Kid woke up at 5am so I played with him til he said he was hungry. Now he's running in circles with his pull up pulled down so his butt is hanging out. I should have started the coffee sooner.

We found out today that DH's burns are bad 2nd degree, but not severe enough to be considered 3rd. Phew! That means he won't need surgery - yay! It might take him a long time to get feeling back in his finger tips, but hopefully things will eventually get back to normal. Such a relief!
I told him today - no more cooking yourself! We're also wondering if his finger prints are going to be weird on his right hand. No more right finger print unlock for his iPhone for a while..hahaha 😅

I had 2 strong fake contractions today that knocked the wind out of me (hours apart). I legit yelped. Never had them with DD. Anyone else feel like they just have constant BH? My stomach is always tight. Ok done complaining glad you all are having a good weekend so far! Yup! My belly has been constantly tight, and strong braxton hicks for the past week. I never had them at all with my other 2, and I think it's making my husband nervous, lol.

Thats great news Taitai! DS gave me a 3 hour, then a 4 hour stretch of sleep last night. So far his baby model sleep setting is leaps and bounds ahead of DD's. Fingers crossed I didn't just jinx myself.

Taitai Good news about your DH! mkrupar Yay for good newborn sleep. Breakfast in my belly, coffee in my cup and Shimmer and Shine on the tv for DD. I'm doing a pelvic floor workshop through my yoga studio this afternoon. I need to meal plan and finish my laundry but don't want to get off the couch.

Taitai, sorry to hear about your DH but glad it's not as bad as it could have been. I'm trying to get caught up on some work and sort out the bottle/nipple situation. My MIL washed all the old nipples by hand but they're still sticky in some spots. I don't know why. I'm running them through the dishwasher to see if that helps.

DD is great with him! She's inquisitive without being pushy, and likes to "help" by giving us things that are his (even if we don't need them at that time. Lol). I'm doing ok. I'm only on ibuprofen now, so things are a little more sore, but I'm trying to walk a bit each day, as I know movement (even a little) helps with recovery. The right side of my belly is super sensitive to touch, so I don't know if there's some nerve thing happening. Im going to ask the OB at my incision check on Wednesday.

It's 12:30 and DS is napping with his shorts on. What a relief. Our grocery shopping trip was a nightmare, but maybe that's it for the day. We have a birthday party this afternoon. I'm also washing the pads for the swing, bouncer, and baby tub. We're almost all set!

Someone refresh my memory of whether sex really has been proven to induce labor or not?
Asking for a friend.

Someone refresh my memory of whether sex really has been proven to induce labor or not? Asking for a friend. Semen can soften the cervix (if you're ready) and orgasms can cause uterine contractions. All in all, it's meh. Sex is safe all through pregnancy so it clearly doesn't bring it on ALL the time. Your friend should probably have some sex anyway though. Can't hurt.

Freezer meals, freezer meals. Doing whatever freezer meals do.
7 meals down, and some lunch options to go with it coming up when I'm feeling less like laying on my bed. This is tiring!

We were up with DS three times last night thanks to a "funder" storm. It was actually the relaxing kind of rolling thunder but DS was scared. We didn't make it to church but spent most of the morning doing baby prep. We're in good shape but I have a couple more nesting activities I'd like to do.

I can't tell if it's movement or BH anymore, but damn it's making my heart race a little!

The weekend was busy, but we did lots of fun stuff as a family. On Friday night they screened Despicable Me 3 on campus so I brought DS. He loved it. We only lasted about 30 minutes but he had a blast and fell asleep on the car ride home. On Saturday we went to a farm for hayrides, corn mazes, pumpkin picking and all the fall things. Except we didn't pick apples, it was too hot and I was too pregnant for all that. Yesterday I went to an art show in a local park and then DS had a birthday party.
In between activities we tried to get stuff on our to do list done. I feel like for everything I cross off I add 3 more. I know that technically I'm "ready" but I'll never really be ready, does that make sense?

I know that technically I'm "ready" but I'll never really be ready, does that make sense? This is my life right now. I'm going to be finding things to do until it's time to go to the hospital, and I'll never feel done. Which is silly because, like you, I'm technically "ready"... I guess this is just the basic nesting instinct, hahaha.
