I'm here. It's gross and supposed to rain all day. DD is in a mood, so it'll be great too be stuck inside with her all day.
My BP was spiking last night, so I have a message in to the MFM to keep her posted since we just adjusted my meds Friday. I have to call the OB later this morning to get on the C-section schedule. My OB of choice confirmed with the MFM she'd be able to do it. I just need the scheduler to get it booked.

Good morning. Another day at work just counting down the time until maternity leave. I was able to finish packing our hospital bag last night and we will install the bucket seat in my car tonight. I am getting so antsy to meet this baby!

Hello. Just chugging along here. Nothing exciting happening at all. I need to go to the grocery store and see if it's stocked yet so we can buy food. I'm so tired of eating out.

Happy Weds! Nothing too exciting going on in the taitai household. We turned DS' car seat to forward facing (he's 2.5 and was starting to really throw fits about being rear facing - contorting himself to see the cars while going to/from school and just being overall cranky about car rides).
Omg - he loves riding in the car now. In the past he hasn't been thrilled about getting in the car, but now it's like his favorite thing ever.
By the end of the week we need to move his car seat from the middle to one side, so we (hahaha...not really we, totally going to be DH) can put the base for the infant bucket seat on the other side.
Exciting, exciting times...

Greetings from the couch! DD's activities start up again this week, so she and H are at gymnastics and I get *almost* an hour to myself. I'll take it.

I'm trying to purchase a diaper bag off of Poshmark and I'm irrationally annoyed at how infrequently the seller responds to me. I should probably let it go and look for something else but it's a retired print on the same type of bag I had for DD and loved. #firstworldproblems I suppose.

Happy Wednesday, ladies.
Well, I ushered H back off to the ship (again) and he sailed out this morning. 17 days and counting.
I also woke up with some nasty ringing in my ears, which has now given way to a general wind tunnel effect. It's really quite hard to deal with, especially since I need to go mow the lawn before it rains today. That's not getting done though because every sound my phone makes is echoed in my ears. DNW to add lawn mower to that.
Besides that, I have my meeting with the pedi today. I was looking forward to it, but now I feel like ass so who knows.

I'm starting to freak out about this hurricane. The winery where we're wine club members IS near my in-laws up in NC, AND they just put out their new release. So we need to go up anyway... but my in-laws.. but cat 3 storm... it's a dilemma.

Happy Wednesday guys.
My grandma passed away last week and her services were yesterday. It was such a rough day and I am completely emotionally and physically exhausted. I fell asleep on the couch at 7:30 last night. DD was an absolute dream during the wake and church mass, and fell asleep in the car on the way to the cemetery so DH stayed with her. Everyone was telling me how good she was. Though it was a tough day for all of us, I think she helped add a smile to everyone's face- especially my grandfather. He asked if I could leave her at his house for a couple days haha I put an ultrasound of the baby in the casket along with her name (which we are keeping secret)- so sad my grandma won't get to meet her.
I took yesterday, today, and tomorrow as bereavement. Like I said- I'm just exhausted. I was able to get some sleep this morning and am currently washing all the newborn and 0-3 clothes from DD1 and packing the baby's part of the hospital bag as well as my own.

cythe, Hugs about your husband leaving and that you feel crappy. Maybe you can ask the pedi about your ears, see how they give out advice!

Oh parma986 I'm so sorry about your grandma and the emotional toll of the last few days. I think the ultrasound and baby name is so sweet. I'm glad you're taking a few days for yourself.

parma986 I'm so sorry. We lost my FIL unexpectedly just over a month before DD was born and I'm still heartbroken he never got to meet her. Sending you giant big hugs. ❤❤

Anyone using the browser version of the forum and noticing the "NEW" button not working? I click it and it takes me to the beginning of the thread instead of the last post I read, and it's bugging me. cythe, I've dealt with ear issues on and off for a while but never really found someone dealing with something similar to me. When you breathe does it feel like the air is passing through your ears too? If you put your head down between your legs does it go away temporarily? Ugh if you have the same thing I do, it is so irritating when it flares up. parma986, I'm so sorry <3

I've not tried to put my head down, but damn the breathing air flow thing.

cythe , yes it isn't an all the time thing for me either. I notice it flare up more often after showers or physical activity. It's usually over after a short time, anywhere from 5-30 minutes, but while it is happening it can be quite debilitating. I've dealt with it on and off for years. So sorry about your grandma parma986. Hugs to you. I have some big projects at work that I need to get trucking on, but I'm lacking motivation big time. FX I can get some stuff accomplished soon. I feel SO distracted while I'm at work.

parma986, I'm so sorry for your loss. I washed (what I thought) was all of our newborn clothes and I realized that I'm missing a lot. Like all the things we would need as soon as the baby is born. DH swore that he got everything from the attic. It usually takes at least 3 days of reminding and asking to get shit from the attic. Ugh I was so proud I was on the ball for at least one thing.

I'm still drowning In work but I should be caught up by tomorrow if my boss will just leave me alone to do my work. Overall he's a great boss but sometimes I just don't get what he's thinking.
I'm also loving this fall weather that has come in. I actually can fit my rings back on my finger!

H is working from home today, so I was able to go to my OB appointment solo this morning. On my way home I stopped by the grocery store for some bakery fresh donuts. Not disappointed. Told H it was a treat to the baby for doing so well at her appointment.

Today is the 30 day countdown until my EDD. I definitely want this baby to cook for a few more weeks, but I'm starting to feel ready prep-wise (which means she will be late, right?) 😊

DD had her first day of preschool today, and I think she loved it. I'm glad she'll have that interaction, especially after the baby is born.

Taitai we just moved DD’s car seat to the passenger side (from the middle) and she seems to like it! I’m not ready to turn her around yet (she’ll be 2 tomorrow) so I’m hoping this suffices until we are both ready. parma986 I’m so sorry for your loss.
