I slept from 9-4:15 and it was amazing. At the gym now. It always amazes me how many people are here at 5am

I'm looking at it as Wednesday already! Week is half done.

I have my lining check today, really hoping everything looks good so we can move forward with the transfer on 9/28 and our travel can get booked.

Back to work today, but I'm with armpants, it's already Wednesday!

I have to start soaking labels off wine bottles tonight for SILs table numbers. I can't believe the wedding is next weekend already!

I got waxed yesterday and then I have a haircut on Saturday, and dd has her first ever trim. She is nervous and keeps asking me to tell her that trimming her hair will help her be Rapunzel. Lol

I'm standing over the coffee maker like a damn fiend this morning, DD2 was up like 3 times last night.



Taking the girls to storytime this morning then laying low this afternoon. Mama is tired.

My mom is suppose to be coming up today for the day/evening before driving another 10 hrs to go to one of my aunts (I'll call her aunt F) houses for a party. I just found out one of my uncle died (via our extended family private fb group which sounds bad but the extended family on my moms side is huge and it's the best way to keep people informed. My grandma had 13 children. So again huge extended family.) the aunt that she was suppose to be making the drive with (aunt M) went to go be with the sister who lost her husband (aunt K). I'm not sure how this changes when my mom is coming or if she is coming it if aunt F is still having her party. My mom sent me a text at 10:45pm last night asking if I was awake. (I wasn't). Anyway, my uncle died unexpectedly. I think he was in his 70's. They had no children and my aunt K has recently had a ton of health issues herself (was hospitalized due to a stroke about 1-2 months ago). So this really sucks because I'm not sure she can or should be living alone but will probably refuse to live in a home. I am not super duper close this aunt and uncle but I still feel bummed.

That was long. If you made it though congrats.

Long story short. My uncle died.

This mama had her things going great this morning. Had the kids out the door before 7 to get them to daycare and back home for work by 730. I usually don't start work until 715/730 when H takes the kids in. Mostly because I have to wait for him to finish his morning routine while I get the kids ready. If he wouldn't spend an hour in the bathroom in the morning, I'm pretty sure they would be out the door that early 95% of the time!

Speaking of finding things out via facebook though. My grandmothers bio son (my dad is her step-son) posted on FB that he had spent two hours trying to reach his mother and still hadn't been able to. Went on saying how she is blind, not walking well, etc and how he is worried about her (he lives in a different state). Well, dumbass, instead of crying on FB, how about reaching out to those that are close to her *ahem* my father. Or reach out to those that know people that can check on her *ahem* me, my mom, etc. I have family that lives less than 10 minutes from her that would be able to go check on her instead of crying out on FB. He pissed me off. After pleas from other people (I hadn't seen his post until the next day) to call the police to do a well-check, he finally did and they were able to confirm that she was okay. Just didn't hear the phone. He pisses me off in general (I've seen him less times than the number of fingers on either hand), but he is always "poor me, FML, can't do anything right, blah blah blah". To say he "cares about his mother" but doesn't actually reach out to those that can help her almost immediately infuriates me.

fierymama yeah that's frustrating. I'm guessing my mom would have told me had I been awake when She text. Our private Facebook group is a great way to stay connected with family things. I'm guess all the immediate family (brothers and sisters) were contacted first.

Ethan woke up an hour early and woke s1 up in the process. Ecfe class for me and E today. Not sure what else

W keeps waking up 2 hours early and I've been sleeping like shit. But today we're headed to a park for our moms group chapter meeting. Hopefully w tires himself out.

jedi - Sorry, that rant wasn't about how you found out. I am sure your mom would have said something to you if you were awake. We have a family facebook group for my mom's side of the family and while some things are always discussed on the phone first - notifications and stuff are posted there as well.

It was more of a "this has been bugging me for days and I needed to get it out" thing. I mean, it was general FB, not a family group or anything. Didn't even tag family members. I mean, had I seen that he had been trying for hours to reach her that evening - I would have called my Aunt or my dad to go check on her. My aunt could get there in about 10 minutes, my dad in about 20.

Morning! 22 weeks today! Back to work and daycare for Jake. He LOST IT! He's had a VERY hard time lately so being home since last Thursday certainly didn't help anything. I'm at work working OT from 8-10 and my shift from 10-7. I wanted to get here at 7 but Jake was a massive grump this morning so it took forever to get him moving. I'm so glad we got power back last night.

I have a day off today and I'm taking DS to tiny tumble. We went once in the spring and he loved it. I need a fun day after an emotionally taxing few days at work.

I just called my mom. She's not coming. She might come up in a few days.

I'm very worried for my aunt who has a ton of health issues. My uncle was basically caring for her. Yesterday evening she couldn't find him in the house and couldn't go outside unassisted. She had to call a neighbor for help and that neighbor hound him in the yard. I also found out via my mom they had damage in their home in Texas from Harvey and my uncle was going next week to access the damage. No idea who will do this now.

I hate saying this but I worry my aunt isn't going to survive this.
