I actually blocked her from seeing the weighted blanket one, including anyone who talks to her regularly (my bil and sil) because we worked hard on that blanket and I wanted to share it. I was also really excited because it was something we did together. But all she cared about was what she looked like in the photo.

There is much that bothers me about my mil. I usually just try to deal with it. We only see them a handful of times each year.

Don't let anyone shit on your excitement. I remember the pacifier comment and at the time thought "well that's shitty". With those little comments she's making comments about you and your parenting. Just don't let it get to you. You are an amazing mom, you would never let anything happen to them. You keep your baloons all pumped up.

@booarouge back when H took them for the day to her house, I had sent her an email a few days later with first day school pictures and that I was sorry to have missed. There was no comment about oh it was so nice to see the kids. We had a lovely time. I'm glad you got a day to yourself. It was "H forgot Isaacs medicine and an hour before H and the kids left, Isaac was testy. I think he's jealous of Ethan"

Apparently, Ethan was messing up Isaacs toys, which was frustrating for Isaac, and they told him to go play on the deck alone. Isaac didn't want to. I mean he's afraid of bugs and doesn't like to be alone a lot of the time. So of course he wouldn't want to. Even if you have big glass doors.

When he stayed there 2 weeks they took one picture the entire time he was there and he wasn't even in it.
