How far along are you? 33+2
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Feeling good, concerned about possible IUGR.
What kind of appointment? Midwife.
How did it go? Really well. Found out that the last ultrasound went really well, baby is estimated to be about 4lbs and in the 72 percentile. I know they unreliable estimates but even if they are off by a bit that means baby is growing well and I won't have a IUGR diagnosis.
Any feels/vents/etc? I'm feeling relief that I don't have to worry about IUGR and happy that things are progressing normally.
Learn anything new? See above.
Next appointment: Midwife appointment two weeks from now at 35 weeks.

How far along are you? 33
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Feeling just fine.
What kind of appointment? OB
How did it go? Stubborn baby is still breech but ob reiterated I shouldn't even begin to stress for another 3-4 weeks. DS flipped around 35-36 weeks if I remember correctly. Everything else looks good.
Any feels/vents/etc? Nope.
Learn anything new? See above.
Next appointment: In two weeks.

How far along are you? 35+3
Any concerns? How are you feeling? No real concerns
What kind of appointment? NST/BPP
How did it go? Fine. Baby was moving well and doing everything they wanted him to.
Any feels/vents/etc? Annoyed my OB office is dragging their feet scheduling my RCS. The MFM confirmed with my OB of choice she can perform the RCS, but I still have to call to schedule. The person I spoke with this afternoon just took my info and said she'd pass it along to the scheduler, but couldn't tell me when they would call me back.
Learn anything new? No
Next appointment: Friday - NST/BPP and OB appointment

How far along are you? 35+2 Any concerns? How are you feeling? Feeling okay, no concerns going into it. What kind of appointment? Midwife How did it go? Ok, I guess. Any feels/vents/etc? Started out like a typical appointment. She checked his hr, but could only hear the placenta noise. Checked to see if he was head down, then sent me straight to an U/S to check it, since she wasn't 100% sure. U/S lasted all of 2 minutes and I didn't get to see at all. I never got to hear a heartbeat, but he's been moving. I felt really rushed through and didn't get to ask any questions, which of course made me nervous. Learn anything new? Growth is back on track - he was measuring way ahead last time. Next appointment: next Tuesday. Weekly appointments now

How far along are you? 37+1
What kind of appointment? OB/NST
How did it go? Fluid and BP were fine. They couldn't get the accelerations they wanted on the NST so I got sent to L&D for monitoring... where they got the required results in 20 minutes and it took longer to officially register and discharge me.
Any feels/vents/etc? To be fair, the doc tried really hard to not send me to the hospital (kept me on the NST longer, tried to get the baby moving more), and I understand WHY they do it, but GAAAAAH it is so inconvenient! Plus I know from last time this is going to cost us about $100 OOP. Lame. I always come armed with cold water and a snack in case baby is not cooperating, I swear next time I'm bringing in a goddamned Frappuccino. Only half joking.
Next appointment: Twice weekly now! Next one is Saturday morning.

And they told me next time to just drink something sugary before. Flat out. Lol.

Any concerns? How are you feeling? We did our 3D ultrasound this past weekend and baby was head down. I'm so happy but also want to make sure baby stays that way! No baby concerns, I have some concerns with my cardiology report to bring up but hopefully they can assure me all is ok.

How far along are you? 36+2 (yesterday) but 37+2 according to OB based on a dating U/S. (I don't agree with her because I was charting and it took me FOREVER to turn a test so I don't think I ovulated early, which is indicated by her moving my date.) Any concerns? How are you feeling? I'm feeling pretty good, just tired from pregsomnia setting in recently. What kind of appointment? OB plus U/S to ensure baby is head down and get a baseline for baby size and fluid How did it go? I should preface this by saying I do like my OB...but she's starting to stress me out. She greeted me with "All right, you made it to full term!" followed by "Now we need to move you toward delivery. Not aggressively. But we'll check your cervix next week to see what is going on." I tried to not react to what she was saying and be breezy about it with a 'baby will come when he's ready' attitude. I know I have risk factors but none of them have ever threatened to be an issue with either pregnancy, so I'm trying to balance trusting her and her medical expertise/wisdom with my own strong desires to not be induced and have a natural med-free delivery when baby is ready. Learn anything new? U/S confirmed baby is head down. The tech estimated his size to be 7lb, 7oz. I told her at this point with my last pregnancy baby was estimated to be 7 lb, 2 oz and I was worried about having a huge baby. When I told her he was born a month later at 7 lb, 10 oz, she said "Oh, you're an example of baby not gaining much weight in the last month." I just looked at her and thought, "No, I'm an example of how these estimates can be off." This is making me sound like I think I'm smarter than the medical professionals I'm seeing. I don't. I think I'm getting grumpy and just want to let my body do what it knows how to do. Naturally. When baby is ready. If something comes up in the meantime, I'm all about keeping baby safe and healthy by whatever means, but nothing is indicative of that at this point. If labor starts naturally earlier than I anticipate, that is obviously fine and maybe my OB was right with her date if that happens. Next appointment: Next Tuesday I'll end with a happy note. I compared DS1's U/S facial profile at 36 weeks with DS2's facial profile from yesterday and they look so much alike. IDK if all babies just look the same inside or if they'll look similar, but it was fun to see the similarities.

Any concerns? How are you feeling? No, I'm feeling pretty good, minus the occasional back pain.
What kind of appointment? Regular OB + GBS test
How did it go? Good. HR is still good (in the 150s), BP good, baby is head down. This was my fisrt cervical check, and she said everything is looking good so far.
Any feels/vents/etc? No, just hard to believe I'm at weekly appointments already.

What kind of appointment? just a regular check
How did it go? good. HR 140
Any feels/vents/etc? I waited forever in the exam room. I forgot to tell the Dr. that I had the tdap.

How far along are you? 34w 3d
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Typical 3rd tri stuff.
What kind of appointment? 34w midwife checkup
How did it go? Just fine!
Learn anything new? I brought up the discomfort I've been having in my inner thighs due to weight gain/sweating in the area. Midwife recommended trying Zeasorb. It looks like it is basically a slightly fancier version of baby powder, so I'm going to order some and try it. Amusingly, it is marketed to men for jock itch, so it makes me feel silly getting it for myself, but whatever works at this point.
Next appointment: 2 weeks for my 36w checkup and group B strep test, then weekly after that!

How far along are you? 32+2
Any concerns? How are you feeling? I'm feeling better since we saw the urologist last week. Just getting antsy for her arrival. I think I'm more nervous this time around than with my first. Delivery was easy with her (besides her having meconium) and I didn't need any stitches or anything. I feel like it just can't go that well another time around!
What kind of appointment? Scan to check kidneys and OB
How did it go? Kidneys are stable and even decreased slightly. OB says I'm dehydrated so need to do better with that for sure
Any feels/vents/etc? Just want her here!
Next appointment: Sept 19th OB appointment. Will start weekly scans for kidneys and NST starting at 35 weeks. Anyone have experience with NST? Never had one

kinipela7 I had an NST with DS, and it was pretty boring. Basically just sat in a chair, in a quiet room, for an hour while hooked up to belly moniters. Definitely take a book or something to occupy yourself. I know there's a few ladies here who get them regularly, so they may be able to better answer any questions you have.

How far along are you? 34+5
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Just this stupid ringing in my ear. Doc said it's a viral thing and should resolve itself. BP was good so it didn't raise any red flags.
What kind of appointment? Regular OB
How did it go? Pretty good, I asked some questions and got a lot of not what I wanted to hear lol. Baby is good, FHR is good, I'm good.
Any feels/vents/etc? I don't think I care for this OB. I'm guessing it's because she told me "no" and not for any real reason. Found out my docs do a cervical check at 37 weeks, but when I asked if they would consider a membrane sweep at 38 she said no. Not until 39 weeks which I find odd, because they said they'd induce me if I asked at 39 weeks.
38 would be a really great time to have this baby, so I'm just sad they shot me down.
Learn anything new? Not really
Next appointment: doc said I could cancel my next appt, so not until 9/22. Which will be 36+6, whatever.

I also had my pedi appt yesterday and they were great. It's a smaller practice which I love (so far lol). Only 2 doctors in the whole thing which will be a nice change from the 8 in my OBs office that I'm STILL working through seeing all of them.
They answered my questions, went over some of the challenges and reasons that come with a small practice and I'm pleased.

kinipela7 ive had what feels like a thousand NSTs between both pregnancies. Have a sugary snack right before and bring ice cold water to drink. They're looking at baby's HR, movement, and if you're having contractions. They want to see a certain amount of movement from baby in a certain amount if time, so the ice water and sugar help get kiddo moving. They're also making sure there's no distress to baby when/if you're having contractions. They don't want to see any major HR decels during a contraction. They're pretty boring. I've had quick ones, and I've had super long ones. It all depends on how baby is behaving that day/time of day.

kinipela7, what mkrupar said for sure. Also, my DS routinely failed NSTs. And he is now asleep in his bed so all was well. He just wasn't an active kid. We had to poke, prod and sometimes the nurses got tired of me being there and just called it close enough and let me go home.

August Blooms that's fantastic news! kinipela7 as long as baby is cooperating, NSTs are NBD. I had them twice weekly with DS for the last 9 weeks, they hook you up, monitor for 20 minutes, send you on your way. But like they said upthread, you mmmaaaayyy want to bring something cold or sugary to drink (whatever gets the baby moving) in case he's snoozing or something.

How far along are you? 33+6 today, last midwife appt was last week at 33.
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Same old same old fortunately. I've been having more hip pain on and off but luckily it's not excruciating yet.
What kind of appointment? So I actually had 2 appts last week, midwife on Friday was normal.
Last Tuesday I had a follow up with the MFM. Baby's kidneys are now both dialated but it's apparently still mild so it's not causing any issues and they think it will resolve on its own. They also measured his abdomen circumference at >95th percentile so the MFM was concerned about rapid fetal grown and it having me do finger pricks for a week to rule out GD (again...because I've already freakin had 2 one hour GTTs and the three hour!!). They've all been low so far; I need to email them to the nurse tomorrow so I'll see what they say.
Oddly, my fundal height is still measuring a week behind. ::shrug::
Next appointment: next Friday I have another midwife check, the NEXT week I have a follow up with my hematologist to make sure my platelets aren't dropping too low too fast, and the NEXT NEXT week I have another growth scan. Sheesh.

Bahh Oooohhh!!! I thought you were talking about YOUR kidneys!! Yea, how odd! At my A/S only one was dialated, the follow up they both were but one slightly more that the other. They're assuming it's just mild reflux because there's nothing indicating a blockage or infection. Thank you for posting this though!! Because I need to remember to tell the nurse this when she comes back in. Since I'm going so early then I'm sure it will still be present at birth and I want them to be ready.

How far along are you? Yesterday, 32 weeks 3 days
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Didn't have any concerns until the appt
What kind of appointment? NST, sono and doc
How did it go? Frustrating. Sono went fine even though baby didn't grow too much and went down in percentile from 2 weeks ago but OB said it was fine until he decided he didn't want to move during the NST. No accelerations so they sent me to L&D for monitoring. Was at the hospital for 6 hours, on that damn monitor for 5 with no acceleration. They let me go but I had to go back to the office today for another sono and NST. Oh and baby flipped up - just to added to the frustration of yesterday.
Any feels/vents/etc? So much annoyance directed at this baby for not cooperating.
Next appointment: This morning. Sono was perfect and he's head down again. I had a big breakfast today and drank lots of cold water. But of course on the NST he was super lazy again. OB that discharged me from the hospital yesterday comes in and is like well I'm stumped. Not exactly what you want to hear when your high risk. She said I know your baby is fine, I wouldn't have let you go home yesterday - so I was on the NST for another 20 mins on my left side and it worked a little b/c we got 2 spikes and they let me go BUT I have to go back on Monday again. Ugh the receptionist said she's going to give me a desk and put me to work since I'm there all the time.

littleowl913, that sounds so much like my experiences with DS. I tried coke, ice water, crackers, poking, it was just so hard to get him moving. I would sometimes see 2 or 3 ladies come and go in the NST bed next to mine and there I was sitting there like an asshole still waiting for some accels. Then he was born and he was like 'hey guys. here I am. I'm cool'. As a baby he rarely even cried. He was just chill. Like an old stoner. Now he's almost 4 and he has his threenager moments but generally he's still a pretty chilled out kid. FX everything is ok and you are just dealing with a chill kiddo too.

How far along are you? 34+2 Any concerns? How are you feeling? Not too bad, just feeling like I want to nap 98% of the time. The cooler weather has made things a bit easier. What kind of appointment? Regular OB appt today. Everything looks normal. It took her forever to find HB with the doppler but baby girl was squirming around the whole time so I knew she was fine. OB thinks she may have flipped around. Which is fine. RCS, so she can be in whatever position she likes. Next appointment: 2 weeks is our last appt! Regular OB + growth and BPP. I won't miss that place. I guess I'll have to go for at least one PP visit though. Side note: If I get asked one more time about tubal ligation I'm gonna slap a bitch. It seems like every visit they bring it up. This is only my 2nd kid, I'm in my 40s and I'm infertile. I'm not really worried about a surprise pregnancy. Further, I don't really want to add to the length of a c-section and if we wanted permanent BC we'd go the vasectomy route. I guess they're just looking for more procedures to bill.

cythe,, that's too bad about your OB, maybe you can try a few natural remedies to move things along when you're 28 weeks! littleowl913, so frustrating having to go back again and again. Bubs also fell down in percentile at my last appt. and that got me worried but is back on track this week so yours could have a growth spurt coming up.

Too lazy to find the form to fill out.... Tl:DNR - everything is the same. Still cooking a baby. Still considered under high risk monitoring but okay. 33.5 today Bpp went well yesterday. He passed so much faster this time!! Soda for breakfast to the rescue!! Everything looks great there. And the tech was quite in love with his lips. They are so plump and adorable. He most definitely has my nose and lips. (Thankfully for his sake ) she was able to grab some fantastic photos. I normally am whatever about ultrasound photos. They just aren't good enough for me to love. But these from yesterday? Oh my goodness!! He was beyond adorable!! Bp was up at the visit, but back down to normal the rest of the day. Thursday it stayed high, but still acceptable. A lot of swings back and forth Thursday. Everything bloodwork from last week looks about the same. I got my results from yesterday. I see some changes in the bloodwork. Protein levels have barely risen (like 4 points). But some of the other levels have changed more. She hasn't said anything about them. But she had her triage shift last night too. So I don't really expect to hear back from her for a while. The thing that slightly concerned me was a drop in my platelets. They are still within the acceptable range, but they are lower than last week. Which could just be a fluctuation or it could be a problem. We just have to wait and see. I posed two hypothetical questions and both got the same answer. Even if NOTHING changes or worsens, I'm still having a 37wk delivery. Even if only protein changes, I'm still having a 37wk delivery. So, no matter what, October 2 is my new edd essentially. Which, for those that care, totally keeps DS away from my bday. Several people were like, "oh he could come late and share your bday!" I'm over here saying, "nope. I don't share my bday." Lol. She is still quite concerned about the rising bp. I'm still keeping stable. But it has shifted some. Now it's upper 140/90 sometime 150/100. I dr googled some of the bloodwork she was running out of curiosity. And it does confirm her theory that pree is just a waiting game over here (which the rising bp and protein levels were also confirmation...there really wasn't a doubt about it). There has been some results that show rising ldh and uric acid has been linked to Pree results. And both have risen in the past week. Next visit is a week. Monday is 34 weeks!!!! Which is exciting and terrifying at the same time. If anything changes between now and October 2, they will just deliver. No more waiting for him to grow more. Steroid shots and delivery. That's it.

ssm I have my fingers crossed you hold on past 34 weeks!! Pre-e is such an unknown in what causes it and what makes it stay moderate in some people and what causes it to go severe in others. There's some informatiin it there now saying pre-e is a type of autoimmune disease, which makes sense because your body is attacking itself to help baby.
