This is my first day of not drinking at lunch. This really is sad. Are you back at work now?

sophiegrace Tacos and margaritas sound delicious. Unfortunately I refused to go grocery shopping for the short week so we are dealing with what we have. I think tuna casserole for dinner. It was tomato soup and mixed veggies for lunch - a very boring food day here. flamingo Have fun at breakfast and the park! That was really cool that YH got to do that! I feel like every single parent should have that opportunity. waitwhat Hopefully B makes out just fine and it's something minor not related to the allergies. dashook That sounds like an awesome night! I might have to POAS with you at some point. I'm on BC but sometimes I miss a day (IUD I know, I'm just creeped out by having something implanted in me). We DTD two days in a row, and I'm so paranoid I even went and got Plan B - who am I? But of course I'm still like "well look what happened last time" paranoid. Difference is I feel much more emotionally available for something like that now so even if it did happen, I'm sure I'd freak, but probably not "world is ending" daily meltdowns.

This is my first day of not drinking at lunch. Sounds like you'll have some catching up to do come dinner time.

Back from all the errands. Just put C down for a nap, which did not delight her.
Now I'm standing here in the kitchen and the fridge is making funny noises. Uh oh.

B's rash is a mystery. The pedi has no clue but agrees that it's not hives, poison ivy, chicken pox, or heat rash. So I need to watch it and if it's still there Friday to call back. It's all over his body except for his back. It's really bizarre. She said we can try Zyrtec also.

Just checking in before the LOs grace me with their post nap presence, which hopefully will be better than their pre nap presence. They were not so lovely going down, esp AV. So much that I decided they were both going to put themselves to sleep and we just kept trying until they both accepted it.
I am EXHAUSTED and if I didn't drink so freaking much (yes for real) this weekend then I'd be drinking at exactly 4:52 when MH walks in the door. Instead I've already told him I will be leaving *them with him and I will be taking myself for some retail therapy. Whatchu got Carter's, Gap, Old Navy, BAnana Republic ?!
We have a mini photo shoot this weekend and I have no clue what any of us are wearing. Also kids need PJs and I want to start buying their holiday outfits.
Edit bc I don't know who Jen is

M's allergist just called with her component blood work results. The parts of the egg and dairy protein she's allergic to are the most severe. Flu shot will be done in stages over a few hours in her office next week with a crash cart on standby and I need to continue with the no diary in my own diet until she's fully weaned. If anyone eats straight dairy or egg they're supposed to thoroughly wipe their lips before kissing her. I forgot to ask about what she's supposed to drink after being weaned because I kept hearing crash cart echo in my head. If she accidentally eats anything she's not supposed to, we have to immediately hit her with the first epi pen and call an ambulance.
I did not expect this. An allergy, yes. Being given the fear of God over the phone, no.

Do they still think there's any chance she could outgrow this, or b/c it's so severe is that not likely? I have no advice or anything, just big hugs. I know this is news no parent wants to receive.

sophiegrace fuck. I'm sorry to hear the severity of M's allergies. That is super scary. I really hope they are just being extra cautious with all of this. So if she does eat something she shouldn't you are supposed to use the epi pen regardless of if she has a reaction of not?

Lord. A box just showed up from my MIL for the children. Packages she sends strike fear in my heart; we have somewhat different taste.

I'm also in the market for an army green military style jacket. Please keep your eyes open for any you come across! I don't want a hood though.

Everyone is freaking out over hurricane Irma down here. Water is sold out currently. My H said Costco was a war zone. I think everyone is being overprepared bc Harvey just happened and we had a super close call last year. But when other people freak out it freaks me out! I did book a hotel room to evacuate just in case. Did not have one last year and had to drive 10 hours which was not fun.

I am so sorry sophiegrace ! On the other hand I'm also so grateful that M has one of the best mommys taking such good care of her and who is on top of this. I know someone else asked if she might get outgrow it, I am hoping that's a yes.

Oh I'm so sorry sophiegrace. That is really scary news. I'm not familiar with those tests. Do they know for sure that the blood test means she will definitely have a severe reaction if exposed? Or could it mostly be cautionary.
