Work is slowing down as I'm transitioning my stuff to my replacement. I am getting through a backlog of 'stuff' I had been delaying so that's good. I'm just going to start getting bored real quick!

curmudgeon , glad to hear you're safe and faring well after Harvey's onslaught. I can't believe there's Irma now to worry about. I am worried for my BFF and her family in Miami now. Speaking of which, do we have anyone here on Irma's path? I sure hope not! ETA cougarette, are you going to be potentially affected?

Anyone using the browser version of the forum and noticing the "NEW" button not working? I click it and it takes me to the beginning of the thread instead of the last post I read, and it's bugging me. I am but I never use that feature. LOL! never even noticed it until you mentioned it. SaveSave

I washed (what I thought) was all of our newborn clothes and I realized that I'm missing a lot. Like all the things we would need as soon as the baby is born. DH swore that he got everything from the attic. It usually takes at least 3 days of reminding and asking to get shit from the attic. Ugh I was so proud I was on the ball for at least one thing. Same here, sigh! I finally got hubs to bring up the tote with feeding supplies and pumping parts after a week of asking. I wish I could physically haul stuff but I can't and that's been the most frustrating part about being on MBR for me...not able to physically do much of anything! SaveSave

Happy Weds! Nothing too exciting going on in the taitai household. We turned DS' car seat to forward facing (he's 2.5 and was starting to really throw fits about being rear facing - contorting himself to see the cars while going to/from school and just being overall cranky about car rides). Omg - he loves riding in the car now. In the past he hasn't been thrilled about getting in the car, but now it's like his favorite thing ever. By the end of the week we need to move his car seat from the middle to one side, so we (hahaha...not really we, totally going to be DH) can put the base for the infant bucket seat on the other side. Exciting, exciting times... DS still rides backward facing, he's 3.25 and lucky for us isn't complaining so he'll stay that way for as long as possible - hoping until at least 4. He has a mirror he can look at to see what's behind him so that helps I suppose. We will however need to move him to the driver's side when we install the bucket seat in a few weeks. I still have to get hubs to bring up the seat so I can strip it it and put it in the wash. SaveSave

parma986 So sorry for the loss of your grandma. duskymonkey - Rear facing at 3.25 is impressive! I love the goal of 4 yrs - way to go. I wish we could have made it longer, but...oh well. 2.5 isn't bad - that's what I keep telling myself. 😅

I wish we could have made it longer, but...oh well. 2.5 isn't bad - that's what I keep telling myself. 😅 He isn't complaining yet so we're just going to go roll with it until he does. 😬 He's also wee and doesn't seem cramped but it depends too on the type of seat. My sister has a britax we use when we go visit her and a yr ago, DS certainly was cramped. We find the Diono to be roomy. Actually this reminded me I need to check the manufacturer total weight limit for using latch when we move him behind the drivers seat eventhough we have yet to hit the RF weight and height limit for the seat so if the latch cannot hold then we might have to FF him or continue using the seat belt. We'll need to see how both seats are fitting in the car. Hopefully soon 😅
