I would just like to say a big thanks for the OAD board McBenny. I've been wishy washy the past couple of days on where tf to go vs making our own proboards forum & to already have it without having to ask/beg/request is amazeballs.

If ppl are happy on their separate boards, can't we all just stay on our separate boards? I mean most of us are part of each site so we can visit each one.
Like this is my "house" but I could go visit someone else at the other "house" like we have a neighborhood.
They do what they want at their house and us at ours and we all visit when we feel froggy and no body's mad.
Then we could have get togethers "block parties" if you will, for everyone to get together and eat and talk about shit.
Maybe uo and ffc could be the block party?
Idk but I'm tired of leaving and arguing and I'm ready to make my home.

The only reason I ever swooped was because I believed that once every group had their own message board for a few weeks, everyone would never come together. I'm not trying to push people around or be bossy or anything. Everyone can and should post where they want. I would love to keep 1,000 people in one place. That's all. I'm bowing out of any pushes because I'm feeling like the bad guy and I don't want to be that. I don't think you're the bad guy. I also don't get the push to have all groups together in one place. I think the people that suggested these moves were out of their element when it came to taking into consideration the special interests of other boards. And I don't blame anyone for that. If there's a house fire, I'm saving me and mine first. It's selfish, but true. As long as everyone has a some type of home now, no matter where it may be, I don't see what all this back and forth is about. Exactly this. If you check my post history on TCF. I checked with several people about do you guys have a plan to move? If you would like to come to a PB forum that was made, let me know. I made several posts letting people know to contact hawkward for IF and loss forum information. I made several posts letting people know Special Needs and Working Parents went to GBCN. All of this to pass information out and not leave anyone behind. Not once did I push anyone (not saying you're saying that) or beg anyone. I offered several groups the whole forum because I thought we were going to be at SM. No one wanted it. I checked with several boards just to see if they had a move plan in place and spread info. I gave several people the IG that Hilarity made in case either place went black. I was never wanting to tell people what to do, where to go. I did not try to spearhead any moves. Once SM shut down my phone blew up about the back up plan which was this forum. I made several posts stating anyone is welcomed. If you don't come, not offended. Anyway, just piggybacking off Ann's post. |

I was trying to make the most popular boards after seeing they had people here, so people would have a home. So when asked by your people, I made that for you guys. You are welcome. Yes but you are saying what rankled you and rankled me and we never had that discussion so I rather not. Anyway, I getting notifications of tags and maybe read one or two. So, that's where the active came from. ETA - I quoted the wrong post. |

I must have stated no less than 30 times in the last two days AmyG was helping to build.
You can't build without Admin privileges. I have two other people building as well.
I got so many posts about why was this person an Admin and that person an Admin and who is this person?
Ok, we have a person to help with HTML. I asked for help with code and building. The people who offered are the people who offered.
I asked Amy to stop making boards because of complaints. I wasn't really online to see what the issue was. Too many boards too fast. Each board she made had a request attached. So then I started getting PMs from Amy, hey this groups wants a board. Then I am getting PMs again about too many boards, etc.
So in my haste, I just removed Admin privileges until I could see what the problem was.
Anyone that posts on mobile knows you can be off one minute and open your phone browser and be here "active" the next.
My apology is that I should have pulled over and communicated with AmyG instead of pulling the plug. For that I am sorry.

I'm here and the other forum right now, as well as the loss one. We're talking about what to do with the loss forum (and we've invited IF to join us, in which case we'll rename ourselves to better reflect the whole community), but right now we're taking a few days to cool off and then decide what to do. And I think this is wise, and maybe something we should all think about. Take a few days, it's been a roller coaster for all of us, some more than others. We need to give this situation some grace, and just give it a few days for everyone to cool off and get some energy back. I feel wiped. I will post in both places for now. You can tell me to fuck off for This, but I think Amy earned an admin title. I get not a lot of people like her, but I personally haven't seen anything malicious from her before, where I have seen malicious posts from the people I'm guessing don't want her as admin. She also helped to build this site, even knowing about 70% of posters don't like her, not many people would care to help them out in that way. |

I just wanted to thank you Admin and AmyG for setting this up. I just hope that everyone is able to make a clear headed and thought out decision on whether to stay here or on sterling's board so that we don't lose anyone in the move. FTR I think you'd be a great admin Admin - you're one of my favorite posters on Parenting and you can make people laugh like no other. Anyhow, I know my opinion isn't much but I wanted to throw it out anyway. Again, I was thinking with the Admin team in place I could be in the background. Change this log in back to Admin and go back to being McBenny the poster. You need to have Admin privileges to build. |

I regret saying anything now. I don't know. I think I'll try stepping back from all boards. I can see all sides and it's hard and I prefer when I can just pick one side and fight for it until I die. I don't think you said anything wrong. At all. |

Those are the groups I am in, so that is all I am speaking to. But I can't keep doing this back and forth with TWO groups for Parenting, personally. #allaboutme |

Well you were saying you were leaving and said bye...so I could only speculate
I was abruptly not an admin with no warning
no note or pm or anything ahead of time
and that hurt my feelings.
I was used to make some boards only cause I was available I started researching how to make this place better
with plug ins and html changes but I shouldn't have.
I'm fine with not being an admin,
it's your place, not mine and that's ok,
common courtesy notification first would have been nice. So thanks for the apology.
