joelies , MH used to do that. "Well, my mom said I was potty trained at 16 months" and "well, I was walking by 9 months". Were you now? Really?!?!? And even if you were, every kid is different! Why do men pull this shit? It's so aggravating. It's like being part of a FB mom group talking about how advanced her kid is...but they're bragging about themselves. FACT: Every MIL who says this is either lying or having issues with their memory.

My MIL always keeps her mouth firmly shut when DH starts in on the comparisons, even when he tries to drag her into the conversation. She's not getting herself involved in that nonsense. ETA: Alternately, my Mom is the queen of that type of BS

On a less whiny note, I was texting back and forth with my best girl friends last night and we're planning a girls' night in October. We usually get together at least a couple times over the summer since most of them are teachers, but the one who usually takes the lead on planning things is going through a rough time with her DH and spent most of the summer on the Cape with the kids and her parents. We all need this so much!

Tell me if I should be annoyed by this. Josie has dance at 11 for an hour. She has to be at school at 12:30, so I change her out of her leotard and into her school clothes in the car and then I give her a snack and a drink as we drive 20 minutes to school. This year I wrote to her teachers and asked if she could be taken to the bathroom pretty soon after she gets in to school bc she would be eating and drinking in the car and might need a potty break sooner than later. Her teacher wrote back and said that I could take her as soon as I dropped her off. I was trying to avoid bringing Charlie into the bathroom because he's an 18-month-old monster who literally has to touch everything. There are five kids in her class with a teacher and an assistant teacher. I know they typically go to the bathroom before snack and then before they go on the playground, but I would guess if a kid had to go they would deviate from that schedule. Is it irrational for me to think that they should take her? H's school has a policy that the kids can go any time they need to, aside from the scheduled potty breaks. Her classroom also had a bathroom that is designed for little kids in the room so I guess that's probably part of it.

My MIL is picking up the kids at 3, taking them to the galleria to shop and probably to eat at rainforest cafe, before bringing them home. MH and I are going to ipic to see Mother. I'm more excited about eating/drinking than I am about the movie. JLaw was on Jimmy Fallon and said the movie is disturbing. I told MH that he had to go to bed at the same time as me for at least the next 2 weeks.

I feel wronged by Chipotle after eating their queso. why? Because they've been talking it up for weeks and it was gross. Gritty and just bad.

joelies M still wears a pullup to bed. I do not want to wake her up to pee in the MOTN. I'm probably breezy about night time training though. I'm right here. Sleep wins for me.

guster our school is configured weird, so the teachers all have Walkie talkies and the teachers will open the door and watch them go while they radio to the other teacher that they're heading that way (some classrooms are adjacent to the bathroom). I would think they would take them but they probably just wait until the kids express the need? This is where I'm at. At this age they speak up when they need to go. And I know you mentioned that she hasn't had an accident yet guster but that doesn't mean she will. B has had one accident, day 2 of being potty trained at daycare, so I dont think that it's inevitable that it will happen. That's what I was thinking. Accidents are inevitable. She's excited; she forgets, whatever the reason is. I thought I could cut it off at the start, but I sort of expected it to be their responsibility to take her. I ended up changing her at the dance studio and letting her use the bathroom there. I think that's probably the best plan. The dance instructor is gracious enough to hang with Charlie for the two or three minutes it takes.

I think Cadence is in another growth spurt. It would explain the moodiness, the random wake ups at night (she's ended up in mh's bed twice this week) and the constant hunger. Stop growing! M just had/is having one. He put some pajama pants on last night that he wears at least once a week and they were so short on him. They have never been short. I'm glad to see he is growing because he has been refusing his favorite foods since this weekend.

So remember how last week or so @wine convinced herself she was having a heart attack and ended up in the ER with anxiety? That was almost me today.
All day I have felt some significant tightness in chest and my heart feels like it's going to bust out of me. I was at our Headquarters office and stopped in to have lunch with MH and I told him it felt like an Elephant was sitting on my chest. He went and got his EMS kit and checked my BP and HR. Then a former paramedic coworker came in to see what was going on. There ended up being 3 coworkers in MH's office riddling me with questions and I started crying out of nowhere. Finally we came to the conclusion it's probably anxiety. So I'm waiting for my dr to get back from lunch to see about increasing meds.
I didn't make the connection before but I have had a tingling sensation all over my body for the last few days also.

I've gotten a tingling sensation before from anxiety as well, kind of like pins and needles. I hope you're able to get some rest and start feeling better!

Time to shop.

joelies if you H wants to do all this night training, then maybe he should do all of the waking up alone. You need your sleep and this was his idea.

Also, B is night-trained, but on occasion he will drink a lot before bedtime (or drink a lot of pool water), so on those occasions we just get him up before we go to bed b/n 10-11 and that's enough to keep him dry til morning. I would not be up for waking all of us up MOTN.

Hi! First break I'm getting all day. It really hasn't been busy, but I was helping out another area earlier.
Nothing much going on. M stopped eating PBJs a while ago, but I think it's the jelly he doesn't like anymore. Today I sent him a PB and honey sandwich. I was out of ideas. This past week he only ate the fruit or yogurt I send. He hardly even touches his goldfish or pretzels.
Re: treats for lunch. Sometimes M gets a clif bar. If our pantry was low on what I usually send, I've sent a few cookies or a fruit strip, but that's the extent of lunch treats for us. I guess my PB and honey should be considered a treat?

Late today. I'm barely functioning with N's sleep schedule..
I don't think anyone gets treats at J's school. The big thing now is that you can take your "warm up" to the microwave yourself, they used to do it for them in the old class. He asked for dumplings like his best friend😂..he's never had dumplings. I did send him a Mexican pizza last week though. Sun butter sandwiches for life over here.
