray for that!

The pregnant is strong here tonight. Made a 10pm run to Target because I HAD TO have cheap, salty ramen (and also pumpkin spice oreos because why not). Currently on my 2nd bowl, and strongly debating making the 2nd package.

I've been up since 4:30 because I had a dream I gave birth on October 29th so naturally my head is spinning calculating days and maternity leave. If I actually give birth on that day, I'm buying a lottery ticket or something
