Cuddling DD in bed while she watches tv. I'm going to miss this when #2 arrives. Plan for the day is the playground this morning, an appointment with my psychologist this afternoon. My FFFC is I just realized that DD sleeps without a pillow and this is not the norm. She's still in her crib and seems fine without one. 🤷🏼♀️ DS has a small toddler pillow in his crib but refuses to use it.

August Blooms, DS doesn't use a pillow either. When are we supposed to give them one? thatgirlrachel, cougarette stay safe! We went to the state fair yesterday and DS didn't nap all day, and i am sore all over from walking basically non-stop from 11-5 with some toddler carrying in there. We are having a lazy day today. I'm making soup this morning to be our dinner, and plan to lounge out with DS in front of the tv. What kind of soup? Yum!

I hope you guys stay safe thatgirlrachel and cougarette ! I got a text from our daycare provider at 5:30 this morning that she is feeling under the weather. I knew she didn't feel great yesterday and that her husband had stayed home sick. She said we could bring DS like normal or keep him home and get a comp day. I told her I'd drop him off like normal. DH vetoed that and ran to school to make sub plans. DS was thrilled to see him when he got back home! The catch is that I have to leave work at 2:00 so that DH can go back to school to get ready and leave for the road game 1.5 hours away tonight. Luckily my boss is super laid back and I can work from home until DS wakes from his nap. DH is probably right to veto my decision. I'm almost 37 weeks and risking DS getting exposed, and thus, exposing me and baby, is not worth the risk at this point. No surprise that I agree w your DH. DS may get it anyway but taking e tea precautions close to delivery isn't a bad thing. Lol, I knew you would! I just have SO much to do today and until I'm out on maternity leave and can't really afford to use days this late in the game. DH also needs to save his days, but he thought it was worth taking one today. I think I was in denial mode early this morning and telling myself it would probably be ok.....

Lol I started a thread on parenting now because we are like...not at all ready.
Not.at.all.
So I'm slightly panicking. But, just a little.

thechickencoop, So many good vibes coming your way! I had DS at 34 weeks and he was fine except for some jaundice. I hope baby stays put so you can get that second steroid shot. I really felt like it helped DS because he didn't need any oxygen at all. He stayed a little extra in the NICU only because he was super stubborn and didn't want to eat. I'm sure you'll hear this too, everyone kept saying 34 weeks is just fine to deliver and the baby will be okay! Both anesthesiologists tried to make me feel better by saying I'm skipping the really uncomfortable end of the pregnancy - both men btw. Also don't panic. We were completely unprepared for DS arrival. They kept asking us questions like what's his name? Whose your pedi? And all my answers were I don't know! I thought I had 6 more weeks. DS got his name once I was able to see him in the NICU.

Saaawwwrrryyy!!! But yea, H is heading home later to install the car seat base and do a load of tiny laundry lol. At least we are *somewhat* prepped with the pedi and all since it will be all the same from DS. We didn't finalize a name til on our way in too; we had a short list already but needed to choose.

I'm home from work and exhausted. My FFFC is that I'm letting Mickey and snacks parent while I hang on the couch. This is the point in my last pregnancy where I came straight home from work and napped every single day. Can't do that with a toddler in tow!
Fortunately they closed campus for us Monday and Tuesday so I'm off work until Wednesday (& without having to use any PTO, woohoo!). So I should be able to get caught up on rest over the extra long weekend.
Also, I hope this baby doesn't come during the hurricane because no thank you to risking a drive to the hospital in a terrible storm.

Current status, deciding what to order to the room for dinner.
They told me I don't have any food restrictions today so I'm pretty much going HAM on room service.

August Blooms we never gave DD a pillow till she moved to a big girl bed this summer (2 yrs 4 months?). Half the time she still never uses it. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who googles things like "when to give toddler a pillow" caitost21 DD had a super small party when she turned two because I was in the throes of morning sickness and it was all I could manage to even have family over. Don't feel guilty - your DS will love it no matter what. thatgirlrachel and cougarette stay safe! CoachTsWife - i'm with your DH on this. Too late in the game to get sick now! Hopefully you all avoided it!

Baby's been super active lately - which I love. It was a nice, easy Friday here.
I think we're gonna take DD to the apple orchard tomorrow morning. I'm trying to find some nice, easy activities we can do as a family of three before we become a family of four. Supposedly they have a small petting farm and DD will be in heaven if that's true.

thatgirlrachel That is not a FFFC. DD has watched more tv and eaten more carbs today than I would care to admit. It's survival mode time at this point in pregnancy. danvers You should see the things I Google related to parenting... so many questions. This kid has run out of room... elbows and knees are being thrown... it actually hurts a bit... it don't really remember it being this strong feeling with DD. The baby was in the process of changing positions earlier and my psychologist was like your lopsided lol
