Howdy! Our cell service was shit yesterday so I'm just now catching up. We are going on 25 hours without power and no sign when it might come back on. Yesterday was a long one but H hooked up the generator for coffee and TV this morning. It would still be nice to be able to shower, but we didn't sustain any damage and everyone is safe so I have no complaints.

thatgirlrachel I hope you get power back soon! Being towards the end of pregnancy with no power/air conditioning and at the tail end of summer sounds horrible. At least you guys are safe with no damage, but still...I hope you get power back asap!

Today was a pretty good day, except that our car battery died while DH was out and about. Due to the horrible/horrible traffic in this city (and the super tropical/hot climate year round), it is normal for all cars here to need a new battery every 2-3 years. Insanity. I still haven't gotten used to that.
I'm just glad it happened today, so now we have a brand new battery and I don't have to worry about the car being dead while trying to get to the hospital (whenever I go into labor).

Baking a billion monster cookies today for DDs birthday tomorrow. I always forget how big of a batch my recipe makes. So yummy though.
MW appt this afternoon and working on cleaning still. Super exciting;)

When DS started climbing out of the crib we got him a cot for while we pick/purchase/get his big boy bed (We decided to buy one from SIL, but she is still using it at the moment). This morning i was laying by the cot trying to get DS back to sleep and he rolled out of bed, his hand and full weight landing directly on my open eye. I reacted by saying ow, lifting him off me and putting him on the cot and walking away. He absolutely lost his mind screaming. That's a pretty good example of how the following hour has gone too. Today blows.

thatgirlrachel Glad you guys don't have any damage. Hopefully the power gets restored soon. I order a few things from Walmart online last night and they have already shipped, I've never used their online shopping but wow that was fast. My new rocker/recliner and shelving unit is on the way!

H is on his way to visit with DD. She was asking to see me and I'm anxious to see her again. We have the Marco Polo so, which is like a video walkie talkie so, and he sent me a video last night of them reading books and her saying "night night Mama!" ❤❤

Am I crazy for considering going south with my family at the end of January? H's cousin is getting married, he's going for sure, I'm debating on going with the two girls. It's a 5 hour flight, we will be renting a house for a few days at the beach then meeting up with H's family for a few days for the wedding festivities. I feel confident right now about this but am I crazy? If you've travelled with toddlers and babies what are my essentials?

I woke up in a sour mood and am really living up to my screen name today. I just want to be left alone for 30 min but that probably isn't happening any time soon. Also H has plans to watch It after work which is fine, but he chose an 8:30pm showing at a theater an hour away. He gets off work at 5! You can't find an earlier show?

Hey ladies!! H and I finally settled on some new orders yesterday!
When the billets opened up yesterday we decided to apply for 2 positions, one in our current city doing security work and the other a recruiting job in New England.
His detailer got back to him today that he was accepted for the New England recruiting! That was a priority order, so as soon as they assign him a spot, we go. Holy crap!! So, instead of June we are looking more at Christmas.

Thanks everyone. Still no power as of 1pm. Fortunately the weather outside is nice (68*) so the house is actually pretty comfortable. I'm just ready to shower and clean this house at this point.

Still in super nesting mode at school and home. Those darn children make it hard to get everything done that needs to be done 😉 Actually they were very sweet today asking when she is coming exactly and why don't I know the exact date and all sorts of things.
H is in charge of dinner tonight since I'm sitting in the OBs office waiting for my appt. I don't care what he cooks - just looking forward to not being the one to do it!

We are sharing a generator with the in laws to keep all of our deer meat frozen. But I just want to return to our normal lives. I know many, many people have it way worse than us. But the power company just said to expect to be without power for 2-3 more days so I just have to whine for a minute. Grrrr.
TL/DR: I'm being a brat and i know it.

I accidentally just ate an entire tub of Spinach and Kale Greek Yogurt Dip from Trader Joe's. I feel so gross and likely won't want to eat dinner now.
I'm better news, my AS is tomorrow! The good bloodwork and N/T are making me feel less nervous but I'm still nervous.🤞

chitownsully, you are SO right. This wouldn't suck near as bad with a glass of wine to take the edge off. The power came back on for 20 minutes before going back out. Hopefully that means they are still working on it?? FX.
