Admin This whole thing is a cluster, I know. The moves to new boards has been both too fast for some people and too slow for others. No one's happy and hurt feelings abound. Everything is a moving target and information changes all the time. There's no clear way to share it and there's a good number of people who don't want to do anything except post. All anyone (who has been jabbering about this) wants is a place where 100% of the same people all stay posting together. For one reason or another, that seems to be impossible. I remain optimistic that we, TCF as a whole, will post in one new home. That's all I've been pushing for. If anyone agrees and wants to help gather up all our lambs into one farm, I'd be super grateful.

@heartbot I understand you're angry. I'm guessing you're mad at me too. The SM thing is one story and McB's posts are another. I'll help clarify my role and thought process in any way. From Minute 1, McBenny never intended to run this site as Queen Admin. There was always plans to get one admin from every population and run this as a committee. That hasn't been clear, I think, because there is a general sense that no one wants to talk about the creation of boards now. Which is tough because people need homes to post. This isn't "her board" - does that make it any better for the communities that are hurt by both the SM and the McB stuff? Because I, for one, don't want to lose you all. |

I thought today was a day of rest? it is, everyone is tired. Because it's a day of rest, it both has and hasn't been on the back side. The plan is to discuss Monday, but Monday is also a work day so I think some (myself included) are trying to smooth over issues in advance because not everyone can devote a full work day to hashing it out tomorrow. |

@heartbot I truly understand that was upsetting. I was reading all of the interactions between Admin and wineandcupcakes as well as to lizblue. Both conversations were about asking so much of the SM forum that we were moving to (please correct me if I'm wrong) Wineandcupcakes as well as I believe o2girl and another were coming for McBenny just as hard. She (imo) seemed to be trying to explain that having the boards positioned where they were didn't seem any different than watching child related commercials, ads or the like. I know it seemed rough around the edges but I truly think that she has the best interest for EVERYONE at heart when she made this. I know that she would want the IF and AL community to feel safe and welcomed. But as far as I'm concerned they were scratching her just as much as she was them. I don't think it was an intentional attack on the community. Just her opinion of what everyone was asking to modify the forum that we had went to. That it was extra to ask for the repositioning of the boards after we had barged in and asked for so much already. I speak for myself and my pov only and I really hope that the IF and AL communities join us wherever we end up and if I had my way it would be here. |

@heartbot, maybe you can offer a solution that would please the loss community? Because all I keep reading is we don't want to go there because X, we don't want to come here because Y. Can you choose one 'admin' and that person can work with all the other people who are trying to find ALL OF US a new home.
Working against each other will only destroy this community further.

I think we can maybe all agree that our biggest issue in all of this is moving too fast.
So, we have two landing spots right now. Let's take a few days and figure all of this out. Everything is still so fresh and I worry if another quick decision is made that we will lose people.

I will stay here, but not if Admin (mcbenny) is run off. She's made it more than clear, repeatedly, that she wants this place run by committee. One of the first things she did was set up loss boards. She's always been incredibly fair and open. Not everyone likes the way she posts but you never have to doubt how she feels and she's never, ever intentionally hurtful. Hi, I've followed all the posted links and ended up several places. I am fine with staying here. I can imagine how hurtful it must be for people to say they want you to step down. It's wrong. I am okay with wherever everyone decides.

So how much do the loss boards visit other boards? Does it make sense for them to have their own space not attached to Parenting, GKU, etc?

I promised myself I would become an extremely active member of the Loss community wherever we end up. I did not feel welcome or comfortable on TCF but I'm going to forge ahead on whatever board we end up on.
I hope those in the Loss community can be mindful that McBenny is in the freshest of grieving stages right now in her personal life. She deserves some grace and consideration for taking on a project like this with the intention of no man being left behind. Note - her intention was not to save any one community. It was to save them all and include everyone. She has stated from post one on the subject that she doesn't want to run the show ala Naria.
I personally feel that having the Loss and IF boards listed high up on the board is such an easy thing to do that it's a no brainer. I feel confident we can compromise and find a way to make everyone feel at home.

Is there someone from the loss community that they would like to admin for them? And if they are happy elsewhere why are we trying to make them be somewhere they have no interest in? If they are interested in staying with the group then I'm sure we can work this out, as long as someone is willing to speak up for them (@heartbot seems to be doing that now). If they don't then there's no need to, but maybe they'd be willing to leave a link here somewhere in case someone finds themselves in need of that support in the future.
